I have been to a few dessert places in the past already. I think the waffles here are the best of them all. We had the berry and the s'more waffles. The waffles are crispy and the s'more that I had was fluffy and was really good. However I think their drinks are below average compare to other places like house of chocolate. I had the 70% dark chocolate but it just doesnt feel right. The gimmicky aspect was nice but I think it is lacking in flavour. My partner's ice cream mocha was better but just average. Overall will try other waffles flavour but probably opt for just a plain coffee instead.

Stopped by for a post lunch sugar pick me up. Went into the restaurant and sat in the bench by the ice cream counter. After being given menus they took our orders when we were ready. Their special desserts were only available after 3pm so ended up going with the chocolate waffles. The cabinet cakes also looked tasty. Everything was looked nice and tasted good. I wasn't really a fan of the waffles since they were a bit tart (presumably buttermilk waffle). The waffles were nice and crispy and the topping were decadent. Nice range of sweets for those with a sweet tooth.

A Simply delightful place and just utterly delicious selections of desserts. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Desserts were mouth-watering and there’s really nothing to criticise. Will be coming back for more!

Amazing waffles, fast service! All waffles come with toppings, sauce, ice cream and an amazing cream that they make there. You won't be disappointed no matter what kind of waffle you pick, they choose ingredients that go so well together. We go there every month or so. Favourite place for dessert.

Also, who said Cookies and Cream cake has to be only for kids these days... I have fallen in love with it again after trying it at Oko - it has the creaminess, the crunch and is ultra-moist. Why choose between cookies and cake when you can enjoy BOTH together??!! 👏👏

That chocolate loaded Belgian waffle was amazing and soooo sweet aka perfect. Got some reasonably priced wine to go with it and sit outside. Would go back. EDIT: we finally did go back 😄. Amazing ice cream cones and even Bailey's cocktails this time!

Visually creative desserts. Blueberry cheesecake tart - I was hoping to taste cheese or blueberry but neither was forthcoming. Loved the interior however I didn't like that it opened into the entertainment center at the rear of the restaurant.

Wide variety of really nice looking desserts. I ordered the cookies & cream brownie, which tasted nice but the cream wasn't 100% fresh and the brownie base was a bit dry, and for the price I expected better. Also not sweet enough for me.

The best waffles ever! Fluffy and crispy. Lemon curd berry waffle with panacotta ice cream was top notch. Would be nice to have a larger portion of ice team to go with the waffle. Will be back for more!

Love this place for desserts! The waffles are delicious and great to share, but I suppose it could be too sweet for some? I enjoyed it very much though.

Their strawberry Dutch waffles are prime and their valentines desserts were wonderful ❤️ whenever you're craving waffles come here! It's the best.

Ice-cream is delicious every time I come, although they flavours are a little bland, despite original-sounding flavours like creme brulee and tiramisu. Expensive ($10 for an ice-cream) but very large. Their little desserts are decent, although nothing really stands out here.

Great place with yummy desserts! The outdoor area is bigger than I expected and it's covered so good for rainy days! They sell coffees at this place too which is great. They do bookings but they charge a minimum cost per person if it's a large group but you might be able to just show up and be fine!

Great location. Good selection of creative cakes with very good presentation. Also offers a number of gourmet ice cream from movenpeak. But I wasn't impressed with how staff handled the transfer of cakes from the kitchen to the display window, not good hygiene.

Love OKO, beautifully made deserts that taste great, customer service is great too. I usually go to get their Belgian waffles and a nice Mocha.

The coffee is exquisite as well as the dessert. The croissants are buttery and the tiramisu is very close to the traditional Italian tiramisu I love (Marsala wine is used).

A sinful place, bad for the diet... but I left happy and elated. Dessert options are plenty and they sell customised Movenpick ice creams!!

The waffles here are to die for. The prices for their desserts are steep, but thats only because you are paying for top quality. I would highly recommend coming here for a nice dessert to share after you had a dinner in the city.

We love going to Oko for a dessert, while service is ok, the desserts are very good. Also, we'd love to have a better seating outside and inside.

A milsé wannabe by Mövenpick ice cream. The dessert looks great but the taste is a let down. Quite pricey which I think mostly goes to pay for the time to do the plating. The positive side is this place is not as busy as milsé, so you don't have to wait for hours to enjoy your dessert.

We got the crunchy dessert & green tea with coconut - totally delicious! Great desserts, a nice location & open late - I will definitely be coming back!

Had a yummy chai latte and lemon meringue pie. Only 4 stars because the biscuit base was SO HARD, impossible to eat with a spoon/fork and had to use my hands to pick it up and eat. Wouldn't really mind but had brought my nana here and I'm not sure how she felt about having to eat with her hands and get so messy!

I visited yesterday and it seemed like they were short on staff, which is unfortunate as there were a lot of customers and a long wait. Overall, the chestnut hot chocolate was okay, and the Belgian waffles were served cold. I think the waitress walked passed us twice without realising our order. Experience was very average.

Really cool venue. The hot chocolates are very unique/extravagant but don't actually taste that good in my opinion. The desserts in the counter display are amazing! The ones i had tasted better than they looked. It's a great place for a date, if the other person isn't concerned about their weight!

Was just looking for a coffee to finish an evening and was pleasantly surprised! Huge range of choices from menu, cabinet(s!) and ice cream. Beautiful thoughtful presentation and yummy flavours. Reasonable price for the standard and location. Service was friendly, they were pretty busy for a Wednesday night! Only negative is one side opens to the grotty food court/concrete parking hallways. The interior of the restaurant is pretty stylish and nice if you overlook that end. Would def recommend and go back.

One of my favorite places in city to enjoy a delicious coffee accompanied by an amazing Belgian waffle. I will absolutely recommend it. Everything is so delicious, cakes, waffles, ice cream and of course, the coffee.

