To accompany a very exciting and fresh menu, the service and actual food itself was fantastic. Staff were very very accommodating, went above and beyond. Super fun and friendly and yet satisfyingly professional. Food came out a little slow, but it was a busy night and the pacing didn’t impact the experience overall. Definitely recommend for an intimate special occasion.

We went for the Sunday Long Lunch. It was amazing. It was a set menu that is different to their regular menu because on Sunday the chef's try new things so the menu is a mix of favorites and experimental pieces. It was 4 courses long with 6 different dishes. Highly recommend.

Me and my friend came here and chose the Chefs experience menu paired with wine. It was such a memorable experience and I have been spreading the good word about Mr Morris ever since. Friendly staff and 5 star service.

Divinity dished up... each mouthful is worth savouring. Any selection from the menu well not disappoint, there is passion behind the creation. The surrounds do not detract from the plate; subtle simplicity allowing for a pleasing ambiance. Yes, some of the wait staff could still use some additional training but none were unpleasant. Mildly frustrating is the lack of detail on the menu - providing only the main ingredients without the method. However, an appreciation for this grows once you place some trust in the creator. Not easy on a first visit, but try to roll with it. Easy decision to return and thankful Mr Morris has arrived to add to the Auckland landscape.

Fantastic new addition to Britomart! Michael Meredith can do no wrong! We came on Sunday for their long set lunch which was made up of a glass of bubbles, snacks, entree, main and dessert for $75. The kitchen is very accommodating and swapped out our steak for fish. Service was attentive and friendly and the food is delicious! Highly recommend!

Had the "kitchen experience" which meant sitting at the kitchen bar watching chefs. Great atmosphere and experience. Great service, food was simple and elegant with flavours to match.

We love dining at Mr Morris and watching Michael and his team prepare such delicious and uniquely Aotearoa food. Michael exudes mana and it infects the entire restaurant. Love watching how the whole team work together and have an aura of calm competence. Definitely our go to for a treat in Auckland at the moment.

Awesome experience. Really nice flavourful dishes with wonderful service from floor staff. Open kitchen experience makes awesome as well. Would consider requesting for open kitchen side table next time.

Food was great, stand out was the beef tongue starter and the beef main and all the proteins in general were cooked to perfection and amazingly flavourful. The passionfruit sorbet that came with the Pani popo was incredible also. Service & wait staff were great and attentive however there was a 40 minute wait between starters and mains and it was a bit strange that noone mentioned anything.

I cannot fault anything from our Mr Morris experience. The food is absolutely amazing and came out very fast. There was nothing left on any of the plates. The service is 10/10. We will definitely go back.

My partner and I went for lunch on Saturday. Food was great, we especially enjoyed the Potato Bread and Chicken Skin, however the service was lacking. We had about 4 different people serve us, while other staff sort of walked around aimlessly. Drinks were ordered first, however did not arrive until after we had finished eating the entrees (despite asking 2 different staff members for them). If service was better, I would happily give a 4/5 star review.

Exceptional! I celebrated a friend's birthday on 30 July for lunch. A handwritten birthday card on the table was a nice touch. Food and service was excellent. GF was not an issue as most of the menu was GF. Food was delicious and waitress was faultless. Highly recommend, we had a wonderful experience!

A little hit and miss. The Sunday lunch service is great in design - four courses plus a glass of champagne for a reasonable $75 dollars, with the additional excitement of not knowing what you'll be getting til it turns up - but is a little lacking in execution. First two courses were great - a selection of breads and savoury pastries and a lovely light fish crudo. After this the menu lost its way slightly. A deboned roast chicken was delicious, but had a series of confusing, unbalanced sides. The lemon pasta was great but clashed with the gravy, and the rice gnocchi and squash gratin were odd (and tasteless). The final course - a play on chocolate orange - was a series of things that didn't belong on a plate together. The saving grace was the bitter orange sorbet. All that said, service was excellent, the wait staff bring really helpful, knowledgeable and the right side of attentive. And the wine list per glass was varied and contained no duds (at least not what we sampled). Would go back and hope that they have ironed out some of the mismatched and random elements.

