P.The place has good food, and good service. However, it is not kid friendly
It doesn't have high chairs to offer. A little let down. I can see other reviews regarding the place not being children friendly and wish I checked that before coming tonight as it becomes a little awkward. Would have appreciated being told that when our mate rang to book a table as well. We wouldn't mind and would have gone else where as there were 9 adults and 5 kids - which was specified over the phone.
Nonetheless - I would have given the place a 4 star.

P.Dined in with a fairly large group of 14 including kids and we were well looked after, the owner was accomodating and even offered to take care of the baby in the pram for a bit 😊. The entrées were really good with the Satay chicken being the highlight and also loved the drunken chicken noodles in the mains.
B.I haven't been to any Thailand restaurants for many years. Pla Thong restaurant was pretty decent one.
BBQ children starter was brilliant. Coconut soup was fantastic.
The special fish was so so, which was too dry and not very tasty.

A.At First glance you would think you have been invited into someone dinning room given the size of the place. You are not wrong, that is the case as the food taste exactly like you have would eat at someone's home in Thailand. Authentic tasting Thai food with good option for vegetarians and meat eaters. When you look at the price you might think that you could get something similar at local Thai restaurant for half the price however once you eat the food you will for sure think it was worth the price. Must try any of their Fried fish, tried most things on the menu and they all hit the spot. if it wasn't for my mortgage I would come every night :)
E.A hidden gem in Mt.Eden. The food and service were fantastic. The decor was old-school cool, and the music added to a relaxing ambience. Can't wait to go back! A+

M.This the Kao Na Ped (Duck Fried Rice). It was delicious! The food, music, atmosphere and service was amazing. Kind staff with beautiful attire. Really recommend to anyone keen to explore Thai cuisine near Mount Eden. But also worth the travel if you're keen to drive from far away.

j.We had booked a table for 8 on the 29th July and were warmly welcomed.... Entrees Were amazing and the every dish was well presented with food taste second to none in Auckland... Staff members were impeccably dressed in Thai Costume, very comfortable Sitting Chairs... Even their Washroom was super clean.... The manager Win & staff were attentive and had fantastic service & amazing food.... Highly recommended. Well Presented restaurant certainly a tribute to its Owners.... Regards Jack Braganza

A.Food was good but I didn't what I ordered. I ordered Panama tofu curry, and a red tofu curry BUT instead we for 2 Red tofu curries. They were busy and they had forgotten my order is what it seemed like. When I went to pick up, the lady seemed confused about my order then came to tell me they were running late.
It was 8.15pm before I got my order and only realised we didn't get eh hat we wanted to we got home.

Lovely dining experience, the food is exceptional. Staff are fabulous and always look lovely in their traditional dress. All 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal on Sunday.
We also use the takeaway service, it is a fabulous menu, it tastes as great as eating in.

Every time i visit Auckland i make a point of stopping here for my takeaways. I love the flavour of the food and its the same every time.
Good size portions at a reasonable price. You cant go wrong on the quality or the flavour of the food.
I love the fact that the staff wear traditional clothing which adds to the authentic thai experience.
I hope they keep up their high standards

S.We have been to the PlaThong a view times before and have never been disappointed. Last night a we dined in with a group of six, I had the best curry I have ever had, the sauce was simply to die for. Please keep the chef's recipe as my goodness it is a winner, so what did I order, The panang curry nr 23 on the eat in menu and number 19 on the take away menu, the chef made it with fish for me.., Superb absolutely superb
A.Lovely place to enjoy an evening and a meal. Staff are attentive, courteous AND efficient. Food is consistently good, well presented and good value. We like this place and eat here often, including the takeaways which are exactly consistent with restaurant servings, quick too.
L.We go often and the food is always good, and the staff and manager are friendly and accommodating. The tom yum is one of our favourites in Auckland - fresh and flavourful and they don't skimp on the seafood they put in it. We haven't had a dish that wasn't delicious and are still trying to work our way through the menu.

H.Fabulous meal. The curry puffs and satay chicken skewers are to die for. Then there's the best massaman curry we've ever had - I think we are already in heaven!
G.Overpriced and under delivered. $25 for basic curry/stir fry up to $32 for most mains including a whole snapper or a lamb rack. We tried two of the $32 chef specials and the lamb rack was tiny slim 4 pieces of meat on a bed of unseasoned cabbage, brocolli and lettuce. All filler and left very hungry. Partner got the chef special duck which was as average as any other Thai duck stir fry. Drinks menu also too expensive for us to consider anything. Maybe for an older demographic that needs the upscale setting and is happy to pay the premium

S.The food was the BEST I would eat there everyday but my parents say no sorry the entree's were the best i have ever had. The best entree were the fish cakes and the money bags. The service was brilliant and the food didn’t take long. The mains were also brilliant the beef masaman was soft and easy to eat and the taste was great.

G.We love Pla Thong - it has wonderful food and staff. We often get takeaways (love the pad thai, sweet tempura prawn stir fry and all the curries) but also love the atmosphere inside the restaurant for dining. Great vegetarian options too. A local favourite!

J.The best Thai meal I've had in years. Ordered Ped Lui Fire: roasted duck stir fried with garlic, market vegetables and home'made chilli oyster sauce wrapped in flaming foil. It was perfect. So many flavours zinging around with every mouthful. And a surprisingly generous serving. The place, too, is lovely and the staff delightful. Highly recommended.

H.I've ordered for delivery and ordered for pick up from Pla Thong and I haven't been disappointed yet. Their restaurant is nice as well, I just haven't had a chance to eat in. This is like My Eden's hidden gem, their local Thai star. Food and staff are great.

E.Easily one of the best thai restaurants around - food is always exceptionally consistent, amazingly presented and utterly delicious. The roast duck red curry is my recommendation here - deep flavors with a rich, velvety sauce, super fresh veggies - laced with lychees and grapes for a sweet kick here and there....all the "standard" thai curries here are absolutely top notch tho...with a deserving mention to the snapper fillets in sweet and spicy sauce as another go to!! *TWO THUMBS UP*