Good place to grab an espresso and chill for a couple of minutes. The coffee is quite consistent when it comes to a good espresso shot. I personally enjoy a creamy layer on the surface combined with a strong and rich flavor and they always manage to get that on spot. Fast service, friendly staff and tables are always clean. Definitely one of my places to grab a coffee after a hard working day.

Tiramisu tastes superb and coffee is good. I highly recommend this place.

Average deserts. Didn't have a chance to try their coffee, once we had to cancel our drink order, cause they said it's too busy and may take 20 mins to make a coffee. The other time, we waited for a good 5 minutes and no one even asked if we needed to order! Only one person working there who's responsible for taking orders and making coffee etc.

Afton has amazing customer service. So kind and helped me and my friends with our desserts. Desserts are bomb!

Just passing by and thought, why not treat ourselves. It was the 19th of Nov and there was a protest about to start from Aotea Square. I wondered in with my little family and was greeted with genuine smiles and questions of assistance. I believe excellent service can be 60% of the experience so it started off with a bang. We ordered the Belgium waffles and being virgins to the experience we were delightfully pleased with the taste and layout of the dessert. My 2 year old daughter was being a 2 year old and was constantly playing with the reservation holders on the shelf but the staff saw no issue with it and actually conversed with her, it made us feel very welcome. Lovely, helpful and professional, I couldn't have asked for better service. We will visit again soon and will be delighted if the same staff that served us are there. 12 out of 10 rating.

Crazy yum dessert options though on the pricey side, with Movenpick ice cream sold here too. Ample indoor and outdoor seating space available as well.

Had Creme Brulee and Belgium Waffle with coffee. Quality of the desserts were simply below my expectations considering the price they do charge for them.

Bought a Christmas choc cake for $80 plus. Taste like $20 cake from Paknsave. Extremely overpriced. Very disappointed. Will never come back for cakes. But will come back for drinks as they make very nice drink.

Move pick icecream, but the most special part of this desert place is the cone - not too sweet, perfect counterpoint to the icecream. Also nice with chocolate and nuts too! And the creme brulee is excellent too.

Wonderful little place to get dessert or indulge in a treat. They have a cabinet of gourmet desserts, Movenpick ice cream that you can by by the scoop in a cone or little tub, as well as a few delicious pastry items and a plentiful drinks menu. My favourite thing to get here is their hot chocolate which comes with a little jug of melted chocolate, a jug of heated milk and a mug and spoon to mix it yourself, this is delicious and well worth the extra steps

Hard to find initially - totally worth it! Cakes are about $8 and desserts $17 made by the chef on site. Delicious! Totally worth it - their hot chocolate is to die for and a huge serving for $5.50, if you don't like cake, it's even worth it for that! Open until late, was delicious and would go again if you fancied a cheeky dessert!

Wide selection of desserts, waffles are pretty good, though served on slate without spoons. Desserts look better than they taste, however.

Well organised and nicely maintained Spacious but limited seating. Cosy ambiance and comfortable atmosphere. Service is well-timed and cordial. Friendly and helpful staff. Plentiful food options although there is only one option available for vegans among desserts other than couple of sorbet ice-cream flavours. Desserts are delicious. Table service. Offers takeaways. Good for groups, family, kids and catch-ups. Reservation cannot be made in advance. Good for quick visits. Outdoor seating is available. Could not notice wheelchair accessible seating or high chair in plain view at this location. Good place for quick bite. There is no dedicated parking area available although ample paid parking spaces can be found around. Entrance is wheelchair accessible. PayWave facility is available at this location.

Lovely cakes. Bit on the pricey side. Customer service was great! If certain ice creams weren't available theyd tell you straight away! The place was clean inide and atmosphere inviting.

We went to Oko on a cold Saturday night - the service overall was ok - I went for the tiramisu which was pretty good, had originally ordered the white hot chocolate but was told it may be too sweet for my liking so had the regular hot chocolate instead. At the end of the day, it was nice but probably not at the top of my list for a evening desert fix.

Lacks ambience but that doesn't take away from the deliciousness of their waffles and thicc shakes 🤩

Super fancy desserts live here and they aren't too badly priced but if you get more than one then you've killed your wallet you murder, and with drinks. Fagetaboudit. But it's super good food so pop in for a less than $10 cabinet treat on ya way home from work ya dig? Almondmealfoam/10

Great choice of ice creams and amazing looking desserts! Staff friendly limited seating inside, plenty outside. A bit pricey, but ice cream quality was great - my 5yr was very happy ;-)

Lovely experience and was so yummy!

All in all a good dessert bar. They have a wide range and serve Allpress coffee too. It's a good option after a quick meal in the food court below or a drink next door. Try after a good round of bowling at Metrolanes.

Desert is really good. The cofee is not super also the location isn't super. They have an entrance on the cinema and entertainment complex which is making the whole place busy and noisy.

(Translated) I who wanted a waffle but who does not like excess sugar, I could ask (out of their card that is too much for my taste) a simple waffle with chocolate sauce (for $ 12.50 anyway ). The waffle was made minute (hot and crisp) and the sauce had the real taste of melted chocolate (not a foul industrial sauce). The price is a bit high but I'm happy with my experience :) (Original) Moi qui avais envie d'une gaufre mais qui n'aime pas l'excès de sucre, j'ai pu demander (hors de leur carte qui est too much à mon goût) une simple gaufre avec sauce chocolat (pour 12.50$ quand même). La gaufre a été faite minute (chaude et croustillante) et la sauce avait le vrai goût de chocolat fondu (pas une sauce industrielle infecte). Le prix est un peu élevé mais je suis contente de mon expérience :)
