I love this place! A small but lovely restaurant, great service and the food is amazing. Maybe a little up there in price, but boy do you get your money's worth - the portions are plentiful and always service with a smile, plus by eating here you're supporting a wonderful local business. The Mediterranean chicken is a must try, and the Tiramisu is off the hook! Honestly, everything is great - just delicious food and all around great vibes :)

Amazing food! Visited today and had the Mediterranean Chicken, which was absolutely amazing! Served with a side salad, it’s so creamy and filling. By the end of it we all were so full but still had to order the baklava, which was also tasty. The owner also offered us tiramisu (which was so soft) to try which he said was popular among his regular customers. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to have something different for a change.

There is a reason why this place has a high review and it is for a good reason. For us, Mediterranean food can sometimes be a hit and miss, but this is not the case for Sam’s eatery. The foods tasted amazing. The moroccan lunch plate was yum especially the hummus. The mediterranean chicken was nice and creamy, although I wouldn’t order it for myself because it can be a bit too rich and creamy for one person, but it’s perfect if you order it to share. Tiramisu was definitely one of the best in Auckland so far. Place is a bit small. Service was lovely.

A nice little place with tasty food. Not super cheap but you definitely get your money's worth. Don't bother with starters if you're a smaller eater because the mains are huge, they also have a big selection if vegetarian and vegan options. Only 4 stars for a couple of reasons, one, it doesnt look like they have their own toilet so keep that in mind. Two, they don't have a lot of drinks on supply, they had no almond milk left and only one coke no sugar. Very unusual for an early Saturday night. Otherwise it was a great dinner for a group of 6 (any bigger and you'll be squished) and the service was warm and friendly.

We went here last night for burgers - best burgers we have had out and about. Well filled and beautiful flavours. Really loved the homemade buns as well - totally delicious! Thank-you Sam's Mediterranean - we will be back!! :-)

Thoroughly recommend this place! Food was absolutely delicious and generous portions. Staff were friendly and service was efficient. We ordered the Halloumi Salad and Chicken Wrap. Both dishes were filling, fresh and delicious. The coffee is great too; clearly experienced barista work. Will be back!!

Wow this place was awesome!! We ordered moussaka (yum!), the chicken burger (my husband said it was one of the top chicken burgers he's ever had! So much chicken as well!), the spinach/feta appetizer, the baklava, and the chocolate mousse. By the time we ate our mains, we had no room for the appy or dessert - the portions are so generous. We greatly enjoyed the rest later for sure. The mousse wasn't my favourite, but everything else was so good and I'd definitely eat it again or try other menu options.

This place blew me away. The food was amazing! The staff (owner?) was amazing. My partner had the grill. Her father had the most amazing chicken burger I had ever seen for the price. And I got nostalgic and had Turkish breakfast, Turkish coffee and Apple tea. Will definitely be back, I want to go right through this authentic menu.

Deliicious food with the best customer service I have come accross, his name was Kane. Thank you to Sam for the perfectly cooked grill and eggs. Absolutely reccomend if you are looking for a good solid meal and to try something different!

Fantastic food! Big portions and absolutely delicious. My girlfriend had the beef moussaka and I had the vege pasta. Highly recommend. Lovely, friendly staff and beautiful decor. Fresh feta, desserts and tea for sale here too.

Fresh and tasty!! Great, freshly cooked food by Sam, who's an amazing chef. Very friendly staff and clean: you can watch Sam cook your food! Turkish tea is well worth trying. For those with a sweet tooth, the homemade chocolate mouse or tiramasu is to die for.

I have been there many times and have tried all the meals, salads, deserts...They also do takeaway. Whenever i crave Mediterranean food, i only prefer going there as i always sure all the meals are fresh, delicious and elaborate. Nice place and nicely decorated. Today 29 September, 2021. Auckland is still in lockdown at level 3 and thankfully they are doing takeaway. Now, of course i m here again to take my delicious food. 🤩

Came here a long time ago with my partner and had the cajun chicken burger, which was absolutely delicious. We had been meaning to come back for a long time but got caught up in our busy lives. Today Auckland is still in alert level 3 lockdown and we didn't feel like cooking so returned thinking fondly of the burger we had many moons ago and to our surprise we were absolutely blown away with the food and service!! Our order was taken and we were given our food within 15minutes, we had the moussaka and the chicken and mushroom pasta, which came with a lovely greek salad. Everything tasted exquisite! We were even gifted with a free tiramisu, which we gobbled very quickly. We are left feeling very full and very satisfied. We will be recommending this establishment to all our friends, families and even strangers I'm sure. A MUST visit if you are ever in the area. Thank you so much, we will be back again soon!

This place has become one of my favorite restaurants in Auckland and I regularly travel 20kms just to have it. This place converted me to a Turkish Food Lover! The Turkish Apple Tea is amazing and those Turkish Delights are the best I've had. To the few comments about the pricing. If you aren't prepared to pay when you eat out then just stay home and quit complaining.

Dear owner, I agree with you that price is not the only criterion for a review and that Sam's Mediterranean eatery and Cafe has very tasty food, good service and is very clean. I also understand that food can be expensive but I do not accept that you would pay 5 Dollars for one capsicum. My real objection is the amount of increase to your price. Which is around 40 percent. This seems excessive to me. However looking at things overall, I am prepared to return to your restaurant and look forward to seeing you soon.

First time making a review but I felt it must be done. Amazing service, cleanliness, ambience, and flavour - this eatery is well worth 5 stars. The staff were wonderful. We'd love to pop by more often, but unfortunately we no longer live in Auckland. So lucky to have popped in during our random trip up. Wish I'd taken photos in hindsight. Had the Vegetable Platter and Mediterranean Chicken - fantastic.

Had a very nice lunch, both meals (meatballs and Mediterranean plate) were generously sized and the ingredients were very fresh. The coffee was very strong, very typically Turkish. Service was good too. Keen to go back and try some other dishes.

The complimentary rice was very tasty and unique and the salad rounded it off perfectly. Generous portions too! Very happy overall. I would give this 6 stars if I could. The service was impeccable. The food was some of the best I've ever had. It was well flavoured, served quickly and we were reloaded with sauce without even having to ask. If you haven't been here yet this is a must try!

This is a great find in Takapuna. Would highly recommend. His Turkish Bread is obviously made daily and elevates a his chicken burgers to a new level. We had an Apple tea it immediately transported us back to Turkey. Sams serves mostly Mediterranean food which is superb, but other alternatives available. The most beautiful, fresh Mediterranean food in Auckland. I absolutely love this place. There is a huge selection of vegan and vegetarian options. The falafel wraps are delicious and the baklava is to die for!! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. My favorite restaurant.

The best musaka outside of the Mediterranean. By far the best Mediterranean food in Auckland. The nice food along side the friendly service made our night. Dairy free daughter asked for some changes and they promptly made it to accommodate her restrictions. If you like real Mediterranean food you should visit this place.

The reviews are absolutely right, the food is delightful. On top of that the service was very good; on learning that I couldn't eat cheese the chef inquired whether I had a dairy allergy. Great coffee as well.

Stumbled on this little eatery while avoiding the rain today. A perfect, strong, coffee was followed by a beautiful vegetarian platter: the falafel and hummus is the best we've had ever!!!. We were so involved in the flavors of the dish, we forgot about the winter weather outside. We cannot compliment the service and food enough. It's going to become our regular, and we live on the Hibiscus Coast.
