HIGHLY RECOMMEND! You need to check out this little gem! We dined on a Saturday night and have been blown away by their amazing menu, attention to detail, great wine list, gorgeous fit out, lovely, genuine service- not to mention their awesome food! Every dish was fab, I can’t mention anything we didn’t enjoy and we tried a LOT! The menu has something for everyone and try something you wouldn’t normally! Definitely choose this place for your next dining out occasion!

I was recommended this establishment from foodie friends of mine, who proved yet again that they know what they're talking about! Matt, one of the owners, was on the floor all of the time, assisting diners to have the best evening, clearly confident that his team out 'back' knew what they were doing also. Every part of the evening was fantastic, and the meal was so good, we all had to share each others food to some extent because we wanted to try it all! I had the small plate ribs with a couple of seasonal vege sides - each was a true delight. The service was excellent too. Thank you to the entire team who made our evening so lovely.

Definitely worth a visit. We received a nice welcome from Anna and Catherine. It was blustery last evening and we hadn't made a reservation but they were so accommodating. I ordered the beef which was very tender and my friend enjoyed her chicken dish. We shared a generous side dish of kumara and goats cheese. Dessert was limonocello and also banana meringue with rum sauce (a little too sweet...no problem, they would let the chef know). Stanley Ave has an incredible wine selection. They have tried to reduce noise with acoustic paneling.

Just finished the family feast for four by their fabulous new head Chef. The food was sublime, So fresh with well balanced exceptional flavours. Beautifully presented and generous portion sizes. I teach hospitality so have high standards. This was a truly memorable meal and I can't wait till we can dine inside again.

We had a girls lunch to celebrate Christmas today. All I can say is WOW! What a hidden gem StanleyAve Bar restaurant is. The food, the service and the decor all 100%. Four of us ordered the fresh fish on pea risotto, it was fresh and it was full of flavour cooked to perfection. The side of Parmesan fries where a hit to. Thank you for being on the Shore. I’m just about to book again .

One of the best neighbourhood bistros I have tried recently. Both the food and drinks were great and decent portion size. I look forward to going back soon to try more items on their menu.

What a superb venue and team. Myself and my partner had a fabulous dining and wining experience here recently and look forward to returning. We wanted to try everything so we did our best and nothing disappointed, the food was exceptional. Matthew was such a great host and extremely accommodating. We asked for wine pairings with our meals and he hand picked a great selection of wines that complemented the food so well. A big thank you to the whole team for such a great experience, the hospitality did not go unnoticed.

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience of this awesome wine bar & bistro on this Friday night. The decor was cool & classy. The menu was deliciously interesting & our meals were perfect. Although only ordering a glass of wine, it was poured at the table which was a nice touch.The waitstaff were friendly & very professional. Thanks so much. Can't wait to go again. Highly recommend.

Finally a local wine bar/bistro close to home in Milford. First visit tonight and lived up to expectations despite only being open couple of days. Good food, met neighbours and great wine & beer. Asset to Milford and sure will be even better over summer

Food was tasty with a bit of flair. The service was attentive and just right wait times between courses while the waiter took time to explain the menu and recommend. Ambience was relaxed and stylish. Haven't been to a decent North Shore bistro in years until now. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Amazing wine and food. Beautiful premis and the best, knowledgeable staff. Best in Auckland by far!!! Always talk your wine choices over w the two manager/owners, they always set us right!

A brilliant night out. The food was exceptional, service was perfect, and a killer wine list. What else do you want? For sure my favourite restaurant experience on the north shore.

Great venue. Wonderful to see that the Johnston bench is in full use. Weary walkers up Crown hill can rest on the seat donated to the locals of Milford in 1926.Now with added benefit of a free beer for anyone who asks

Stanley’s is a lovely family wine bar located near Milford. The wine selection is incredible and perfectly matched to your food if you ask. The food is good and reasonably priced. Stanley’s is popular any night of the week so make sure you book ahead.

Our recent lunch here was outstanding and we cannot wait to return. From the excellent wine offerings to the unique and exceptional menu items (and we ordered several and each one was perfection, skillfully prepared by Alok and his team), to the skilled and charming wait staff and maitre d', the entire experience was memorable. The lamb tartar and chicken in black tea are two of many reasons we will return. This place is such a brilliant addition to the area and is already a favourite with the locals. It is well on its way to becoming one of Auckland's best bistros and well worth crossing the bridge for those who don't live on the North Shore.

Had such a great nice, 8 of us for dinner in the private dinning. One if the more memorable nights, could not have asked for more. Great staff, food and the wines were superb

Such a wonderful spot! The food was absolutely incredible - by far the best I have had out in a long long time and delicious wine menu too! Also great service and vibe. Will definitely be back and want the chickpea panisse recipe.

Food was amazing so good to have something of this quality in Milford. The mixologist is a genius! High recommendation to the Breakfast Daiquiri, Certainly the drink I would like to start and finish my day with! Will be back with friends, so many more delectable delights to eat my way though!

Went to enjoy our new local last night. Great atmosphere, great service. All the food and wine we ordered was excellent except the Wagyu Rump Steak - tasty but chewy :-( We will return for wine and shared plates again though :-)

Delicious and varied menu (the raw fish and chicken particularly tasty), amazing wine list and divine cocktails. All rounded off in a cozy, chic setting with first class service.

Excellent service, great wine list, food was top notch. Recommend the venison tartar and the virgin paloma.

Very nicely fit out, very comfortable place for a wine/beer. Enjoyed some items off the snack menu, smoked fish fried bread was delicious! Will return soon for dinner.
