Not quite a 2 star but not quite a 3. 2.5 stars all up. Got chicken and chips the other day, chicken outside was nice and crunchy but inside was just lots of oil sitting in the meat more than other places would have possibly not drained well or has too much chicken sitting on each other not sure. It wasn't dry meat but that might be because of the excess excess oil. Chips were cold and soggy and there is no seasoning on any of it. Probably a better idea to get some of their chicken and go home and cook chips and maybe a salad on the side to counteract the oiliness as afterwards you have that greasy oily feeling in the body. Definitely had worse and definitely had better but will try again. Food in cabinet looked like its been sitting there for a while reminds me of a Westfield mall food court late afternoon before closing but definitely worth it to try again and see what the other food tastes like. Staff are just busy so there's no polite service as such but it hasn't put us off going back. Decent sized chicken pieces though and place did look clean with A food grade. :-)

I rate this 5 stars for value alone. This place give you insane amounts of hot food for the price you purchase for. Taste is debatable upon your taste buds but the food is definitely eatable. For the price they charge you for, you would expect far worse. So a high 5 from me.

Food was very yummy both Chinese and chicken. I was served within a minute of being there and was out within 5minutes food prices were good and fair and we had left Overs.

Looks clean great service and fresh food. They have a wide variety of food options and are consistent in quality as well as quantity. Great value for money. It's always busy which is a testament to their popularity they take phone orders which is helpful.

Indisputably the best value for money takeaway shop! They have a wide range of your usual takeaway staples and quantity is huge for single portions. Service is prompt and efficient.

I was very hesitant to order here based on many bad reviews posted, but I always have that feeling of giving it a chance. Reasons why — reviews are opinions and we all have our own; they have an "A" rating for cleanliness; I love fried chicken; when I called for preorder, the lady named Taylor was very patient and pleasant while getting my orders knowing that it was a very busy day during that time (I hear heaps of people at the background ordering). And I called again to advise her that my husband will pick it up and to cook it at a later time as I want our chicken and chips fresh and she happily agreed. Once our orders arrived, I immediately ate 1 chip and it was piping hot but good! Right then and there, I know it was cooked fresh. And even their chicken nibbles are really, really mouthwatering! I wasn’t even hungry but I finished more than half of my orders. Apologies. I forgot to take photos of the food as we are very excited to try it. We are very satisfied with Shen’s takeaway. Recommended! UPDATE: Freshly cooked chicken is really good! Their Roasted Pork Belly is a must try as well. They just need to improve their gravy sauce. UPDATE: Love their Beef & Veggie with Black Bean Sauce ❤️

Best value for money true south Auckland style! If you ever get too lazy/tired to cook dinner in the weekends, Shen's takeaway won't disappoint you! Be warned there will be long queues at any given time! Their fried chicken nibbles goes out so fast! A must try if you're in south Auckland!

These guys do massive smorgasbord trays. Not even joking. Like 20 bucks and they pile it up there.. fried rice, egg foo yong, noodles.. the works. Tasty as chicken nibbles as well. 60 bucks will easily feed like 15 people easy. Give it a jam
