The best coffee in Takapuna. Good food and nice sweets too. I do appreciate their friendly service every time. This is absolutely my favorite cafe:)

I don't just go to a cafe for great coffee, I go for a wonderful experience. Joe's Eatery in my opinion ticks all the boxes. A place away from home, to belong. Relaxed and cosy atmosphere and attentive staff. A visit to Joe's Eatery is a must if you are ever around Takapuna. You won't regret it, detail and service is key, and Joe executes this superbly. Joe and his team will ensure that you won't just have great coffee and food but a memorable experience also.

Very calm atmosphere, very friendly staff, good foods, coffee, liquor. Joe listens to my taste and chooses the best drink. Thank you for every single time. Come to enjoy your coffee and food with solo or with friends or family or business. Recommend this place!

So glad that we have moved down a level and that I come in again and enjoy some of their great selection of wines and delicious, unique food. It's always such a pleasure where the great friendly staff go the extra mile to make sure you have a wonderful experience and cater for a variety of dietary requirements including vegan and gluten free options.

My favourite cafe in Takapuna :) Very friendly staff and great coffee. Highly recommend to get an iced latte if you would like to get something cold & sweet! Also, they have wifi (quite high speed)

I had a really pleasant experience with my partner at Joe's Eatery. The staff here are so nice and welcoming. I got the $18.00 chicken sandwich and my partner got the $18.00 Creamy Mushrooms. We also got a side of Polenta fries which was a bit pricey but well worth the price. The food was fantastic and was served to us in a short time. They also serve Irish coffees here which is not easy to come by. I highly recommend getting this if you need a fresh kick to your day. All and all, a really nice experience here and would definitely checking this place out for breakfast/brunch.

Nice and homey vibes ;) I've had soup of the day which was Capsicum and Tomato, with a hint of spices served with Ciabatta toast.. it was really amazing. One of the best soups I've ever had! Highly recommended.

You guys cater really well to allergies. I couldn't find many places that could do dishes with no garlic and onion until I came here. I told the chef to make anything they wanted just excluding my allergies and they looked so excited to come up with something creative. I really enjoyed the pasta and felt so grateful. I am keen to come here again and bring people I know with food issues like me. Friendly fab service! 10/10 I feel so sorry the roadwork and covid affected your business so much, you guys deserve better :)

We loved our experience in Joe's eatery! The staff are absolutely friendly, they always were with a big smile and make us feeling at home! The food was so delicious and the restaurant is so nice and cozy! Highly recommended ☺️

What a delightful experience! Popped in almost by accident and couldn't believe how accommodating and friendly the staff were. Joe's Eatery is one of my favourite spots. The food is amazing top quality and tastey, the wine, the alcohol selection has something for everyone. Only eatery on the shore who serves beautiful Vittoria coffee 😋. Joe and the team have the best customer service I've ever experienced. So attentive, caring and are genuinely passionate about offering each customer an amazing dining experience. HIGHLY recommend Joe's eatery for the family gatherings, work outings or just a wonderful spot for a light lunch and fragrant glass of wine. 👌

What an amazing host, Joe went the extra mile to ensure my elderly grandmother and toddler were accommodated for. Our brunch was amazing and we really wish your team well in these challenging times for the hospitality industry. If we were local we would definitely be back for a wine and beer in the evening. I moved to Auckland 9 months ago and stumbled into Joe's on my first day at work for lunch... It has been my go-to spot in Takapuna since then. Delicious food, amazing service, great vibe. I even held my 30th at Joe's which was a great night, didn't even consider anywhere else. I personally love the range of beers, and they also serve the best sausage roll and coffee that I've ever had in my 23 years in NZ. There's something for everyone on the menu but the reason I keep coming back is because Joe is a brilliant host. He and his staff make you feel like you're at home and they go the extra mile for you. I don't review many places but recommending Joe's is a no brainer!

Asked for fruit salad. Was not on menu. They made one any way. Plus a really nice yogurt. Than asked is I could buy a champagne flute. Joe went down the road and found me a set. Service is legend. Thank you Joe it made our day

Absolutely and highly recommend Joe's Eatery. Their customer service is amazing, friendly and so onto it that it makes your day and visits to him so enjoyable! Very nice wrap and smoothie. Delicious! The eftpos machine had broken down and we didn't have cash but the proprietor, I guess it was Joe, trusted us to come back another day to pay. Wonderful service, a great attitude!

Big Breakfast goes down well alongside their Vittoria coffee - If you are looking for a tasty meal, or coffee around Takapuna be pop in to meet Jo and the team. Great craft beer selection plus outdoor dining on Hurstmere Street for an evening meal in the heart of Takapuna.

I stopped by for a special Tumeric blended tea and freshly baked Blueberry Muffin with my mum, what was a casual brief tea session turned into a great experience of exceptional hospitality and tasty treats. If you and your family are either visiting Takapuna or are a local like my parents, Joe's Eatery is a big must! the value on all accounts will leave a warm smile on your face.😊

Ordered the Creamy mushrooms and wife ordered the Paratha which we both enjoyed. My 1st cup of mocha didnt taste so good so he asked if he could make another but with less coffee and more chocolate. Well he was spot on, it was a wonderful moca my only regret is i didnt order a larger cup. Great food great vittoria coffee and excellent service. Well done.

The best tasting Biscotti I have ever had, Chips had a nice Cajun taste to then and the Chicken sandwich was on point, will definitely be back again!!! EDIT: went back and tried the pork belly. Was disappointed 4 little chuncks of belly. About 5x5cm on a curry sauce for $19.

Definitely best coffee in Takapuna! As a coffee aficionado, I research about my coffee and found that what they sell is Vittoria ORO - a premium 100% arabica coffee beans from Central and South America. Is a rich, maximum-bodied coffee offering a smooth, full flavour. Give it a go and you will love it too :)

So, so good! I’ve been travelling the north and south island and I am not kidding when I say it was my best meal in New Zealand. Great atmosphere, super friendly staff and amazing food. 10/10 would recommend.

Excellent! I was asked to get "meat ball spaghetti" from my company boss and was wondering around aimlessly, and Joe's Eatery was able to make just that for me! I haven't tried it but it looked delicious!
