I’ve been here a few times and always happy with the quality of food and service. Reasonable price to start with. Nice and open modern design. The restaurant is more or less a fusion between Japanese and Thai cuisine. Highly recommend Son in law eggs dish (as captured in the photo) and homemade Coconut ice cream desert. Something new that not many other Thai restaurants offer.

This restaurant needs another Google star 5 is not enough. Quietly tuck on the Hobsonville Point is this wonderful Japanese restaurant. The food was outstanding. But the service was even better what an enjoyable night. Thanks for the surprise Birthday dessert for my son. Thank You we will definitely come back with others to share this experience.

I don’t know why we did not visit this place earlier. First of all the staff was so lovely and helpful to start with. I reserved a table over the phone and was accepted in soon as we arrived. We went both for the dinner and for the lunch in two seperate occasions. I would say dinner was a blast. We loved all our dishes. It was well cooked and well presented. Would definitely visit this place again. Price was reasonable for the location and quality

My husband and I’m celebrating our anniversary while in isolation. We ordered a special meal online and friends of ours collected and delivered it to our door. The portion sizes were huge. We had the salt and pepper squid as starter to share. The masuman curry and sweet and sour pork were SO tasty! Definitely a favourite! So glad we could get it as a take away.

The place has a really nice setting and good atmosphere. The food is pretty good, there are definitely some stand out meals but others are so so. I had the Pork Belly Ramen that I could definitely make at home, there wasn't anything special about it but not terrible. The service was pleasant but not stellar, they had to go and check something everytime we had a question about the meal for regular things like what was the market fish. We were never asked about how our drinks were going either. The prices a fair though for the quality and portions on most things, if anything the starters are overpriced. $13.50 for one bao is a bit steep.

Went for dinner last night. We had the green curry and red duck curry along with other things. Both curries we rated as some of if not the best tasting we have experienced. Portions were sufficient to feel satisfied. They make amazing cocktails as well. Great service. The only rest restaurant still going in the area sadly. Please help to keep it going as they do a wonderful job. Highly recommend if you want great service with friendly staff, tasty food with a big menu.

5 stars as the coffee was absolutely excellent. It has been ages since we had such good coffee and if not for anything else - do come to try the coffee. The mushroom dumplings were fresh and lovely. The eggplant bao needed more in terms of texture and flavour. The beef don was excellent. We will be back for sure.

This place is a hidden gem in Hobsonville. Consistency in service & delivery of clean fresh flavours that eloquently highlights the flavours of Thai cuisine. The Mushroom & Truffle Dumplings are a must have along with the Green Curry, Larb & Pad Thai. Highly recommend.

My partner and I went here for dinner for our anniversary. The service was lovely, and the food was amazing. I ordered the green curry and a mock tail and would give both a 10/10. You do need to call and book early though as it’s often fully booked for dinner. Waiting time was a bit longer than expected for food, but that’s likely because it was really busy when we went.

Excellent range of food and well prepared. Green curry chicken was outstanding. Oysters were great. Do ask where to park before going - it's a short walk when you know where to go. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

We had a great lunch yesterday! We were welcomed warmly and the lady was a wonderful host. We felt so valued when she really went out of her way to accommodate all our requirements. Atmosphere and ambiance was perfect for a relaxed conversation. Food was perfect. Not to mention, I think there were only 3 of them yesterday and was able to attend to us despite the place being full on a Tuesday. The lady made us birthday cocktails! Beautifully done and tasted divine. She was awesome. Kudos to her and the team. Will definitely be coming back!

This an asian fusion restaurant, we went there for lunch with some friends. The staff was friendly all the time and they even asked us if we had any allergies or if there was something we couldn't have. All the food was delicious and the portions were quite big! We will definitely going back!

