Great spot & we'll keep secret! The chicken is fantastic, with an interesting selection of beers...
I went for lunch, so allow an hour to enjoy your surroundings this is not fast food.😄
Four stars.

I enjoy eating here, and I always enjoy the food. Staff were friendly and engaged, and seemed genuinely pleased to be operating.
the hot chicken sandwich was just a joy to eat, and their take on a gin and tonic (of which I had a couple) was awesome.
Casual, funky dining and never had a bad meal.

Best fried chicken in town and I loved the tap beer which was served in a chilled glass! This picture is telling you everything. Try this place, you will not be disappointed.

We were in the store at a non peak hours, love the nature brewing beer and the fried chicken! The staffs were very friendly, fantastic place to meet friends, or work contacts for a casual catch up. Will definitely be back to try some more of their menu items.

We came by for dinner in St. Kevins Arcade to try out Nook but were pleasantly surprised when we were able to order from both Lowbrow and Nook. We took up the offer and ordered an 8 pack of wings. We were able to get half and half so half was the original and the other the mild and smokey.
The wings came in a bucket which was interesting. The original was really tasty. The mild and spicy wasn't as nice since it didn't seem to stand out. We were also able to use the bucket to take away the leftover wings.
The seating area was in between both restaurants with menus for both of them. The waiter came by to take our orders and serve us the food. It was nice to have the option of food from two different restaurants and being able to mix and match it for dinner.

Delicious food and great drinks! Highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a chill place in town. Awesome customer service, we had the best fried chicken dish in city!

Love the food and everything here! Vegetarian tempura don, fish burger.

Actually is the best fried chicken in Auckland! First had them at the fried chicken festival and have been heading here ever since! The hot sour wings are actually the most unique tasting flavours I've had and I think I'm addicted! Even the OG flavour hits different to any other fried chicken! Also good to know their wings are organic so you're not actively dying from eating 3000 of their wings!
Definitely a bonus being able to order from Nook next door! (prawn toast is amazing!)
Sundays are my favourite days of the week as wings are 2$! Love ya Lowbrow!

Probably one of the best vegetarian burgers I've had. Chicken is on point!

One of the best fried chicken in town. Highly recommended. Yummy

I enjoy eating here, and I always enjoy the St Kevin's Arcade vibe. I went here last when we were still under level 2 lockdown and it really lifted my spirits. Staff were friendly and engaged, and seemed genuinely pleased to be operating.
I think they cut their menu back, but under the circumstances that's understandable. But, the hot chicken sandwich was just a joy to eat, and their take on a gin and tonic (of which I had a couple) was awesome.
Casual, funky dining and never had a bad meal.

The hot and spicy chicken sando is probably the best fried chicken sandwich I've had in Auckland. Fries are the nice skinny kind too.
The flavour is good! I wish the bread was a bit stronger to hold up to the ingredients/sauce, it does tend to come apart as you are eating. Where is that structural integrity? :)
The wings are ok. If you are used to North American style wings, I do not recommend. The hot spice flavour was not spicy at all, so I can't imagine how bland the mild flavour is.

Great service, had the MacDaddy and Fries. Burger and fries were great, would be 5 stars if the burger was bigger - needs to be at least the size of a BK chicken if you’re charging 15 big ones.

Found a table right away which was cool. You seat yourself at a clean table and they provide table service. I had the mac daddy and the garlic bread and cheesy fries. Loved the sides and enjoyed the burger. Also had the hemp gin and chronic which was interesting. Its a very hip place. I would go back for the sides, so yummy.

Sad to see Lowbrow has cut their original menu back so much. No more deep fried pickles, salted caramel pretzel sundae, ceviche. Even the pull apart Parker rolls garlic bread is gone. The menu is so limited now there’s not much left any longer to differentiate it between many other chicken places. Hopefully that changes once Queens Rise comes back into operation after maintenance. We still had great chicken and fries, and the service was friendly as always, I didn’t find St Kevin’s arcade a very nice environment (it feels a little too much like a mall food court to me, I just wanted to eat and GTFO) but it’s no longer my go to recommendation :(
16/06/2020 - quick edit to say thank you to Jordan for replying and giving context, sensible decisions behind the menu cuts, and I’ll still be visiting lowbrow. Thanks again Jordan.

Nice food with good flavour. However the price is not so nice for the portion you get. $4 to add fries on that are the size of McDonalds small fries.... So definitely could be a bit more generous with the portion size.

Good food, somewhat surly service. Ordered burger with no sauce, came slathered in mayo. Bit pricey for the portion size, but quality is decent.

Amazing burger although I think they made them a little smaller 😂 but Lowbrow make an amazing burger! Amongst the best in Auckland!

Juicy chicken & the best burger 🍔

Good burgers, good sides, good beer.. good times.

Not much food for vegans/vegetarians and kinda expensive. However, the food we got was extremely delicious and the staff was very friendly and nice.

Nice burger and food joint in the arcade! Yummy food, and using good ingredients (bostock chicken)
J.
Excellent food and service. You can mix and match from the two restaurants.

(Translated) Good beer and the chicken wings were great. The caesar salad was good and sufficient. But ... the hall is loud.

Gutes Bier und die Hähnchenflügel waren klasse. Der Cäsarsalat war gut und ausreichend. Aber....die Halle ist laut.
