Reviews of Oyster and Chop
I.
Service was great , food was delicious , views to waterfront are top spec, the 1 star missing is for garden salad had not been with cherry tomatoes and other variety and was only with lettuce and seasoning

Amazing experience! I'm a DM in a restaurant myself so I really notice good service and great food. My partner treated himself a surf and turf with a beautiful half cray fish, and a scotch filet. The Crayfish especially was dreamy, so soft and buttery.
I'm Vegetarian, although there's not a lot of options, the entree I took with a bunch of side was plenty of delicious food for myself.
The staff was good, especially our waiter who had just the right words to meal check us without interrupting.
Wine list was sufficient with a good selection by the glass, although more cab/merlot blend could be added 'by the glass' 😉
I'm wondering now why we haven't been here earlier...
Go for it. Great restaurant, wonderful evening

We ate here last week Friday
And ordered a huge selection of foods,
Everything was good, however
The sides they do are the bomb !
Creamed spinach 10/10
Creamy Mashed potatoes 10/10
Mac n cheese 9/10
Brocollini 8/10
Yum yum yum
Mains were also good,
We ordered a sirloin steak I believe
Chicken something
Gnocchi
Fish & chips
All good,but not wow.
The steak had a lot of chewy fat, but we will be back
Thanks guys

Great service friendly waitress, and food and drinks came quickly. Oysters were great. Come here and enjoy

Went for the 4-6pm happy hour.
Ordered a dozen raw oysters for $2 each. And two happy hour cocktails.
Everything tasted good. Ambience was amazing, right by the water. Oysters were buttery and flavoured nicely. Drinks were also good.
Would come again!!

Just called in for a quick drink and oysters.
Service was excellent and would definitely come back again for dinner at some point.

Enjoyable lunch overlooking boats. The doors were all open so beautiful sea air coming in. Most dishes are roughly $30-$50 but are filling. Waiters pay attention and know who orders what drinks and water cups are constantly refilled.

Went to oyster and chop for lunch, amazing food, we had oysters to start and shared the meat board for two. We enjoyed our experience here and will be back again for the seafood platter 💕

Always a great place for oyster and chop. The tomahawk steak here is absolutely amazing with 2 side dishes. I'd usually go for their mash (love the creaminess). They also have oysters sourced from different parts of NZ. My go-to has always been Te Kouma (well balanced of sweetness, saltiness and texture) and if they don't have it, I'd go for Te Matuku or Clevedon Coast.
