Yes, the ice cream machine works and they steam buns. This McDonalds makes good food and has friendly service. This is my local McDonalds and it’s not until I visit other stores (guilty 😅) that I realise how good this one is. I rate the new Mozzarella burger!!

Filled our stomach at 11pm on a Friday night. Not much fuss going around, good thing the store was open as the drive-thru cars were lining up. Self-service machine ordered & food was quickly served.

Best customer service ever that we have had at a fast food place the lady over the intercom taking our order at about 8 pm last night was awesome. The other staff at the window were great as well. Nice to see a fast food place have nice staff for once. Friendly people make a business. 😃

Best McDonalds on the shore hands down. Absolutely blows Belmont out of the park. Great service - they’ve only refused to steam my buns once ever because I ordered a Big Mac (which is understandable as there is 3 segments of bun as opposed to 2). If I could rate it a 6/5 stars I would. But if I could rate it an 7/5 stars I wouldn’t (unless HQ engineered a steaming machine that can steam Big Mac buns as well) Cheers

It's McDonald's. They didn't screw up my order. Fries were not hot. Good place for me to change my daughter's nappy and grab something to eat.

Please tell staff to check the main carpark when people have to pull over and wait from the drive through! Multiple times I have been asked to pull to the side and the designated spaces are full, so I have to go and park in the main carpark. The staff for some reason never check the main carpark even when the spaces are clearly full and I have been left waiting for ages and had to go inside to get my order several times.

Our favourite Maccas! Always fast at the drive through, even when it’s busy, but never miss anything from your order! Chips are always fresh and hot. Always a great experience

Fresh and still hot 15 minutes later when we ate. Only they gave me a BLT bagel instead of the orderd NYC bagel 🥴

Food usually always hot and fresh and customer service good except for night shift manager.

The drive thru ordering lady asked for optional extras to my mochaccino, and I said yes. It made it Soo much better!

Can't beat this beach on a good day. Surf is awesome, sand is beautiful sand and scenery. The surf can be a bit strong and there can be rips. But there are life guards and flags to swim between if you are worried. Downside is the parking, there just isn't enough parking in the peak of summer madness and the streets are yellow lined. Get in early and you'll be fine.

This is the best McDonald's on North Shore where the service is top notch. You can even see the franchisee owner working at the counter during peak hours!

A fairly small McDonald's on the inside so during sports days it can be really packed and the drive-thru cue long. The clean though, probably cleaner than most McDonald's but in saying that there's not a lot of space to mess up. Service on the other hand is really slow. Standing around chatting a burger does not make.

Messed up my order and was 40 mins late to arrive

I always feel like I've been bait and switch when I buy a cheeseburger. One gerkin. Robbery I tell you. That said I eat here often.

Service seems to be slacking off a bit, and the flow of traffic thru drive thru doesn't seem to be getting any faster these days either, maybe the staff inside need to pull finger and work to the rush hour point of times maybe

It was chaos unfortunately. Another customer enquired about his order since he had been waiting awhile, the response he got was " there is only 1 of me and so many of you, what do you want me to do?". This summed up the experience.

It's okay. I work just down the road, so we do a maccas dash when on the nite shift cause it's the only place close and is open at 2am. The range of food available at that time is minimal, I guess that's to be expected but it should state at the order window what is available. I found that after reciting your order being told you can't have it....boring!!

This maccas is normally the best on the shore, but last night they were let down! 13th April 2021. They must have someone new working thats unbothered about food waste and standard quality because I ended up with a full handful of pickles on a burger that doesn't come with pickles, and at least half of a whole red onion. Pulled the unwanted items out, but when this sort of sabotage happens, it makes me worried what else they have done to the food.... One star for this meal but have given 3 stars as they are normally great.

I had a delightful visit today. The staff here went the extra mile for me when ordering at the drive through. Not only did the lady taking my order show patience they also named my daughters' bags. What a great touch.

