T.Ordered tandoori fish which was tasty and well cooked.
Lamb biryani had a lot of flavor and a good amount of tender lamb in it.
Naan breads were very nice aswell.
Tikki channa chat had a lot of flavor and was something different for me but I like it 👌
G.I wanted to try this place out. It's very hidden and I don't think many people know about this little gem. The food is delicious and it hits all the right spots in my belly 🤤 customer service is so 👌 have only been there once but I'm ordering food again today . Its best to ring and order that way you're not waiting at the shop as it takes about 20mins for them to prepare your order so you know it's so fresh . Try the cheese Na

A.Surya is one of the best Indian restaurants in South Auckland. The curries they make is really delicious and spicy. I would recommend everyone to try their chilli chicken semi gravy. The staffs are very friendly and receiving. Once we when they were closing, but still they welcomed us and took our order.

very good. Their Malai tikka chicken is my favourite. The food is flavoursome. I now order from them once a week. The chef cooks it to your liking if need be and makes an amazing carrot and onion chutney.

We order all the way from Flatbush just cause it’s very good value for money and always the food is yummy.
Our favourite is Talumeen soup and veg bullet.
But even palak paneer is awesome.

J.We tried this place only a couple of times(Chicken noodles is my favourite). Everytime it turns out best. Amazing food and service. Quantity is one of the best factors and this would be my go to place. I 100% recommend this place in South Auckland for Indo-Chinese lovers.

I had a tikki channa chat, lamb biryani and butter chicken
It took a while for food to cook and deliver but it was worth the wait. My order was still hot and each dish was fresh and bursting with flavours. Their butter chicken is amazing! I had the kiwi style butter chicken.
J.Excellent food and service.... Helpful staff and owner very friendly.... I loved their "Baigan Bharta" but they don't seem to make this anyone.... Maybe because of the increase in cost of eggplants???? I bought a channa dish but the fried bhatura was very chewy hard to break up with your hands (seemed like a fried Naag)... Otherwise the food is generally great....I would definitely go back for the curries.... I am a vegetarian....

J.I don't usually review places but this place is a food heaven for sure. And they also cater to everyone's food allergy (my friends have allergies and they also feel safe to order here). I have been here multiple times now and the quality is always consistent. There is definitely a waiting time during peak hours but for such a good food I am more than happy to wait. Review of the dishes I have tried:
Schezwain Momo: Really fulfilling and spicy exactly how I like.
Steamed Chilli Chicken: Whenever I am on a diet. It is my go to with tandoori papadam for the crunch.
Paneer lalal(still don't know what it is called): It is a Chef's special. Grated Paneer Curry. Will totally recommend.
Soy Masala: when I am eating with my vegan friends.
Tawa Goat: My partner's favourite.
Veg Bullet: it just taste really good with the sauce that they give. I have never had it at any other Indian places.
Also love the family running the place . They are really sweet and gives complementary sides from time to time.

K.A real special vegan meal cooked with love. Amazing variety, flavour, taste and great value added to a North Indian cuisine. They were very forthcoming and helpful in keeping the meal waste free too and loaded up our home glass containers. Thank you for that. Highly recommend the baingan bharta, tandoori rotis, soya curry, chole batura, and aloo palak. Excellent prices too with real large servings.

Today had butter chicken (nice, yummy) and fish saagwala and this was disappointing not nice at all, they use basa fish. Please be aware.

S.Food was a little overpriced but I loved the taste and consistency. Soya chaap masala could have got more of soya. Good meal for a single person. They could improve on their presentation. Maybe try variety such as seasonal specialities or festive menus rather than the typical Indian fare.

E.This is our #1 go to Indian! The hot curries have great heat but still delicious flavours (and are cheap too!) We have been multiple times and will keep coming back.. the cheese and garlic naan is a must! 10/10!!!
D.While we’ve yet to visit in person, we regularly order from Surya on Uber Eats - it is now the only ‘local’ Indian restaurant we will order from. While their regular ‘Kiwi-Indian’ fare is great (my wife is always happy with her Butter Chicken and naans), all the less common options I’ve tried are great. Surya introduced me to Manchow Soup which I’m a huge fan of now, as well as Chole Bhatura which is also great, and their veg spring rolls with hot sauce are brilliant. Finally, the servings are extremely generously sized and often come with some unexpected extras - for example, order a Biryani and along with it you get a big portion of yummy cabbage and onion pickle on the side. Two thumbs up!