Food is lovely and the cocktails are very good. However…. it’s really, really expensive and the service is spotty. Despite having a nice meal I wouldn’t return here (even for a special occasion) as I don’t think the experience warrants the price tag.

We where expecting great things but sadly left very underwhelmed. The flavour balance on all mains was drastically off. We ordered Pork, chicken, lamb and sirloin. Not one of us enjoyed any of it. Highlight was the chicken skin and parfait.Service was below average, started off ok but got progressively worse during the evening. We where made to feel we had done something wrong to upset the waiter???It was an expensive letdown. Sorry but my 3 stars are me being generous.

Stunningly gorgeous food with immaculate service! Would give them more stars if I could. The entire menu looked delicious, to the point I couldn't decide. Ultimately went for the Kitchen Experience where the chef chooses your menu - 1 snack, 2 entrees, 1 main, and 1 dessert. Also lashed out for the wine matching, and this combined for the best restaurant experience I've had since a substantially long time ago. Everything was flavoursome, the wines matched beautifully, the table service immaculate, just perfect. It's not cheap, but I couldn't care less, as I'm happy to pay for such a perfect culinary experience!

I could happily eat here every day. The octopus and beef were my favourites as were all three desserts - yes, I tried them all 🙂 Only suggestion, can the male servers smile a little more? Sometimes cool and moody just comes over as grumpy and miserable. The female servers totally rocked and went over and above, hence the 5 stars

We celebrated our wedding anniversary with the Sunday long lunch. The anniversary card (personally signed by each of the staff working that day) was a neat welcoming touch. We sat at the kitchen counter - a choice we're glad we made. Fascinating watching the chefs at work and engaging with them throughout. The food is all to die for, but for us it was the service that made the day so memorable. Every single staff member was attentive, friendly and helpful and we loved their enthusiasm! An amazing dining experience. Thanks and well done Michael Meredith!

Incredible food. Sophisticated but unpretentious. We came for lunch. Ordered king fish entree, chicken with rice gnocchi, gem lettuce and cauliflower. Wine list beautiful. Everything 10/10

An excellent addition to the Auckland dining scene. Interesting and thoroughly enjoyable menu. Smaller wine list but a great selection both by glass and bottle. The service was excellent, knowledgeable and professional. Overall impression was these people love great dining and that shows in the whole experience. We are looking forward to going again.

This is a hard one to review. Though the food was good, the whole dining experience was well below par considering this is a fine dining restaurant. Unfortunately the service was really bad and ruined our dining experience. The waitress was the culprit but the management was equally guilty for not providing proper training to the staff. To make it easier for reading, I will summarise my experience in bullet points. By the way, there were six of us dining that night. - Specials of the day was explained to us while one of us was away from the table (gone to the toilet). - Didn't take our drinks order until just before our entrees were served. - Cutleries weren't ready when entrees were served. - Didn't ask or explain to us how the steak will be cooked and unfortunately they came out too cooked for our liking. Apparently we can request for them to be cooked a certain way but wasn't made aware to us. When pointed out to the waitress, she agreed that the steak was overcooked but did nothing. We insisted that she informs the manager who then made up for the mistake. - Messed up our order and two of our mains came in one plate. The waitress gave us a spare plate and told us to divide up the food between us. We suggested that she take the food back to the kitchen to get it divided instead. This is the first time ever that we were told to divide up the food ourselves from a mistake they have made, in a fine dining restaurant if I may add! - Missed putting in one of our orders so one of us had to wait for the main while the others are eating theirs. We were really looking forward to an enjoyable dining experience as we have heard so many good things about this restaurant. It was a shame that it was completely ruined by the bad service we have received. I would like to think that this is a case of 'one bad apple'.

Very pleasant experience here. The best lamb I have eaten in a long long time! No nonsense, beautifully present and elegance everywhere. Thank you Mr Merideth you and your team should be proud. The fitout is sophisticated and comfortable. We were served by a lovely and well informed waitress. I enjoyed her enthusiasm for the menu. My paua, ocra, corn and gnocchi was full of flavour. I like their idea of individual bite sized starters. Portions are not too big, which I like.
