Had the best time here with my partner. All of our meals we're cooked beautifully. Had the lamb shank, oysters and steak meals for fje main. Yummy banana split and cheesecake for desert. Staff were very catering and always checked in on us to see if everything was okay. Thank you for the nice service!😊

Myself and my Fiance ordered a bottle of red wine and the 2 person platter which consists of all the meat options on the menu. The specific wine we ordered wasn't available so the manager came to our table and offered us a choice of 2 other reds and gave his opinion on both which we found to be very professional and ended up with a wine we were both really happy with. Our platter was amazing, everything tasted delicious and the portions were perfect for the 2 of us. We felt satisfied, not overfed or still hungry. It was quite busy, and there were only 2 wait staff (who were also on the bar) and the manager. However our food came out surprisingly fast and the staff were very fun and kind. I notice a few of the bad reviews are from people who have never had smoked chicken before, and because of this the staff are very clear when ordering the chicken that it will be pink. As someone who HAS eaten smoked chicken before I knew what to expect and the chicken was great. Incredibly happy with our experience and will certainly be dining here again in the future.

Food was sooo yummy! We went on a Thrusday evening after 9pm and there were already two tables taken so about 8 all up including us so it was a quiet night with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Food came out at a reasonable time with great service from the guy at all times. I was really hungry too. The half rack rib size isn't as large to other places I've had however in all honesty this was pretty satisfying and filling so having more I probably would've needed a take away bag. My ribs were yummy and sweet and fell off the bone, just how I like it. The mac and cheese just needs salt added and it taste so creamy. The garlic bread was the best I've ever had cheesy and garlicy yet soft almost like thw texture of ciabatta Naan bab. The brisket was cooked perfectly and the chips were crunchy and tasty. I am definitely returning back here again. Only thing I'd suggest is having coleslaw with the rib meal.

Last minute celebrations for us... Our first time here Weds night, I called beforehand and received a dose of good old lovely phone etiquette. This guy sounded hyped and happy! We decided to try. The same guy (note names next time zzz), met us and directed us to our table. This guy is top notch, if he's training his staff to be like him this restaurant is very lucky! The restaurant looked busy, with a few working, but his wonderful and obvious 'know how to make a customer feel welcomed' did not falter. From the delicious, large portioned meals which were served quickly, despite the busy night, to checking that we were okay (both waiters did). It was lovely to hear the female waiter say 'tulou' (excuse me in Samoan), when passing our food. In some places... I won't ruin this review by mentioning. We were just really impressed! This little restaurant stuck between others, is so worth checking out! You will not regret it! We'll definitely be back very soon!! Really amazing customer service, great food and company does make for an awesome night! Note: Michael Jackson playing in the background too.... Food: We had the Tomahawk, platter for 2, chicken wings meal, Mac n cheese, Brownie dessert, Eton mess and their garlic bread...was the best I've ever tasted!!

Our very first time dinning in at Texas and it was an awesome time. The staff were so friendly and helpful. This place never misses a beat. Ordered from the menu the last couple of times and that was amazing. Tonight my partner and I tried the platter for the 1st time and wow what a feast. The staff always bubbly and friendly. Far better than any other smokehouse I have been too. Thanks 😊

First time at this restaurant for dinner with my son and fiance. Very clean, very tidy and very welcoming. The service here is awesome, the food we had was great. My son is a picky eater, but he loved his T Bone steak he ordered, to the point where he did his little "happy food" dance in his seat... 😆. Prices were very reasonable, and there was a great selection which catered for any sized crowd. Will be looking to come back again with the rest of my whanau on my next visit back to AKL.

Love this restaurant for its atmosphere, design, and of course, the meat!!!! When I think Texas, I think of barbecued meats 🤣 The Tomahawk steak meal would be what I highly recommend even though it is pricey, it is 100% worth it!! If you don’t want to pay the price, then definitely get the brisket meal and add a side of mushroom sauce lol whatever you order, you need to order the mushroom sauce 😽🤌🏼 This restaurant is so spacious and I like that there are a lot of booth type seating, so you don’t have to fight for that seating 😂 The customer service is very good as well.