The team at Siamese Doll have done a fantastic job in expressing Asian flavours through their menu. Flavours pack a punch and serving sizes are fairly generous. Went here for my Birthday dinner and Bernard was an excellent waiter, very friendly and approachable. Also very consistent in filling our glasses with water. We ordered to share and I recommend you do so as well. We ordered the panang curry, green curry, pork hock, crab + shrimp fried rice and the Pad Thai. All were so flavourful and authentic to their cultures. Mum actually told Bernard that it was my birthday in a conversation and I was surprised with a Filled doughnut for dessert. Bernard and the team at Siamese Doll have gone above and beyond to make my night memorable. The food from Siamese Doll is hands down the best out of the restaurants in Hobsonville Point. 10/10 I will be coming back!

I live in Papakura and it's the second time I have been to Siamese. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Ordering and service was very quick. Always returning to ask friendly questions etc. I ordered the same food yummy and healthy. Its was the salmon.

Had the pleasure of dinner at Saimese Doll recently. What a great experience, firstly great service, waiter sorted our group with drinks, wine and craft beer. All options outstanding kiwiana. Awesome knowledge of menu ingredients, could advise the Vegan in our group as to which meals could be prepared for her. Entrées and mains where superb 👌 a real taste sensation. Absolute Thai fusion. Great location, is easy to say highly recommended.

Went there for dinner on Saturday night, atmosphere is good, seats were good, acidity evergreen of waitress was great. We got a bad batch of lotus root chips, basically burnt and pat brown, we complained and got another bowl that was even worse - soft, cold tasted like they were stale. Drinks took a while to come through, but when they did they were great. The food was interesting from a menu perspective, we had dumplings, squid rings, karage chicken, tofu for starters - on the whole I liked it the serving sizes were good a well, though I would have liked more dumplings but who wouldn't ;) Mains we got green curry fish, lamb massaman curry, crab and prawn fried rice, the fried rice was a bit let down I think it needed some more/ bigger prawn pieces. Lamb massaman was just melt in your mouth. Green curry fish was delicious and everything had a good serving size. We got donuts for takeaways, they were delicious. On the whole we had a great night, will probably skip the lotus root and we'll try done other dishes next time.

Such a cool place, finally something like this opened in Hobsonville. The staff and the food are amazing. The place is very spacious with a very modern design. We order a salad, fried chicken, tempura prawns, pork skewers and pork buns. Everything was good, but the chicken was amazing! We are definitely coming back.

I loved it here. Great decor, warm & welcoming atmosphere. Staff were friendly & efficient with quick service. The menu is so yummy it was hard to decide so we ordered sharing platters which worked well. Good selection of wines including some local wines which is always good to see. Supporting the community. I’ve been here several times, always opt for the green curry as it’s so yum and creamy, and the kaarange chicken is so delicious. It looks like lunch and dinner portion is the same but big price difference. It could be a lunch special?

Menu isn’t too expensive considering it’s a well known establishment but $4 for a small rice pot is absurd, considering it’s about $0.10 to actually make. Pork belly was slightly dry but portion sizes were reasonably large. I would return to try other dishes on the menu.

Very nice place for lunch. Chef was excited that my son had quite an interest about how sushi was put together, and he brought out a little avocado one just for him heheh I had the fried chicken with sauce (pictured with the lettuce in same bowl) and it was really good, very tender and hot. The other photo is the chicken with lotus root chips. The chips taste quite like plain rice crackers and make a nice snack to dip in sauces.

Good environment and nice food. A great place to go for the westies if you are looking for a modern trendy dining places but don’t want to drive to city areas. Price is a bit on the higher end. We ordered chicken katsu slider, pad thai, tom yum prawn, red duck curry, larb chicken salad, mango sticky rice and deep fried custard. The larb chicken salad was a bit too salty and the mango sticky rice and deep fried custard were too sweet.

Let me say first, the food was delicious. However, It took 50-60 minutes from our arrival till our food arrived. We ordered starter and main. The starter came after main! And it was overpriced. Our table was so dark we could hardly read the menus or see what we were eating. Service was slow. Dessert was average. So, no reason to rave about it really. Will I go back? Not in a rush. Oh, and the music was annoying.

