Not typically a kebab-lover, but this has to be one of the best kebab spots in CBD. Highly rate both the chicken kebab on rice & chicken salad. Deducting 1 star for the price of $16 for a salad, but I suppose it's the state of things atm with Mexicali Fresh across the road being even costlier.

This is by far my favourite Turkish place in Auckland period! Amazing food, atmosphere & service. Highly recommended x

This place is great. I got stuck in Auckland for a couple of weeks and was staying nearby - this place caught my eye so went in to try. Food was really great, very tasty and a great price. I enjoyed it so much i went back again a few nights later! Would recommend all to try it.

Just walked into this place on a whim. Ordered the Iskender with Lamb. I was excited when they placed the food in front of me. But the Lamb was too tough to enjoy anything at all. I assume it was over cooked and wasn't seasoned well either. By the time I was done, it was just too tough to eat.

So happy! Just ordered on uber eats, asked for no dairy in my kebab on rice. They sent two containers, and has separated the rice as it contained butter. They left a note saying that they added more salad just in case I couldn't eat the rice, and still sent it any way. Such consideration, I feel very comfortable going again with my dietary needs!

Great little place to eat especially late on any day

Yesterday i went to this lovely cafe, as i have been there many years ago when i used to go to Auckland regularly, and i loved their food their food back then, especially the freshly baked bread. It is still very nice food and excellent bread which I recommend. I forgot my phone in the taxi on my way to this place, yesterday, and was a bit stressed as i had to fly back to Wellington. The lady behind the counter was amazing! It is unfortunate that I forgot to ask for her name in the middle of my saga, which was happily resolved by the way, but I just want to thank her and thank her employer for the best quality of food, service and friendliness of staff.

I love the turkish bread used for the kebabs here. The kebab have plenty of beef and it ia the small pieces cooked on the traditional style then finished on the hot plate, which make then nice and caramelised - which I personally prefer to thw alternative (thsenlong stripa of lamb or chicken). There is a good variety of places and the price is not too bad either!

A friend and I came here late on a Sunday night when most other shops were closed. Very thankful this place was open as I was starved! I got the traditional Kebab, which after some ordering snafus was very good and a healthy portion of meat. I had two issues with service while here though. First, I believe someone at the neighboring table got my order as my friend got his plate, the gentleman at the next table got a plate, and then more people that arrived after I did started getting their plates, then the rest of the people at the next table got their plates. I didn't have to ask, the cook at the counter saw I was without my food while my friend was waiting to start his plate and got mine out to me pretty quickly. The second problem was that I ordered mine with mayo as the sauce, I didn't want anything spicy. I'll admit that maybe I didn't understand the menu, but mine came out with chili sauce in it and it was just too much for me to bear. I asked him to make it without the sauce and he did so pretty quickly. My friend said his food was still hot...but I think he was just being polite. This place also has a wood-fired pizza oven, but we didn't try that.

If you're out late and keen for a beer and a kebab, you can't go wrong with this place. Safe, and generally friendly staff with good prices! Would recommend their kebab done with bread instead of a wrap, really excellent! Wish more kebab places in NZ did kebabs like that!

I was grabbing a Cookie Pie at Moustache Milk and Cookie Bar and asked for a quick and tasty spot nearby to grab something and I was directed here...I don't know if it was the fact that this was my first Turkish restaurant, or that I had zero expectations, but the kebab was downright delicious! So wish I had had time to go back again because this is certainly something I didn't get enough of (especially since I had to share with my kiddos!)

I really enjoy the food I regularly buy here. BUT!... 1. 4 dead lamps on the stairs to upstairs. With the wood "strips" used on the stairs themselves, this really is dangerous. 2. In the upstairs toilets, NO facility for drying hands. The drier has been non-functioal FOR YEARS! 3. Frequenrly there are no paper towels for drying hands at the downstairs toilet. Is this a Turkish thing?

A very good kebab place. They also have pizza, and have a good collection of wine & beer. An excellent place to chill out and the best one to get food after midnight. Their baklava is great, and their dolma is very yummy. My favourite is Lamb on rice with hot chilli sauce.

Very reliable at being open late, the pizzas are good and they serve doner kebabs with bread instead of a pita wrap. Expect around 15 minutes for them to serve you just a vodka and Sprite; 40 minutes or so for any food order, busyness doesn't seem to affect this. A good place to go for late night shisha, pizza, better kebabs and drinks. The upstairs is lovely, make sure to ask if you can go up there. The appearance of the bathroom looks like a horror film though, and I'm not sure the stairs' steepness would comply with current regulations. It's nice to see people of all walks of life there, even your average middle aged couple is common. Very K'rd.

It hasnt changed a bit since I first ate there years ago. its no 5 star joint but the food is always good to eat well made and the service is super quick considering that at 4 am the place gets slammed with punters. Better yet its bloody cheap beers for 5 bucks and a good feed for ten or 12 bucks youll do me when im crawling home to sleep hungry and cant be stuffed cooking. the staff always greet me with a smile...Krd would not be the same without these guys... The food was really good, and there was really quick service. The atmosphere wasn't all there; the loud music playing off the TVs plus the hookah smell were super annoying.

Pizza is on the smaller side but very tasty. Don't be fooled by its outward appearance, the food is good.

Absolutely beautiful meals. We had the Lamb Shish Kebab and Mixed Platter . The lamb was perfect and so delicious. Both meals flavorsome and extremely enjoyable. We both so enjoyed our meals and our time at the little Turkish café. We will be making this a regular place to eat. The service was friendly, welcoming, flawless.