On the 21/05/2022 , My Lil Sister had her wedding reception. Booked the top room. Requested the DJ and buffet. Best experience, beautiful food. We requested a few things and the restraunt delivered. 5 stars from me and family. Thank you for making my sisters wedding extra special. Reccommend eating here, worth spending that couple more dollars than eating at Lone Star. We ordered the TBone steak meal & NZ Angus Scotch, which came with fries, salad (which was very nice, fresh & crisp, wasn't a whole lot of lettuce, tomatoes & cucumber were bite sizes & easy to eat) Mushroom sauce which tasted & looked like it was made from scratch. I tried both meats, which melted in the mouth, wasn't chewy. Water had a fresh lemon wedge which chased it all down with a Margarita 🍹. For dessert I chose the cream Brule, which exceded my expectation (didn't need the hundred & thousands) for $8.90 was definitely worth it hat's off to the chef & Bobby who was our waiter (never left us waiting, interested in what we thought, how our meal was, very interactive) great customer service 5 stars. Not bad at all for being in level 3 red light. Restaurant was inviting, comfortable with a nice indoor outdoor flow (for smokers, lighting was on point if you wanted to eat outside, not too windy for this time of the year) not to mention the music they played not too loud & songs you could sing along too. We also got to meet the father of the owner, who gave us a history lesson on their Restaurant. They even had a function room upstairs which at the time was a 21st, sounded pumping. Next time we'll try the shared dinner for 2, which looked mouth watering. My expectations were high & they certainly ticked all the boxes (karen, did not come out lol), with a little bit more marketing & advertising they could definitely put Lone Star down the rd & Dennys round the corner out of business. Used to be a Indian Restaurant which is now a smokehouse, the name definitely lives up to the food they provide. Thank you for a lovely evening, could not fault it, even if I tried. You will be seeing us again, this time we'll bring the kids. Overall very friendly team/family run business. Here's some more stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Can't wait to visit again, please don't close down, you have the right style that ticks all the boxes. Very happy customer here 😊

The briskets are the best, must try. If doing it again, will definitely order briskets alone. The pork ribs were a little to sweet for my taste buds The sausages were average. corn bread really good Might be as good as blueox all in all. The order comes with different types of sauces, and pickle/onion side The ordering process from its website is the old menu but good value for money . The staff are friendly.

Went here on Friday ordered takeaway mega tray 4 2 went before they opened and was allowed to order and wait inside while food was getting rdy awesome service food took about 10-15 minutes however the price was different to what is advertised on the web page was $59.99 but was charged $69.99 Food was excellent loved everything on the plate

The beef brisket was tender, the chicken had great flavour and wasn't dry at all and the links were juicy and paired well with a beer. Excellent Service, food was served quickly, was different but loved the platter we got. Maybe not so much chicken, and a bit more meat. Meat melted in your mouth. Overall an excellent experience. Our waitress checked on us multiple times and made our little girl feel special.

I tried this place for the first time last night, one of the BEST meals i've ever had. I ordered the Scotch fillet meal with a side dish of Mac & Cheese and Corn Bread...All cooked to perfection. Didn't have to wait for very long yet the fillet was cooked perfectly, chips were hot & fresh and so was the salad. Staff were friendly and so attentive, the owner was serving and cleaning as well such a great example of leadership. Will definitely be back. Thanks Texas Smokehouse

Food was nice enough, smoked meat very tender but just a plate with meat & chips on so pretty basic, I guess a lot of people would like that sort if meal but I expect to get better than what I can cook at home if I'm going out & this was pretty average! We were expecting some sort of handcut chips but they were just plain straight cut 13mm that you get anywhere, cooked very well though but the whole experience just average, would not bother going back.

One of the most amazing restaurants we have been too!!! The customer service from all of the staff was beyond amazing, very friendly. Went over and above when it came to catering to the children dinning in. The experience was like nothing we've experienced ever before. Great quality food, the ribs were cooked to perfection and the quantity was also top notch. They definitely know how to set the tone for a beautiful atmosphere. We've been to plenty of places and after just recently relocating to Auckland this has been the best place we've dined at since being here. The Texas Smokehouse is one of the best steak houses I’ve been too. I had a large group with me and the waiters staff handled the order and overall experience amazingly. We started off with the cornbread and then between us had the brisket, Mac n Cheese and Ribs, these were absolutely divine. The sides were also extremely generous with great portion size and the coleslaw was great. Overall a great dining experience and will definitely be back!!!

I ordered the Platter for two tonight. I paid and then waited for my food. I was taking this meal away to share with my family. Lovely waitress comes to me and hands me my bag of food, and then makes me aware their is no pulled pork in my bag, they have just run out? and she proceeds to tell me that they have added extra portions of the other foods to make up the difference. I was'nt happy and told the waitress that she should have made me aware before proceeding with my order. The reason for NOT ordering the ribs tonight was the inclusion of the pulled pork option that is part of the Platter for two. The extra portions i received was chicken that i regard as dog tucker, i dont like chicken but wanted the other meats and extra corn bread which was surprisingly nice? The brisket in my view was the scraps that they could desperately find to even consider keeping my order together and it looked like shreds. i was expecting more of this meat to make up and i would have been happy tbh, but?, nope. I am not a happy camper and the restaurant manager should have discussed their lack of options tonight with me so i could make a choice. This is my second visit in five days and the first was a great eat in experience. I wont be in a rush to return or recommend to others. Cedric

When we decided that Texas smokehouse would be a stop on our usual meal trip once a month , I knew we had to get BBQ . I've been dreaming of trying Texas based bbq and brisket for years... after seeing them in movies and watching all of his smoking videos on YouTube, to say that my expectations were high is an understatement. Fortunately the ribs, brisket, pulled pork and sausage were all FREAKING AWESOME!!! While we didn't get to experience A texas environment we truly enjoyed our BBQ. When we're back near Manaukau again, we will absolutely be ordering again..