Went here with our friends for dinner on a weeknight. The location is good, near the wharf and lots of parking. The restaurant itself has a modern design. We were accommodated by one of the staff almost immediately which left us with a good impression. The place is also baby/toddler friendly because it has high chairs available, where some restaurants don’t. The food I ordered was not exceptional but it was good. I ordered the red duck curry and mixed tempura. I would give the red duck a 4 / 5 for taste and flavour. The service was good with a personal rating of 4 / 5. The Ambience has a 4 / 5 rating. Based on the location, the establishment would be a good place to get a drink or snack, go on a date, relax or dine with your family. The atmosphere or vibe of the place is creative and trendy. Overall, I would recommend this restaurants to my friends and would come back again to this place.

One of the best Thai beef salads around Auckland, the beef is so soft and tender with a really pleasant experience in each bite. The fresh oysters have the sweet see breeze taste. 🤤 However, pork ramen is mediocre and the soup base was rather bland 😔. The beef in yakiniku don was well seared and flavorsome 😊. The prawn and pork dumpling relatively average and no hint of lemongrass in the chicken and lemongrass dumpling 🙄. Salmon sushi in the kid's menu is appalling, this really threw it all. Four food court grade salmon 🍣 for $16! Is not just worth it. Thai beef salad is priced similarly. 🤔 Lastly, the ambiance is great, cozy and really inviting. Could use a few real plants though, particularly on the entrance way where you'll be greeted with plastic plants.

Have been going here regularly since it opened and we are never disappointed with our meal. A few changes to the menu over the last couple of weeks and tried new dishes tonight. All were amazing as were the staff. Highly recommend to friends very regularly.

Excellent in every area. This is one of the few places you can go and every dish is great at a minimum but more likely to be excellent. Had a curry, hot beef plate and Karage chicken finished with a Donut, everything was excellent with tender meat, juicyness and excellent flavour. Waitress was prompt and attentive never having to wave down anyone and had good advice on the menu with the Massuman Curry. Also price wise only $87 for 2 people with an excellent coffee its hard to beat value for money.

Nice place with good vibes. The staff are quick, friendly, and attentive. We were in a large group celebrating a birthday which would usually be a recipe for chaos, but they were great with the way they handled us. The steamed bun with tempura courgettes was fantastic. We also ordered the karage fried chicken and chicken pad thai, both of which were great, and even the broccoli (yes broccoli!) was amazing. This place is a must do.

Took family visiting from Australia there. Food was excellent and ambience was great too. However, dining experience spoilt with the host moving our table three times during our meal. However I saw they had a $7 coffee and donut special and figured I'd grab one for me and my girlfriend; the coffee was excellent and the donut made me question my life and why I settled for Krispy Kreme as a suitable donut/sugar fix. Safe to assume we came back here today and the quality we experienced wasn't a fluke and somewhere I definitely intend to revisit. I highly recommend them and will update once I've come back for dinner or lunch.

We'd heard about this little gem, even though we live in Auckland we drove the 25 minutes to check this place out and we were not disappointed. A great menu with lots of Asian dishes, dumplings, bao, karaage chicken, papaya salad, pad Thai etc etc. Great choice of alcohol and beers. You can reserve a booth or bigger table if you're with a group. Food came out quickly and the service was attentive. Great place if you're a local. Good for kids too.

Fantastic!! Loved it. We went on a Sunday evening (booked in advance) and the place was mostly full. I loved everything about the place - friendly staff, nice comfy seats, warm, excellent service (nothing was too hard) and beautiful tasty food. Yum. I will be getting back here as soon as i can. We head a meal few weekends ago and the lotus chips came burned/charred. I complained about it, got a new lot which still had the same burnt lot but the rest of it was stable and tasted disgusting. Won't be going there in a hurry.

This place used to be so good but I went recently and although the food looks good the flavours were really bland. I did give it 2 chances because I remember how yum it was . But both times were the same experience food flavour wasn’t as good as it used to be . The green curry tasted really watered down and it wasn’t the same taste from when they first opened.
