H.We hosted a surprise 50th birthday at Ryders on Friday night for 40 people and from start to finish Clinton and his team were excellent to deal with. They run a slick and well oiled machine at Ryders. The venue was perfect for our event which started with a some speeches and presentations in the theatre followed by drinks and a sit down roast meal which was superbly cooked and the BYO option is very convenient. All the cleaning up was seen to and we were left to enjoy our evening with family and friends. I cannot recommend this hidden gem in Avondale enough. There is plenty of room inside and also a number of spaces to enjoy outside now that the weather is improving. Whether it is a family function like we had or a movie screening, Ryders would also work perfectly as a venue for a work do, Christmas function or small conference. Get in touch with the owner operator Clinton, he is super responsive and is an excellent host. Thanks Clinton and thanks Ryders. We will be back!

A.Beautifully cooked roast lunch matched by super friendly hosts. This venue is an eye opener. Great value for money given viewing a movie of your choice is included. Clint and his team have prepared this facility in such a way that it is almost a guarantee that any visit will not be your last. The Auckland Mustang Club are indebted to your hospitality.
A.Great lunch - especially the roast potatoes. What a super place to visit, can't say enough about the staff, so friendly and helpful they even went through the vacuum cleaner and found the earring that I had lost in the theatre. I doubt there are many places who would do that for you.
C.Went to Ryders Avondale today, with the East Coast Bays Friendship Club. The film “Green Fingers” was shown and was extremely enjoyable.
The roast dinner lunch afterwards was one of the best I have ever eaten in my 74 years.
I was fortunate to spend 3 months in the Cotswolds in 2019, and have experienced beautiful roast dinners at many lovely English country pubs.
The roast we had today at Ryders was very generous and cooked the old fashioned way with lard,on a coal range, Excellent value.
I would highly recommend this facility to you all. It is also family friendly.
Ryders has such amazing ambience and a visiting there is a great nostalgic trip back to Auckland’s yesteryear.
P.We had our leaving party at Ryders, it was perfect, exactly what we wanted: personal, unique, non-corporate, and very Kiwi - plus the best roasties in town (baked in the range in the restaurant). Clint and the team were so laid back and easy going, yet pulled out a great meal bang on schedule. Every single one of our friends had a fantastic time, and even the ones who thought they were going to have to dash off early could not resist staying on. The venue, meal, and food package is a great deal; and I have no hesitation in recommending it for any family or work do.

A.This is such a unique place to come to for dinner and a movie. The theatre is intimate and comfortable and the setting with the historic collection of old New Zealand items is great to wander around.
S.Fantastic venue, we had my husbands 40th at Ryders and everything ran smoothly, the food was delicious and hot, with pleanty of it. Love the boutique cinema. Clint was excellent to deal with and didn't mind all my questions. Highly recommended.

A.A really good place if you are looking for somewhere to fund raise for your group. They put on a lovely roast lunch cooked on a wood fire range. Then you go into the theater and watch a movie.
