Serving upscale katsuretsu in the heart of Sunnynook, I was able to enjoy their signature pork tenderloin served alongside aesthetically plated spices, tonkatsu sauce, white rice, shredded cabbage with mayo and finally a warm bowl of miso soup. With locally sourced pork, the meat served was not only very tender but was rich in taste and flavour! With a minimalist interior, the restaurant was spotless and the staff were very kind. Would absolutely recommend for anyone in the area looking for a refined but casual Japanese dining experience.

We came for a birthday 🎂 dinner and we weren't disappointed everything was so delicious, the staff were awesome.. We all ordered something different but of course everyone stuck 🙄 in before I could get photos. I got the cheese katsu so good and the truffle salt was to die for. We also got chicken karaage so delicious and crispy. Number 1 had the yakisoba no complaints from him Number 2 had the curry katsu I tried some of the curry sauce and that was out the gate......

When you walk in the door, you will see that the place is sparkling clean from top to bottom. The food is on another level altogether, everything is made for Scratch! Even the breadcrumbs used to make the katsu batter. Home made miso, fresh fluffy rice and home made pickled radishes and sesame slaw that will make you feel as if they hand sliced it to order! Premium quality katsu, very tender cuts. One of the best katsu dishes I’ve ever tried. The presentation of the dishes is very appealing, the portions are sizeable, and a variety of side-dishes are provided. Great value for money. Friendly staff and clean environment. A popular place for dining out. Takeaway is also available, and it was busy when I was there. Highly recommended!

Had the cheese katsu. Cheese is inside chicken. Best to have it while it’s hot and still stringy. Curry is an extra but definitely goes well with the meal.

The meat has no smell, and it is kind and clean, but the oil is too old to spoil the taste. The price is higher than using commercial sources. So it wasn't very special.

Good food, friendly staff, and very clean. Definitely a good place to go if you want some tonkatsu. Though as someone who can make tonkatsu at home, the tonkatsu I had was not very crispy, and the misodare sauce was a little underwhelming. Still, not bad overall.

So fresh and delicious, even for takeaway. They separate everything so the crunchy katsu and karage doesn't go soggy. We got the pork loin katsu and curry katsu with karage chicken. The portions are huge. We probably could of shared one meal and got a side. We also got a side of takoyaki which tasted so legit! Been wanted to try this place for ages and finally did! Would try eating in next time so it's even fresher!

The miso katsu was nice and somehow was cheaper than the other katsu. I liked the pickle and the rice was just the right texture. I could see a lot of care went into producing these meals. A bit on the pricey side but if you can afford it, then choose Manoah.

This place is such a gem! They know us know so when they see us coming they start to prepare our drinks before we walk up. 😊 Very friendly and the tuna sandwiches are my favourite! The food is fresh, the staff are warm and welcoming and the inside of the cafe is adorable! A great place to get a cup, sit down with your lap top to get work done, or a catch up with a dear friend and have a lunch date!

If you can only visit one Eatery on the Shore this year it has to be this humble yet extraordinary Japanese Eatery operated by professional and friendly Koreans. The spicy kimchi Udon soup I will dream about, and the tender chicken filets, fresh side dishes yummy. I will be back many times. The place is called Manoah premium katsu & eatery and really deserves the "premium". I hope it continues and that the great price value balance is maintained. Arigato Gozaimasu

I am absolutely stoked with the arrival of this cafe in the area. The Japanese Set menu is incredible. It’s authentic at every level. The staff are kind and friendly. Highly recommend this place for lunch. If only they were open nights and weekends!

It's getting much better than what it was. Service is great. This place is nice and quite, worth visiting when other places are closed or too busy. Food was fine.
