We were seated for the 6pm set menu on New Years Eve. We dined in the courtyard, which I just loved. Fantastic atmosphere, no wind, nice and cool (it had been a hot day) and the noise ambiance was muted but with good energy. The service was excellent. Beyond reproach. Friendly and attentive. You sensed the staff were always looking, to ensure guests needs were always being met. The food was lovely. Very fresh with lots of flavour and texture. I asked for a wine match with each course and that too was perfect. Even though it was an agreed 2 hour service, to be cleared for next seating, we didn’t feel at all rushed. It was perfectly timed.

Great place, me and wife went for a Valentine Day lunch. The flounder was very good especially with the flat bread. Thanks to our waitress too, she was awesome and friendly

Such an amazing meal at Kingi. Dishes made with fresh ingredients and we had friendly and attentive service during our meal. The kina on toast was creamy and buttery and the photo doesn't do it justice.
Favourite dish is the yellow belly Flounder with capers and curry leaves. Tender fish that falls off the bone. Seafood Pappardelle was flavoursome and pasta, Al dente!

We had an excellent experience at Kingi, the staff were incredibly attentive. There were plenty of entrees that we shared (the smoked kahawai was delicious) and our mains of Snapper and Flounder were super tasty, plus the heirloom tomato salad was the perfect accompaniment.

Exactly what I needed to finish off the year 2021. My favourite: kina on toast with pancetta from the Chatham Islands. A fantastic menu for all seafood lovers out there!

We loved the whole experience. This started with the waitress who thanked us for bringing our special needs to her attention. A lovely touch. Her service thereafter was just as great. As a group of seven, we managed to order just about everything on the menu and not one complaint. Such simple, dishes, beautiful ingredients and cooked superbly and how fulfilling to know the effort put into the food's sustainability. It lived up to its reputation. Going back soon.

We dined at kingi for the first time last weekend and it exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, staff very friendly and helpful and every inch of the interior design had been thought about perfectly. Sometimes when you eat out you get a bit bored of eating a slightly different version of the same thing, but this menu was fresh, unique and had a strong sustainability ethos. We will definitely be back, I wouldn't change a thing.

I love this place. The staff are ace, particularly the dark haired waitress who has been there for a bit. She always remembers us and gives great wine recommendations. I would literally come here just for the Thousand Gods Sav. But it’s a bonus the interior is also delightful and the food beautiful. My only criticism would be the Venison was 9000 times better with the beetroot salad vs cooked with cacao. I now no longer order it due to this, when it used to a highlight.

Fantastic experience overall... Food was absolutely divine 💗 Service was well looked after and prompt! Highly recommend the flounder... Special thanks to Rachel and Priyank for looking after us!! 🎉

Honestly one of the most photogenic spaces in Auckland. I love everything they use to dress the place - from the raw concrete pillars, linens, squishy sofas and curved leather seats, wooden tables and lights. I’ve been here for lunch and brunch whilst staying at the hotel.
My lunch was delicious - highly recommend the Kina on toast.
Oysters here are super fresh and salty; they taste like the ocean and it’s delicious.
For brunch, the granola I tried was a bit lacklustre, especially compared to the granola served at Amano and Ortolana across the road.
The portions are small, especially in light of the price.
