C.When the food comes out, you know you're going to be full and happy :) I really enjoy the pasta pesto and I'm very happy with the portion sizes. The cafe itself is also very fun and it's decorated with photographs of all the backpackers that have visited over the years.
The location is also very convenient, seeing as it is in the CBD, and very close to Commercial Bay and the train station. It's really easy to go over when you're craving pasta.
D.The best that Italian cuisine has to offer in a cozy wee restaurant. Absolutely delicious food. This was simply the best Italian I've had since I was in Italy pre-pandemic. Truly, you're home when you walk through the doors. See you next time!

Been a regular for years, and easily the best lasagna around, the flan is of course to die for.

G.I've begun to crave Italian pasta recently and in this city, it's definitely not a common site. Pizzas for sure, but tomato-based pastas you have to search for. Turns out, this tiny little shop has been right near my home all along and finally I had a free night to stop in and try it out. Figured I'd go with the most easy to compare dish, Pasta Bolognese. Al dente noodles which was fine. Quite watery in the bowl between the noodles and saucr, but all good and love the strong oregano aftertaste. Was a filling portion. The garlic bread is super flat, dense, and kind of hard; was hoping for something more fluffy in the middle and crusty on the outside. Prices are pretty high for these single dishes but not totally unreasonable. This truly is a tiny cafe run by only 2 people at a time.

I.Great place, the food is delicious, he place has great atmosphere and the ladies are such lovely people. Have been there.more than once and is always a different and pleasant experience. Also have ordered Uber Eats from Romani and food is always packed with care.
Definitely will keep coming back to enjoy their food and will recommend anyone to go!

J.Satisfied the first visit, puzzled the second time. Both times tried the all time classic, bolognese. Seemed watery a little but not a heck of a problem. The grated cheese, later melted and started sticking to the edge of the fork and made it uncomfortable to eat. The garlic bread that came alongside the pasta were alright the first time but poor the second time. Overall, it seems a bit pricey.

Today thanks to Mary I have gotten my Christmas meal by post, she with all her expertise packed and sent to South Island, Oamaru my delicious “Hallacas”.
S.True homemade pasta Italia style. If you are not familiar with what an Italian pizza tastes like you can rest assured that this tiny restaurant was awarded as one of the top 10 Italian pizza in Auckland.
If you like sweet stuff please do try their desserts, they are amazing. I recommend the tiramisu.
They sometimes have Latin plates special they have sancocho and empanadas chilenas.
The staff and owners are amazingly friendly and lovely.
