The best service we've had in na eatery in a long time, manager was friendly and was attentive to our needs. We had 3 kids and he made sure we were well looked after. Food was good too, will definitely come back here

Found this place by chance. Great food! Dog friendly if you sit outside of course, our doggies got their very own water bowls. These photos are the lamb salad and the smashed avocado on vogel. Great lunch!

As soon as I walked in I was happily greeted which I thought was quite nice, such great views of the beach and great vibes from all the staff. I highly recommend this place if you're close by, looking for somewhere to drink a few beers with a couple of friends or just grab something to eat. It's honestly such a lovely place to visit.

We came by to try their unlimited dumpling offer. It didn't require everyone on the table to do it which made it better for those not wanting dumplings. We did book beforehand online which made it easy. They also gave a reminder closer to the day. The bar is quite big with a smaller dining area in the back. The dumplings were alright. They had three different ones, boiled pork, steamed shrimp and fried mushroom ones, ?You start off with two of each then you order more as you want. I quite liked the mushroom one and through the shrimp one was a bit too peppery. It was a nice meal, exactly as advertised.

Great spot specially on the sunny day sitting outside right by the beach. The food is really nice good quality at good prices we had to sharing meat platter and it was delicious. They have some TV streams to watch sport and a really good indoor area as well. Good attentive service. A great selection of beer and spirits.

We were unable to get service at 2 places in St Heliers and Morton's was the 3rd place we tried today. When we walked in, we were greeted and seated and menus and water arrived quickly. It is a large space with an outdoor area and Sabrina and her 2 colleagues were friendly and efficient and did a great job of taking care of all their diners. Thanks Sabrina - we really appreciated your service today. The food was good - we had fish & chips, salt & pepper squid and salad - good size portions.

Moretons is an absolute mint pub out in St heliers. Really good location, good ambience, and decent pub grub. They were extremely hospitable big shout out to our waitress Megan for handling a large group. Did an awesome job. The steaks ordered was so damn good cooked to perfection. (Medium rare) However, the other food ordered by my group unfortunately wasn't great. Lacked flavour and seasoning. Nonetheless due to the ambience and location I will definitely come back here and even better they're on Joylabs scheme. [Review was edited to add more explanation]

Popular locals spot in a busy corner location across the road from the beach. Good service. Decent pub food. Big screens. Gets busy on Fridays with the leave work early crowd. Not a special place but does everything well.

Everyone is this place makes you feel welcome on their venue. Staff members are attentive to your needs and will go through each item of the menu if necessary. We had the ocean shared board, it was enough to share with all 4 of us. Mussels were fresh and beautifully seasoned. Great place to chill on a sunny day.

I went here for brunch on a Friday with 2 friends. The staff was incredible, atmosphere was pleasant and the food was great! I liked that they had a diverse menu. I ordered the lamb salad and ended up gettin bao buns take away for my husband. Both dishes were excellent. The coffee was great as well. The waitress didn't hardly say a word or crack a smile during the entire meal, even just placing menus on our table without a "Hello" or "Good evening". Finished the evening without a simple thank you or goodbye. We both had the Fish Market salad, tasty fish but unfortunately what they claim to be Fattoush is few bits of lettuce of a plate. Overall a fine experience but nothing special. Wished we'd gone down the road and tried somewhere else.

Beautiful, peaceful and lovely staff. If you're dumb enough to go when they're super busy and complain about it after you need to get real. Favourite place to catch up with friends over a drink and snack. The prawns are gorgeous, and the staff very hard workers that are well mannered. Very helpful with my gluten free diet requirements.

Had lunch on a cold Tuesday afternoon. and it was quite quiet so we were frequently checked on by staff. Was nice but verging on excessive. I ordered the large cola ribs with beer battered fries. Fries were great, ribs were a little bland but the portion was good. My partner ordered rocket and pear salad. That was quite plain and had nothing in it to offset the balsamic vinegar that it was doused with, so that was all we could taste. Coffees were very good though so overall a good experience but not excellent. Was a bit pricy but to be expected in such a great location.

Service was pretty good, servers avoid eye contact tho I found. Food was just ok (I had the vege pasta which was relatively bland and my friend had the poke bowl which was fine). Would come back for drinks but wouldn't rave about the food.

Good location in St Heliers Auckland, overlooking the sea. The drinks are a bit steep as well as food, but the quality is reasonable. What annoyed me was that the credit card commission was added onto the bill - a third world procedure.

Great local pub, a true St Heliers institution. Great selection of beer and wine, including seasonal guest beers. Excellent pub food far beyond standard fare. Fish & chips never disappoint, very good burgers, steak and calamari. Very friendly young staff, always get attentive even at busy times, which is quite often. The place is well lived by locals and staff are nice enough to recognise and acknowledge local residents making you feel very welcome. There is live music during weekends. It does get very busy around 6 pm most weekdays and most times during weekends but it's worth the wait for a table. There is always plenty of space to have a stand up drink. The pub also has a weekly fun run. Is for all ages and starts at 6pm to Kohi or Mission Bay fielding on your ability. Small fee but with post run drink and t-shirt. One of my favourites

I don't usually write reviews but, I went to Moreton's Restaurant last nite with my wife. Shared the seafood platter, some beer and wine. The service, value and whole experience was brilliant, and that seafood platter was a 9.5. Well done , we will be back.

Buzzing on a random Tuesday night, but good service and pretty good food. I had the Israeli cous cous and roast vegetables salad with feta, with the kangaroo kebab as a side; my friend had the special seafood hot pot (which wasn't much of a hot pot, but tasty). And to top it off, free dessert! My sticky date pudding was yummy, and my friend's cheesecake was pretty decent too. Would definitely go again.

Unfortunately this seemed to bear out as she delivered a musky pint in her teeth and we found hair floating in the top. The highlight was taking selfie with Kim Dotcom. He was wearing a disguise but it was totally him. I asked him how he liked the food and he said regularly. Anyway I will come back. In fact I have to organize the AA christmas party and Moretons fits the bill.
