Well deserved five stars, we are from West Auckland did not know what cafe to go to visit for good coffee so we looked for the busiest one. Happy to have found the best coffee, beautiful wood fired pizzas and the staff were friendly and efficient. The menu is excellent so many things on there that appealed to us. If you are visiting or live there go and see them it’s a must for great coffee and food. Really happy we found you and will go back when we visit Devonport

Went there for lunch. We ordered whitebait fritter, seafood linguine, curly fries and drinks. For drinks, caramel milkshake and a cosmopolitan. Well, the portion size was good but lets talk about the quality and taste of the food. The whitebait fritter is a must try as I haven’t seen this anywhere in Auckland. The seafood linguine could have been better, specially the sauce. The caramel milkshake was like a frappe and very icy. The place has a good selection of bakery items and lot of options for ice cream. But their one scoop is like a kiddy size and pricey. Overall, the experience was basic and probably just gonna stick to coffee and the bakery items if I have to go there again.

Food was good, ice cream is good, table service is good, but when paying the gentleman in the pineapple shirt was not happy that my friends wanted to split the bill and made his feelings known. Not someone who should be in hospitality...but everyone else was lovely 😊

As it happens, I did take a photograph of the crème brulé. It was lovely and nicely presented. The main course was a tuna steak and although I didn't capture it forever, I can confirm that it hit the spot too. I went back the following night and had similar items (not the same) and although it was nice, it wasn't quite as wonderful - hence the four, rather than five stars

Just had lunch with partner and father in law. My father in law is vegetarian and asked for vegetarian eggs Benedict. The nice surprise was that the chef added toast potatoes and mushrooms to the dish. He loved it. I had the calamari salad which was yum and my partner the pizza which he said was very good. Fantastic service, great pizzas and refreshing/delicious iced Chocolate. The busiest place in Devonport and loved by turis & locals. Manuka is our perfect excuse to comeback to Devonport everytime!

Very bad service - 15 minutes to have our order taken and 40 minutes for food to arrive. We ordered the squid (6 pieces for around $20 which seemed poor, it looked like a starter portion) the whitebait fritter was tasty although a little small. Fish and chips were good and the beef burger was excellent.

Can’t really fault this restaurant. Every time we have been their food is so yum! Service generally pretty good too, waiters are lovely and you can have a good laugh with them too, but can be a little bit slow at taking orders. A must try if you are in Devonport.

Really nice cozy cafe. Really disappointed in the smashed avo. They basically made guacamole. Smashed avo should be just that, but it was mixed with tomatoes and TONS of finely diced raw red onion. The menu made no mention of this. It really ruined the meal and I was really looking forward to that dish in particular. Great service though!

Amazing cafe/restaurant on Victoria road in Devonport. The flat white was wonderful. The seafood chowder, mango chicken haloumi salad and corned beef were delicious. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. The pastries looked delicious as well but we ran out of stomach space. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Devonport. Lots of street parking nearby for those driving.

Freshly prepared food. Generous helpings. Loyal clientele. Certainly the very best café in Devonport. Outstanding balance in the menu items to attract all ages. Went again and my friend had the whitebait fritter Delicious, he said. The decor is so dated that it feels like it's the 1970s but I really like the time warp feel of this great café. The salmon and spinach rosti is absolutely terrific.

Superb service - friendly and inviting - generous portions. Reasonable pricing. As an example of the attention to detail and portion size, the Eggs Benedict with salmon included a salmon piece not just a slice.

The staff, presumably the owner is very friendly, and very helpful. The service is efficient and professional. The blueberry muffin I had for morning tea was excellent. Light and fluffy with plenty of blue berries. The decor and ambience is warm and welcoming coming in from a chilly morning. The coffee is equally good, good cream, strong but not bitter.

Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve ever tried in Devenport. The place is nice and cozy inside, but also cool outside if you like the smell of nature. I took my dad there at around sunset, we sat outside and the waitress came to take our order. They have a wide range of seafood dishes, as well as Italian dishes that include seafood. They have a good drinks menu as well but my father and I preferred water & after we finished we got a mochacchino. The only thing I didn’t really like was that they were a bit pricy, but it’s understandable given the type of dishes they serve! In the end we ordered this nice pudding-like dessert that was really good, but I can’t remember the name unfortunately.