McDonald's Akoranga Drive is a great example of how all McDonald's restaurants should be. Food is consistent good, the restaurant is clean and tidy and the staff are polite and friendly. As a traveling rep I have stopped in to many fast food restaurants around the country, and the McDonald's on Akoranga has proven to be both tasty and reliable, two things that set one golden arch apart from another. Can be busy in the morning and at peak times if you are a drive through coffee kinda person.

It was ok just a bit smaller and very noisy!! After school was probably not the best time to go lol. It was clean and tidy and the staff cleaned up vacated tables quickly.

Sorry but they are probably to busy too really care. The worst is getting no napkins in drive through (almost every time) with a order of 2-3 burgers n chips... So cheap#!!! Also gotten the wrong order but they fixed that pretty quickly

It's MacDonald's. What more can I say? If you enjoy cardboard soaked in fat and layered to resemble a burger that's been left behind the fridge for a year, then you are in the right place. Perfect for those hungover mornings when you're trying to replace regret with food.

Food was good, staffs are too loud at the front counter and the staff who served me wasn't friendly, all he said was yeah,yeah.... Also some of the staffs spoke in a different language out loud while the customers waiting for the food, I am not sure whether they are talking about us... That's nude... Hope they change these....

Went through at 8.30pm after spending all day at hospital and had the best fillet of fish combo I've ever had. Super fresh and really hot, the chips were perfectly cooked and crunchy. Just what I wanted, thanks heaps guys. Good job.

It was a busy new years, just after midnight. The MacDonald's team handled the drive thru line, which extended to the road, like seasoned professionals. My order was arduous. A McChicken with a fish pattie instead of chicken. Why not just order the fish fillet? You know why.

Nice McDonalds with drive through or self serve machines inside to place your order if you don't feel like interacting too much with other people. Be aware that they have changed the parking rules recently in the car park and it is now often hard to find a free park to dine in.

Not sure why Mc Donalds need reviews? Their food is pretty standard, everyone knows the brand. Quite generic. Food was, average, as always. Customer service was fine, the store was reasonably well kept.

Good at what it does and what it does is act as the budget cocopuffs of burgers. Nice to eat but youll forget it instantly. Dont go here expecting great food or an awesome day out. But certainly go here if you want a cheap bite to eat after doing something else or hanging with your mates.

Good morning MacDonald’s ! I went to northcote MacDonald’s drive thru at 02:00, the Indian guy who served me such a nice friendly person. He got brilliant customer service skills Nd also the food was very delicious, I enjoy every single bite of my food, I don’t have words to say thank you for the food Nd service !

Clean and tidy. They cafe took a long time and coffee tasted a bit off (bitter).

Forgot my chips , had to waste gas to go around drive thru to get more. Slack.

The Kiwiburger is the best. It is great that Mac has kept it going. Very efficient and fast service right to the table. Keep it up.

Just read a few of the reviews. Hmm. Some of the 1 star peeps should go around stores in wider Auckland. I would rate all of the North Shore stores in the 3-5 star range. But, I suppose it depends on your criteria and what other stores you've been too. Akoranga is a 4 on my scale. My only issues are that; - they could be better with customer service, and, - they claim to not give free coffees, earned through the loyalty card system, in the drive-through.

Just like all other McDonald. But one big issue not enough seat. Parking there can be a bit of a pain too you have to watch the floor. Some area require you to pay for parking.

It's nice like any other macdonalds but drive through service can be a bit sloooow, nice staff and good service.

Just left McDo. I knew I parked my car just beside the lane that says no parking. Some big guy with a big suv car telling me I am not supposed to be parked there. Probably the owner. I drove off & checked the lane where I had parked, it says "McDo customer". We are not going back!!!

As McDonalds as any McDonalds, but the drive thru can get quite backed up though which then ends up blocking much of the parking lot entrances/exits to the other businesses.

It is a Macdonalds store selling the same stuff worldwide. Traffic is the main issue at this store.during peak times but it's proximity to sports venues is great after games for the kids

Good lay out and goid sized play ground for families with Kids, just watch where you park, the McDonald's parks are clearly labelled but the parking company are ruthless.
