Fast and fresh, very much American style plate of chicken. Chicken is habanero spiced, nice burn, tender and crisp. Chicken pieces are smaller than kfc I prefer the flavor kfc hot and spicy . High light of the dish was the chips and the biscuit,buttery and wholesome, will go back just for that alone.

Food is always good at Texas chicken , my family loves it but the only problem is the last 3 times we received our order with a piece or two short so would say to anyone ordering please check your order and your mash and gravy.

First time to have it in South of akl instead of west. Guess we were there at dinner time, chicken and chips served at fresh, everything tasted so good. I love the spicy flavour, however would be great to offer super spicy, will be great.

We went to this mall for the first time and were not able to decide what to order but looking at what most the people were ordering, Teaxs chicken was the obvious choice. It turned out to be a good choice. Loved the wrap over the burger. Chicken was nicely cooked.

It was as good as can be expected during level 2 lockdown. Foods fine but no where to eat it. With covid levels lifted its a better experience to get your texas chicken and sit down to eat it. Service is also faster now.

Chicken is amazing! Their chicken is more moist and tender than any restaurant you would have been to. spicy chicken is really spicy so watch out for that. Unlimited drinks, so the value is incredible. Must try for everyone.

Update as of 04/2021: Has gotten much better, food tastes great and hasn't missed any orders. Highly recommended now. Previous review: Rather poor consistency from the many times I've ordered from here. Also, quite a few times my order has been incorrect (missing items). On the positive side, service isn't too bad and sometimes it tastes quite nice, but the consistency is too random.

I have changed my review from 1 star t0 3stars. On my 1st at review it was due sanitary purposes and the chicken being red and needing to be cooked again and also the wings being so mini and not spicy at all. Since then I've been back and it has improved but still needs work. I recommend the hot and spicy chicken or the spicy burgers. Everything else has minimum flavor

It is really easy to see Omitting from the menu. Have you ever tried a chicken without coleslaw? Why can't I get the wings around 12pm weekend after? Nevertheless, the chicken is good to ppl can eat spicy stuffs. If you wanna have ordinary taste you'd better go to KFC

Texas chicken has to be one of my favorite fast food restaurants I've had, the chickens are really well seasoned and are juicy too. Their fries are also amazing they taste good and is just perfect, and you also get free refills drinks😄 definitely worth the money and would recommend this place to others😁

First time experiencing Texas Chicken at Manukau Mall 19/12/2018 9.15pm. Was a very long line with only one open till however I was very impressed with my clerk Angela. She was very polite, friendly and I soon got over the wait with her lovely customer service. Great job getting through as many orders as she could. With the food however they did seem to have run out of certain items such as the spicy chicken pieces and also the bread rolls. I initially chose my meal to try all of these items however settled with a original 2 piece pack. There did seem to be a lot of confusion from the kitchen through to the front of house with orders and items that had sold out, however I could see only Angela making an attempt to try rectify customers orders from the lack of communication. The other 2 staff on with her including the cook was not very helpful and one lady seemed very angry and adjatated which is very unprofessional for customers to see. All in all I loved the food I was able to try, more tills and operators should be on during peak times and restocking of popular items a must. More communication needed from the manager on site and awareness and common sense to open up another till to get customers through. Angela- amazing under pressure and excellent customer service Myra

This is the best spot for having quality chicken, their chicken is always fresh and perfectly cooked, if you're fond of eating spicy chicken then I highly recommend this place, even their staff is so friendly they'll be happy to help you out if you're confused what to eat 😅. Better than the other 2 fried chicken franchises in NZ, way bigger chicken pieces, always get spicy it tastes better as original is flavourless, don't bother with the sides as the mash n gravy tastes like Maggi gravy, the chips aren't bad but the coleslaw is weird and soapy. Well well, 2020 brought covid but it also brought a resurgent Texas Chicken Manukau. Staff are awesome, the duty manager is a cool chick, best of all the spicy chicken makeover is a success... Tastes amazing man.

I love the spicy chicken!!!Crispy and spicy on the outside and super juicy on the inside. The potato n gravy remind me of Oporto. Not a fan of the honey bun but that’s just my personal opinion. The Texas sampler pack is good for people who are unsure what to order

Texas Chicken Manukau. Pick and choose your time and days to go because of congestion. Manukau City Food Court is a very popular place with a large variety of ethnic foods. But, if its chicken you want, Texas Chicken has the go to menu. Looking for a spicy kick give their spicy combos a try. They are to die for - chicken pieces potato and gravy, fries, a honey roll and drink. Didn't like the taste of the potato and gravy and honey roll. But their amazing tender spicy chicken made up for it.

The fried chicken pieces is way larger than what KFC offers and spicy is always on the menu. The honey flavour scones are way better than the bread rolls from KFC as well. One of the down side is the opening hour since the Manukau branch is located in the shopping mall.

I always say it's "like KFC but without the oil" haha. You know sometimes how your KFC is super oily and yoy feel heavy and gross after eating? Texas chicken isn't like that. I do prefer KFC's rolls and potato/gravy but for chicken I like Texas.

However, I found that the chicken wasn't as flavoursome... but, it is crispier and seems less fatty, so if you're looking for a healthier fried chicken (if there's such a thing) then give this one a go.
