D.The prices mayn’t be cheap but the food is just awesome. Some of the best fish and chips that I’ve had in my entire life. If you’re passing through Leigh, this is a compulsory stop. You won’t regret it.
J.Battered snapper - $8.90 so good
Half cup chips - $2.50 bit stale
Salt & pepper squid - $16.50 personally prefer a batter that is not so thick, as you tend to lose the squid which should be the shining star. Slaw and sauce was nice

D.This place is so good. Everything they make is delicious! The fish burger is a must-try. Their scones are also fantastic and go great with a cup of coffee. Prices are surprisingly reasonable with a ton of options as well. They even have gluten free buns for burgers and sandwiches. Can’t beat this place.
S.Always good if not great. This is not cheap fish 'n' chips but it's SO worth it. The kind of batter you always hope for, and lovely, friendly service.
I.Local takeaway shop with a selection of sandwiches, fish and chips, pies and cakes. The fish and chips are recommended - fish is fresh and cooked to perfection. Also had the sausage roll which surprised me with a real sausage inside! Very limited seating outside, would’ve been good if there were some seats inside or umbrellas for outdoor seating.

C.Wonderful little fish and chip store which serves delicious and fresh fish. Coffee is also strong and decent, if you're a tartare sauce fan their homemade sauce is worth the price tag.

M.Very high standard of fish and chips. I like the way they are presented. Plenty of fresh lemon with fish. Everything fresh and well cooked. Great chips! You can buy a beer at the General Store and your picnic dinner is sorted.

K.Wow, best fish I've ever had! So crispy, and the batter didn't fall away. The chips were okay, pretty average, but I'd order way more fish next time.
We were so impressed we decided to go back the following morning for breakfast. I had thr BEAT Bap, which was soooo yummy, I couldn't put it down it was so delicious. My husband had their bacon and egg butty, which he also said was amazing.
T.An excellent fish and chip shop near enough to Omaha Beach to drive it there. Been here several times and intend to come back. The fish batter and freshness are excellent, portions are reasonable (but have been bigger not that long ago) and their other offerings give options. Squid rings and kumara chips are good. There is limited space to eat inside or outside but, when you're near the beach, this is not a problem for most! If there was a downside it would be that service seemed lethargic but polite and a 4% surcharge advertised for credit card users. Note: the business was for sale at the time of visiting last.
G.The spicy chicken burger special was fabulous! Extremely generous portion of crunchy chicken, balanced with a good amount of sauce on a toasted sesame bun. At 12 dollars, it was a meal, no chips needed. We shifted the car just 200 metres to enjoy a gorgeous ocean view with our dinner. (Three German girls had the same idea. ) Definitely worth stopping in Leigh!

s.Top chip shop, outdoor dinning area stay and admire the awesome ocean and Little Barrier lsland scenery. If travelling out there for the fish & chips have plan B as they have a tendency to not be open on random days, may have changed? best to ring ahead.
S.Good quality fish and chips with nice little outdoor area to eat. I had Fish(Gurnard, battered and with a wedge of lemon), Chips and a few muscles(ordered 2 but was given 3, probably because they were quite small) and it was all delicious. They also have a reasonable drink selection which includes Kombucha.

A.Under new management and they've really upped the game. Cafe from 8am, Chippy from 11am. All that was good about Leigh Fish and Chip shop retained with a bit of city cafe style added.
H.Great take away food plus coffee and cake. Not a Cafe but there is an outdoor eating space. Excellent place to catch up for a chat with locals.
