Came by for dinner. There isn't a lot of table space but there are a few outside the shop. There is quite a selection of food including burgers and hotdogs. We grabbed a combo each. We grabbed a table after ordering and it was delivered to us. I had the hotdog with the kumara fries. The toppings on the hotdog was ok but I didn't like the hotdog itself, mostly because of the texture. It was almost like the canned Vienna sausages. The onion rings and fries were really good though. You also get to pick a dipping sauce for your fries and they have quite a few to choose from. They are good hot but once they get cold they get quite soggy. A friend had the parma burger and that was better than the hotdog so it could be a hand and miss type place. I would go back for the fries though since they are quite good and you get a decent portion of them.

The kumara chips are my favourite though the other chips seem eh to me. Plus $1.50 for sauce? And it's not even enough to cover for the huge amount of fries given.

SIIIIICK FOOOOOOD. OMG we had been waiting for so long to go. Delicious. So many options. All vegan. Even the carni's loved it Amazing staff. We ate there twice in a weekend. Waiting patiently for the Queenstown shop to open!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I tried the Parma big size. Compared to my favourite Vege burger from BurgerFuel I didn't like it as much. It wasnt bad tho, just pretty basic and not as big. Filled the gap tho, so can't really complain.

Edit: After receiving a response from the owner, I have decided to reconsider this review. While my experience was subpar at this location, the response below speaks volume about how much the restaurant cares about its customers and strives for a good experience. (Note: this edit was unsolicited and of my own will) Original Review: I don't understand all the hype around Lord of the Fries. I ordered the Shoestring regular box with the garlic aioli and quite frankly, they tasted like soggier McDonalds french fries at a premium price. Staff were unfriendly ad price was outrageous for the quality of food received. Additionally, one of my fries had mold growing on it (photo attached). The place seems overrated.

Clean little restaurant with friendly staff, fast service and great opening hours(open until late). I went in to get the limited edition vegan burger together with a medium fries and 'Parisian' Aioli sauce. It was the best vegan burger I've had in a long time! Crunchy outside with a good texture inside the burger and topped with vegan bacon and vegan cheese. I was absolutely STUFFED. Definitely a burger without fries is a full meal! After I went to a concert that night I stopped by again at 2AM for a take away burger for my boyfriend. PROS: Clean, Small but still seating available, Fast service

Honestly don't know why this place gets negative reviews?? Just read a few there and they are all wrong. I've only ever had extremely positive experiences with lord of the fries. All of the food is amazing. The staff haven't been like super overly friendly, but in a good way. They are genuine and I absolutely love that. 10/10 in my opinion

Loved every second. Ordered the parm, chicken n waffles and the loaded fries. Loaded fries were maybe the best I’ve ever had, the imitation meat was insane. Burgers were great but definitely go for the fries, I will be going back ASAP

The breakfast chili egg is one of the best vegan bites to eat and is something I look forward to more than anything else on their menu. It's made fresh so you might sit for 5 minutes and wait but with free wi-fi and plenty to look at in the surrounding shops of the arcade, it won't be long before your buzzer is going off, letting you know your food is ready. Basic seating inside and out.

hotdogs have always been the only thing I've missed, and Lord of the Fries fixed this for me. Best dogs; better than the "real deal" their burgers are also top notch, too. I, like probably most other customers, highly recommend the poutine. Huge value, impossible to finish on my own. Above all else, Lord of the Fries is proof that vegan fast food is not only achievable, but can also be affordable. You won't spend more than you would on any non-vegan fast food, and the quality of food and service is above and beyond any fast-food restaurant I've ever set foot in. Do yourself, your guts and the environment a massive favor and eat here, today!

I crave their vegan chicken burger and vegan hot dog with extras. Everything they do is vegan which is why they taste different but are healthier for you than meat and dairy (Doctors for Nutrition advocated). They even have vegan chicken drum sticks and chips that people tell me the love. Even have vegan aioli sauce. Even have vegan eggs in vegan beef burger! Their open hours are the best. No animal cruelty here :D Staff are the most welcoming and nice, out of all the (vegan and non vegan) restaurants I have been to. They really do care for you and are happy to have a chat when not busy. They give you a beeper when its time to collect your great tasting food :)

4.5 stars really cos only disappointment was the small inside eating area and outside was no fault to LOTF's but ciggerette smoke was constant. Loved the original burger and chicken burger though if not a mustard lover leave out mustard and very generous on both mustard and mayo so would get less mayo next time too! Corn dogs amazing too! Thanks we will be back definitely

Awesomely yummy fries, shakes, hot dogs and burgers; have not had a chance to try other stuff on the menu yet but all is vegan and very delicious! A little on the expensive side but it is NZ so this is not a surprise, well worth the cost as menu is meat-free/cruelty-free!

I usually really enjoy vegan food but this stuff was only okay wasnt the best. Staff/service wise again not the best. And a but pricy considering the taste. They sell vegan hot dogs too which is pretty cool and quite filling. But the sausage meat is subpar not bad but not that great either. Overall for the money spent i wish i got more, either more flavour or more quantity. Worth a try, as there arent that many vegan restaurents in auckland but doubt i will ever go back

Its really great that place caters for loads of dietary needs...so maybe I'm being a little harsh, but it was just "ok" for me. The burger was alright, but the fries were heavily over salted!! I'd go again if I had to, but wouldn't rush back. Staff and service was good.

Fast and good service. I got the Melbourne hot dog and regular kumura fries and it was very delicious! My one minimal criticism would be that it would be nice if a sauce was included with the fries (perhaps a limited cheap selection, then pay more for more expensive sauces), other than that great!

Great food, and the service has improved too as online orders are now ready to collect upon arrival! LOTF definitely makes a vegan lifestyle much easier and enjoyable! I can't believe they have vegan corn dogs omg!!

Is it cheap? No. Is it speedy? No. Lord of the Fries has done something that many people thought impossible, only a few short years ago. They have popularized vegan and vegetarian food. The long lines at night, the seldom seen seating space, the occasionally lengthy waiting time - these are signs of progress and evolution. Not only is the food trending, it's delicious! Plant based chicken, beef and fish alternatives are all available. I recommend the chick'n parm sandwich. It's lovely!

Just arrived from the USA and found Lord of fries on Happy Cow site , well to my surprise it was DELICIOUS ! I’m a French fry expert and they were the best! Shari assisted me and she was Amazing. She recommended the fried Chickn and OMG , it was AWESOME , the absolute best vegan fried chickn I’ve ever had Anywhere ! I’ll be back on my next trip to New Zealand to see Shri . She was super pleasant .. Thanks for a great lunch !

I tried the Melbourne hotdog, and it's yummy. The texture is similar to a frankfurter, without the taste of meat. Good amount of tomato sauce, mustard, and onions on top of the sausage, wrapped with a yummy long roll. Yummy vegetarian food, and I'm a meat lover.

Fast Vegan Food served by real people, not robots! A tidy and humble space that reeks of deliciousness. Most of the time it's perfection in a bun, but every so often a burger or fries can be a little less than perfect, hence the 4 out of 5 stars. The American hotdogs are the real jewel in the LOTF crown, but don't let me tell you that - go have a hoon on one yourself, tell em' Doot-Doot sent ya!

A friend showed me the place recently. The service is excellent and the chicken super tasty. They gave us the wrong order and even though we were already far away they came to find us in the park to let us know that we could go and find the right one and stay with the one they had already given us.
