P.Just want to give a heads up to those that would love to experience Sals pizza, be sure to be financially prepared on the chosen day okay.
Anyways, this place overall has such a magnificent ambiance, it's got such a relaxing vibe, staff is amazing, the menu is over whelming to begin with lmao, so many to select esp my first experience. I had chosen their "THE SALS NBL STEAL" which was half&half pepperoni and cheese. Allow the pizza to rest for 3-4 mins before taking first bite. First bite for me was heavenly. Best decision made to try it out.
Give it a go. If not sure what to grab, ask staff and they will guide you with their best selling pizza. Also 18 inch pizza is massive as well, grab a half if alone, I dined alongside with my partner which 18 inch was enough for him and I. We are big eaters, trust me, the size is massive than regular pizza hut/domino's pizzas.

L.I always wanted to try an authentic american style pizza in nz, i used to have them overseas when I was little, so today I bought one, I asked my kids how does it compared to their usual pizza, they all agreed that it has much more pepperoni and doesn't taste just like bread, so it's a thumbs-up from my little ones.
I'll have to say, you get what you pay for, if you rather buy 3 cheap pizzas made with cheap ingredients non authentic taste, that's fine, but for me I appreciate the quality difference.
M.The pizzas are enormous, and tasty. But these guys need a better selection of toppings. You can buy a giant pizza and they will split shared toppings for you. Yummy.
S.Finally found a good pizza place and an authentic NY pizza! We ordered the usual cheese and pepperoni half and half pizza — and both ate just mouthwatering. We also had the buffalo wings but wasn’t impressed at all — expensive and not delish. I will not order the wings again, but will surely be back for other flavours of pizza.
UPDATED: If you’re after an authentic New York style pizza, Sal’s is the best place to be. This is my third time with them. Their pizza is huge and almost all flavours are tasty. I will definitely come back to try other flavours. Other than that, forget about the rest on their menu like the wings and all — small servings and pricey. If I didn’t order any side dishes i might give Sal’s 5/5.

First time here, prompt, efficient service (I was the only customer).
The "pizza" does not have any taste of cheese, odd seeing it is a cheese pizza! The knots are overpriced, doughy mouthfuls of blandness, zero taste, not the cheesy overload you may imagine. What is it with pizza in N.Z that it all comes out like a cheap South Auckland bakery pizza bread - 90% bread, 10% topping??? And $3.50 for a can of Coke??!!
Look at the underside of the slice - overcooked - if it was naan bread you would enjoy a little crispy burnt bit, not on pizza though.
Thin, with zero taste - branch was clean however, and looks cool. Should be 2/5. but I'm in a good mood oddly.
Left a mediocre taste in my mouth, much like my last rship, I'll amend the review if I go back, and the product has improved. No problem with the staff.

D.My daughter likes Sal's and I tried a piece of one of theirs, can't remember what flavor and it was nice but in general, I'm not a big fan of theirs.
Having said that, the service is friendly and fast and my daughter loves the $16.00 deal: 2 slices of pizza, 3 garlic knots and a can of drink.

J.Tried Sal's for the first time yesterday at their Manukau location for lunch. We had the full pepperoni pizza and garlic knots, both were enjoyable but quite pricey. Two slices would satisfy an adult and one for a child, as they are massive. Customer service was ok, chill atmosphere. Liked their decors, however floor, seats and tables need proper cleaning.
T.This is the closest Sal's to the airport (that I'm aware of) so I visit it a lot when I'm in town.
Can, and never will say a bad thing about any Sal's location. It's by far my favorite pizza place in New Zealand and I've been coming back for more coming on ten years now.
Not only is it the best place for pizza, but it's the best place for Buffalo wings as well. Gotta love that blue cheese. 😉
B.From a real New Yorker, this pizza is outstanding! The buffalo wings were perfect as well. Hands down the best meal I ate during my trip to New Zealand. We were outside the delivery area but the manager approved it and actually delivered himself. I can tell the people at Sals take pride in what they do. Other restaurants in New Zealand should take notes on how to satisfy their customers. Thanks again!
G.Largest Sal's location I've visited so far, plenty of seating. Friendly service, staff quick to clean up tables. Delicious pizza as always. I think this branch is lacking tap beer as far as I could tell, but still a couple of choices of bottled beer.

Well, I can gladly advise any readers, that I had a nice big grin on my face and a bulging stomach after sharing a pepperoni pizza and garlic knots.
L.The best sal's I've been to yet. Everything was fresh to order and everything was cooked within time. Customer service was just as good as the experience in store.

Q.Love the garlic knots & pepperoni pizza. Tried the buffalo pizza and it was bland. Lacked a sauce or something on top. I've dined in once before & felt uncomfortable. Just the looks I was getting from one of the young girls. Doesn't help when they go to the back and you hear laughter.
S.Buffalo wings were undercooked last night and haven't been that great the last few times I've visited when in NZ. Garlic Knots, Pepperoni Pizza and Mozzarella sticks were amazing as always. Nice quiet spot, staff can be friendly depending who is on.
