Food is amazing! It’s a bit of drive for us but we’ll worth it! Service takes a while as they don’t have a lot of staff and takes a while. Apart from that the Naan is so crispy and the meat platters and shahi paneer are so good!

Absolutely amazing. One of the best curries I’ve had since leaving the UK 6 years ago now living in Aus and NZ. Pretty plates serving beautifully tasty and well portioned food. Naans FULL of flavour and so yummy. Even the side dips; pickle and chutney were so good. I will always come here for my Indian now. I definitely recommend eating in here , you won’t be disappointed ☺️

My review is purely for the Trainee Kiwi lady out there ( forgot her name) Her service was amazing, she was very active and handling the whole floor by herself. She was soft spoken and had a smile on her face at all times thou she was under the bus due busy Saturday Eve. I found a need to have an extra staff to give her hands. I visited Rajas the 4th time. This time food and mocktails were okay( not enjoyed) however starters were delicious. Manager Taranjit was also nice. One thing I have noticed this time is that food's taste and quality wasn't that good as it used to be . Management may need to take this honest feedback into the consideration.

Went with my family for Dinner on Sunday. We ordered Malai Kofta, Veg Manchurian and Lamb Rahra in mains with Butter Naan and Amritsari kulfi in desserts. The food was absolutely delicious and well prepared .I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal.It was a great experience. The ambiance and service we received was very welcoming and charming and I would like to come back here again. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Botany Auckland. I recommend it to everyone !

There has been a change in either management or ownership at Rajas over the past few months/past year or so. Gone are the friendly warm greetings and oozing service from TJ et al however the food remains largely on point. My last lot of takeaway was excellent, but the prior one about 2mths ago wasn’t the best. I haven’t dined in here in some time - and not since the leadership changes, but the restaurant needs a decor refresh and an injection of energy, and clarity of image, intent and vision. Otherwise though, I still won’t get takeaway Indian elsewhere, surprisingly the other offers in East auckland aren’t life changing - in fact they’re pretty darn average. Paradise is probably the only Indian offer Auckland that tops Rajas for intense flavour and flair in dishes.

Food and service were exceptionally gucci. It’s that kind of spicy that slowly builds until you look across the table to see the spiritual aura of your partner gyrating ceaselessly closer towards the abyss. Watch out for their is corkage fee. Things to order: that chicken Tikka masala. That rice in a little bowl. The chilli and cheesy stuff.

Loved the meat platters, lassi and paratas. The chicken Briyani didn't meet our expectation, so the manager charged only half price. Not a very spacious place so had to sit close to the other tables and it was so loud. If you are looking for a quite and relaxing place then this might not be an ideal choice.

Twice I have now been to Raja's, first for a surprise birthday and second time because we absolutely loved the food, hospitality and friendly service from both FOH and kitchen staff. Especially because we would phone in late to see if we could book in seats before they could close and the staff were lovely to allow us to come in still. Raja's - you guys are wonderful, and love is seen in the service you provide as well as your yummy food! 🥰 Thank you - can't wait to come back!

This place was fantastic! The ambiance was fun and light. The food was phenomenal, we has the Chicken Vindaloo, Fish Malabari, and Butter Prawn. They were all so delicious! Nothing was amiss with the flavours or the spice. I definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic restaurant! Reasonably priced I'd say and delicious food with good portions. Beyond the food, the service was impeccable! The wait staff was friendly and wouldn't be gone for a while, nicely checking in on you, refilling you water, and asking if you need any more complimentary rice or anything else. Overall, I was genuinely pleased by my experience here, the food is truly wonderful, the wait staff was attentive and immensely friendly with you (asking not just the table but you specifically how you like your meal), and even got a visit by who I could only believe was either a manager or owner. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this establishment to everyone I know!

Probably the best curry I've tasted in a long time. Fresh ingredients with great flavour. Portions were perfect size- not too huge or overfilling, but I didn't feel cheated for the price. Excellent service from attentive staff.

This is currently one of the best Indian restaurants to visit in Auckland. The customer service is great and the food is absolutely delicious! My personal favourites are chicken biryani, dal makhani and chicken saagwala! The breads are also well cooked and tasty; the best one being chilli cheese naan! The good thing is you can also make a booking to reserve a table in advance! This is a great idea on the weekends when the restaurant seems to be completely full! The reputation of this restaurant was completely tarnished by the previous owners and it took blood, sweat and tears by the current owners to turn this around and they have done a magnificent job! Initially my friends and I were reluctant to visit this place again after almost 8 years due to the previous less than satisfactory experience we had… however once we did we have been visiting over and over again and even taking takeaways on weekdays! Well Done Rajas… you have done the impossible!!

As a couple with sigificant hospitality experience we loved this restaurant. Beautiful food with excellent portion size, quality ingredients and exquisite authentic recipes. Have dined in a couple of times here - yummiest food! Butter paneer and Malay kofta are my favourites. Host Anu and Chef Viki are so accommodating and welcoming, well worth your time and money in my honest opinion.

Excellent food and customer service at the best price! I had reserved a table online on their website and it said that it went through. When we got there they said that it didn't go through and explained that there was a system error and immediately apologised that they didn't receive our booking. They kindly offered us free drinks as a result. Everyone was very polite and approachable. The food was rich and tasted very good. 10/10 would recommend to friends and family.

Food is average here. Its a bit on the pricier side. We had lamb sheik kebabs, Punjabi chicken curry with naan, and chicken fried rice. The sheik kebabs tasted mediocre. I have had better tasting kebabs in Auckland. Chicken fried rice had too much soy sauce in it. It was a bit too salty. The Punjabi chicken curry was good and is worth a try. The staff were polite and professional. The food could be better. Keen on trying other items on the menu.

Hands down the best Indian we've ever had. Slightly pricier than some places but well worth it, there are lots of closer Indian restaurants but we always travel the extra distance coz the quality is outstanding. The curries are top notch and we highly recommend the samosas!

I have been to raja's restaurant many times. It's one of my favourite Indian restaurants. I personally like malai kofta and i think raja's make the best malai kofta compared to any Indian restaurant in nz. The service is very good aswell. Overall dining experience has always been fabulous.

We were visiting for the first time, the guy (owner) was very good to begin with. He was certain of the indo-chinese food being very good and certainly we loved it. Most of the food was one of the best tasting Indian food in Auckland we have had, reminded me of some of the good old restaurants in Delhi. Me and my friends loved it, we are coming back again to try other items. Thanks once again.
