T.One of our favourite Indian Restaurant. We like the food here. They were delicious and the serving were reasonable. Prices were also reasonably. Friendly service and no problem with parking. This time we ordered Chicken Shezwan Friend Rice, Mango Chicken, Beef Bhuna and Garlic Naan. It was a satisfying lunch. If you are in the Kelston area and would like to have a taste of North Indian food, don't miss Royal Challenge Indian Restaurant.
R.We regularly enjoy getting take out from here, my partner doesn't usually like curry and can't do spice, but she loves the kiwi style butter chicken (mild), poppadoms, and garlic naan. I've been making my way through the selection of curries on offer and have never been disappointed. Friendly staff and overall a great experience!
D.Generally this is always a really good shop I love their buttered chicken. Tonight my partner got lamb korma we paid $18 for a main meal and in the whole container of sauce he got 4 pieces of lamb. He’s gunna stick to his goat curry next time. We feel the lamb korma was totally a waste of money
R.Good Indian restaurants, BYO therefore we went next door Liquor store to buy a wine. The lady and the young chap who servd us were polite and helpful. Interacted well, greeted with smile, friendly chat. They follow good health and safety protocol. Food was good not great. Tasty, requested level of spice on all dishes. Loved mango kulfi. Enjoyed dinner with my friend.
S.My friends and I rocked up 40 minutes before closing and they still welcomed us for dine-in. The garlic cheese naan from Royal Challenge is a must-order side, and my friends enjoyed the chicken65, shahi paneer, beef vindaloo and kiwi style butter chicken.
Rice comes included with the already affordable mains prices.
Friendly staff, fast service, and good food. I look forward to making this my regular!
S.We had the best time to celebrate my partner’s birthday with a gathering of 20 people. The Staff and the manager Samita made it an amazing experience for us and our friends. Superb food and authentic Indian style curries just the way we like. Thank you so much chef. Thank you team Royal Challenge for making it a memorable one.

a.The food was good, service was nice and I found that the curries are beautifully blended with Indian spices. Amritsari fish was good, chicken kohlapuri was great but palak paneer is something I won’t recommend.

G.BEST CHICKEN KORMA EVER!!!!
My partner and I have been here 3 times now and hands down the best Indian restaurant I have ever visited! I originally just wanted to takeaway and go home and watch Netflix but when we got into the restaurant, the smell was infatuating, then we were greeted by the most lovely lady called Samita who was unbelievably friendly, beautiful smile, very sociable and from that moment we decided we were dining in! Best decision! How the food was presented was beautiful served in small golden dishes with a rice bowl on the side and perfectly hot which we love! The portions were perfect we had enough left overs to take home and eat the next day! We are wanting to bring the family as it is incredible inside because the service is 10/10 perfect!!
Excited for the next time we can dine in!
Couldn’t rate this restaurant higher! It’s a must for dining in especially!! And recommend the chicken korma!!! :D

A.Very homely.
The cook works his magic in the kitchen and our favourite Aunty works her magic on the customers. She is considerate, warm, friendly and very hospitable. From the moment you walk in, you feel as if you are in your favourite North Indian restaurant in India.
The starters pack is pretty nice as you get to try a mix of starter dishes at once rather than having to order them separately. We got Samosa, onion bhaji, chicken tikka and since I don't eat lamb we swapped the lamb dish for some extra chicken tikka pieces.
I've been here a few times and the last time we tried Handi Chicken which was quite tasty. Would seriously recommend it.
There's BYO as well, so you can bring your wine along.
Honestly, one of my favorite Indian restaurant in west Auckland.
R.Had such great meals from here last night! Everything was delicious. We ordered online for delivery which was quite quick the only down fall was we ordered two cheese and garlic naan and two garlic naan and instead we were given two plain naan and 2 garlic naan, overall still great food! ☺️
A.Went for a birthday party. Food was alright, my cousins and I were debating over a dish because we couldn't figure out what it was. One of my cousins thought it was chicken, but I thought it smelt like fish. It was actually paneer, which was cut up in weird shapes. 😆 They were only half filling up the cups with juice, so we got annoyed and filled the cups ourselves.
K.Went for lunch today, had the most amazing samosas with a beautiful sauce and an Indian style butter chicken which I ordered mild, and which came out perfect the cheese and garlic naan bread was devine also, will definitely be visiting again.
D.We organised my mother's 60th birthday at the restaurant and it was such a pleasant experience. Even though we did not book out the whole restaurant, the owner was extremely helpful and accommodating throughout the process and on the night. Price was really economical and everyone enjoyed the food.
Will be using them again for big occassions.

The Chicken and Goat curry Mild, with the Bread basket of 3 breads to my choice would have been the tastiest meals that I have had in some time. Definitely worth the wait. Thank you Royal Challenge. Absolutely superb meal.

A.We stumbled across this place totally by chance when we had a glitch with online ordering for our dinner and we was so pleasantly suprized with quality and quantity of food that we have received. Husband couldn't stop raving about goat curry he got delivered and my dhal dish was unbelievable tasty. All those other little dipping sauces we got with fried onions dish and those bread types of dishes filled with potato and coriander ... so yummy. And chicken done in some redish coating with some beautiful herbs... wow! Absolutely amazing. If you are reading this review and thinking should you order from here or not ... if you don't try it you will regret it. Honestly amazing food in this place. Many thanks to the chef and all the hands that prepared and delivered our meal. Blessings. 🙏
S.Have been here a few times and every time I go they are always very friendly. Had asked for recommendations on vegetarian dishes and the lady behind the counter had definitely given me the best choice. Will be coming here more frequently as this is one of the best curries I’ve had.

The food was great, they have a kiwi style and Indian style. I really enjoyed the butter chicken much better than any of the other Indian take away places I've been to and far better quality than the shopping mall ones.

Everything was cooked to perfection - they don't skimp on the rice, the place was super clean and nice. Price is very reasonable for what you get. Will be coming here regularly for as long as I can.

S.Best curries for miles. Go for the Handi Meat/Indian Butter Chicken/Saagwala and Garlic Naan. Get a menu and put it on your fridge and order from it often because this place deserves to be busier than it is.
