Ponsonby Central is fantastic. Great selection of food and shopping. My personal favourite is Burger Burger. Excited to see the result of the rennovations currently happening. Recently added a multi level parking garage with 30 mins free parking which is a huge plus, used to be such a pain to find a park.

I read in the Urban list that this place is one of the top ten best fried chicken in town. So I have to check it out and true to the ads. It is really crunchy and juicy in the inside. Perfect KFC- Korean Fried Chicken. We tried three flavours: spicy & sweet, sweet soy & og chicken (original). You might like too to try their version of garlic bread, I quite enjoyed it its not buttery but more on garlic cream. Located inside the Ponsonby Central. The food area is quite small but there were seats available when we came @7pm.

Ponsonby Central is unexpectedly good. I'll return here! The fantastic Duct Tape is sited here is every bit as awesome the superb food outlets. I reckon that this is possibly one of the most engaging visitor destination venues in all of Ponsonby Road. More relaxed than the many restaurants and because of this informality Ponsonby Central is a way more spontaneous fun place to go to. Totally recommended for it's warm welcome and personal service. Come here for some of the best salads in Auckland. Look at the photos! Bring in your Digital needs, Duct Tape is one of the suburbs best businesses.

Tried Lalele Organic icecream today. Raspberry Coconut & Rosemary Cocolato - no taste of rosemary, raspberry is a decoration, 0.05%. Not worth, overpriced, kids portion is very small. Popolato comes inside a paper cup. Tried Salted Caramel and Chololate. Delicious taste.

This is a great space. It sometimes feels a bit painfully hip but the restaurants and bars are first class. Burger Burger and Bird on a Wire are my personal favourites. It's always busy and has a great atmosphere. A must visit for tourists and locals alike.

Venture further inside past the front shop, is a whole network of different variety of ethnic shops n bars, where the magic is. The front shop is pretty standard where we were. Next visit I will try out ones that resonates with me. Very inviting environment.

The staff are very warm and friendly and provided excellent service. I wasn't expecting my boom boom chicken to be served cold. But it was delicious with hot rice. So good. My friends all enjoyed their lunches. Cocktails could be a little stronger 😏

Ponsonby Central is an awesome collection of restaurants from Italian to Ramen. One night I couldn’t find anywhere I wanted to eat down by the viaduct so I headed up to Ponsonby and was spoiled for choice. The ramen place is really good.

Sometimes when you go to malls that have dining halls you'll nearly always see the same eateries. This is a must on your food list...there is a variety of Argentine, Japanese, Italian restaurants that you have to try. Lunch or Dinner the food is outstanding...this is must do on your dining list.

This is an awesome spot to get together with friends. There is a predominately young crowd dining and chatting. There is a myriad of options. We went to Dante’s Firewood Pizzeria, where a delicious pizza was served. Staff is extremely friendly too.

My favorite spot for French crepes, fresh juice or breakfast. The produce is very fresh and organic, but it's really expensive so not everyone will find this place attractive. There are lots of places here though, you can come in the afternoon or evening for lunch or dinner, it's got a cool vibe.

Ponsonby central has a good range of food places and a decent atmosphere, though at times it can feel overly pretentious for what it is. I mostly go there to grab takeaway sandwiches from Bird on a Wire (best sandwiches in Auckland) or pop in to get some gorgeous cheese and bread if I'm headed up north. The pizza place is pretty great too.

Can you ban smoking around the cafes and restaurants? It's so gross trying to enjoy a cup of tea or a meal in the courtyard while someone is smoking at the table next to you. We were in Kuala Lumpur recently and most restaurants/cafes had banned smoking at their outdoor seating, it was bliss.

Olas Arepas is located in the food court of Ponsonby Central. It's a small Venezuelan & Colombian kiosk with some interesting choices of arepas. You can choose the type of tortilla (classic, kale or beetroot) and the yummy fillings. It's all around $15 to $20 and really tasty!

Ponsonby is one of Auckland's "hipster" neighborhoods, with Ponsonby Central is literally in the middle of it, boasting a good variety of independent and unique eateries to fit every palate, most of which are affordable. The atmosphere is lively, friendly and casual, even on a Monday afternoon. We ended up eating at a Miss Istanbul, a family run Turkish joint serving flavorful foods. If you like exploring "neighborhoods" on your travels, not just sites, this is a great place to start in Auckland.