Very very impressed with both the service and the menu.. we visited with a 2 yo child for brunch, the staff went put of their way to accommodate our pram and offered a high chair. The food was amazing, my pancakes moist and packed with blueberries, fresh fruit on the side. Hubby's seafood chowder contained 6 different fish types, and the eggs bene perfect also. Kids breakfast simple and yummy! An all around excellent dining experience 👌

Nice interior, friendly staff. I only went there for ice cream with some friends, but we had a good time. We sat in a cozy corner and had no problem in having a conversation, even though we were eight people. So good ambience. I had two scoops of ice cream, salted caramel and rum & raisin. They worked well together and tasted delicious. It only cost 7 NZD for two scoops. Taste tests were allowed.

After a short ferry ride from Auckland on a glorious Sunday we stumbled upon "Manuka Cafe", what a treat!! The corned Beef Hash was just amazing and my partner had the Big Breakfast, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Fast and friendly service, great coffee too. We will be back to try the dinner menu, well worth the short ferry ride over.

Came for a leisurely Saturday lunch and was our third visit in about 2 months, which is saying something. Wonderful service by very friendly staff, terrific food and a great atmosphere. Amongst the food ordered at our table was the pepperoni pizza (served piping hot and was delicious), fish and chips (perfectly cooked), prawns (a teeny bit under-seasoned) and penne pasta with chicken and mushrooms (creamy and tasty with a balance of lovely fresh herbs). Also, their hand-cut fries are amazing! There were alot of wait staff yet each was extremely friendly and attentive. Just a great place with a nice vibe. Recommend for any casual meal day or night.

I took my mother here today for coffee only. I had single shot flat white and my mother had double shot flat white. I was impressed with the flavour of mine (being single shot) as it was strong taste. My mother was very happy with hers too. This was best coffee I have had from a cafe for a very long time. Been here a few times, friendly staff and always very helpful. Good eatery and the portions are big, we shared the meat platter and all the meats were done to perfection. Great chip wedges and a healthy portion of salad. Great being able to sit outside and enjoy the good weather and watching the world go by. Then the ice cream is too awesome and such great flavors and the affagato is so good. Will definitely be back and the eatery is highly recommended.

We were staying in the Devonport area for 3 nights. Found this gem on the second night and was so good, we went back again on the 3rd night. Food was excellent and a good range of drinks available as well as friendly and welcoming staff. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Friendly and helpful staff. Service can be off or delayed on busy days and you may get told that the item you ordered is not available anymore as happened in our case. It appeared quite busy on the evening we visited. Outdoor seating is available at this location. Good place for quick bite. Street parking is available at this location. Didn't find the entrance wheelchair friendly. Good for groups, families and celebrations.

Not one to normally have a favourite spot, Manuka has become a destination with their simple but consistently delicious food. After also ten visits I can heartily recommend the seared scallops, monk fish and seafood chowder. A simple atmosphere with friendly- albeit sometimes overly busy staff- their quality food comes with no pretense. Highly recommended.

Manuka is our go to favourite restaurant in Devonport and we've spent many a long lunch, early dinner or family get together there. The food is always excellent and very reasonably priced for the quality received. The staff also rate a special mention as they are friendly and always ready to accommodate. Special mention goes to the gorgeous fish pie and steak sandwich although the pizzas are excellent too. Highly recommended!

Went here on 2nd Jan and was super busy. Prices were on the higher side, although not helped by the 15% public holiday surcharge. Food was delicious and didn’t take too long to come out considering how busy they were. Toilets however were a disaster, full of flies, no soap, bins overflowing. I advised a waitress of this as she was walking past but she did not stop.

I had the whitebait fritter when I visited this place. It tasted good but for the price, I wish it included with more salad to cut down the taste of deep fried fish. The grated parmesan outnumbered the greens. Also noticed that the staff wasnt friendly and looked like they arent happy with their job. I understood after sitting there for a few minutes. The lady owner was a bit too hard on the staff.

The restaurant has a number of varieties in breakfast. It's near Devonport wharf and opposite across the street of Devonport library. It got both inside and outside seating arrangement. Lot of oil. Also they served with one slice of brown bread with butter. Price was it's expensive.
