Honestly the best pizza I've ever had. Cooked to absolute perfection and it was all so damn tasty! Traditional and flavourful and just all kinds of exquisite. I can't recommend it highly enough. Great service, super friendly and a really relaxed and cosy atmosphere. We had to order another pizza for us to take home, that's how good this place is. I've known about it for quite a while, and heard only good things. Can't believe it's taken me this long to try it. I'd encourage anyone to make sure they go, don't wait as long as I did.

Very cozy welcoming place to have the most wonderful pizza, from the bread to toppings, everything is great. The staff is super friendly and full of passion for this business. This is the place we will definitely visit on regular basis whenever we are craving for some pizza!

So far this is the most authentic pizza restaurant in New Zealand, especially having eaten pizza in Napoli. We had very delicious pizza and we look forward to eating at That’s Amore again!

Really enjoyed it, pizzas were awesome, the atmosphere was cosy and welcoming and the service was top notch. Only wish there was a little bit more of a pasta selection. Overall would recommend it.

What an amazing pizza! Delicious base in authentic Italian style. The environment with Italian music of all genres also complements the experience. If you're looking for an intimate and romantic place, this is for you. Great service and affordable prices. Certainly will be back when amazing pizza is required in Auckland.

So good. Easily the best, most authentic delicate, quality pizza in NZ. If you are an untravelled "franchise pizza fan" then you won't understand.

Came here with a first table voucher. Ordered one small pizza each (had the solo carne, voghera and the quattro stagioni) and a lasagna. The lasagna could be saucier. But the pizzas were lovely, especially recommend the voghera and the solo carne. I absolutely loved the base. Very authentic. Recommended to those who are looking for a taste of authentic italian pizza. Service was gracious and friendly.

That's Amore is definitely on my favorite food place list. Highly recommended if you would like to try authentic Italian pizza. The atmosphere and ambience is so Italian. All the staff are friendly and attentive. Worth coming to try and becoming regular customers. AMAZING:)

Picked this place due to the proximity of my hotel and the high ratings. It is in no way funky or modern, and it doesn’t matter, because the food is AMAZING. The pizza would have to be one of the best I’ve ever had, my only regret, is not going back sooner for dinner to try the spaghetti, their pasta is made fresh every morning, and baked in a pizza oven, if I could give this place a 10 I would, best pizza in Auckland!

Order 12 Salami e Fungi was expecting Salmai on it but no Salami?? Only moved on to metropolis recently been there a few times, previous pizza were very good so this was disappointing was going to take it back but alert level 3 - contacted me back which was good and offer a replacement pizza. As I mentioned before other pizzas I had from here were good.

It may not look very appealing from the street but if you skip this restaurant you will regret it! They have an absolutely amazing pizzas, proper pizzas which you can eat in Italy. We will come back for sure!

Absolutely excellent! Authentic Italian pizza with fresh bubbly pizza base and fresh toppings. Claudio was so friendly and inviting, service was rapid, and the pizzas were absolutely delicious. Haven’t had pizzas this good in years. We had the Capricciosa and the Alla Romana (white pizza) and highly recommend both.

You can tell from the smell as you enter that this is place is quality. The pizza are delicious & the service friendly and attentive.

Last Saturday night my wife and I went to this amazing little gem in the Auckland CBD. I wasn’t expecting much but I was totally blown away! Their pizzas are one of the best pizzas I ever had. Great atmosphere, interior, very nice and welcoming staff, in other words all you need in one cool place. Thank you for great evening. We will definitely come back again!!!

Fantastic food, very appropriately styled music, lots of character in such a small space. Would definitely recommend both their pizzas and calzones. There aren’t too many tables, so do be aware that if they’re busy, you may not get a table. Can’t really say as I’ve never been there at a peak hour, but that would be a shame.

Small but popular Italian restaurant just off Queen Street with small 9 inch pizzas and regular 12 inch pizzas for around 10-20 NZD each. The pizzas were superb, and washed down with a cold limoncello digestif. Perfect!

Best pizza in AKL. Gorgonzola e Pere is a must also, its tiramisu. Everything is just delicious plus the service, it’s the best!!!

Fabulous pizzas with that authentic Neapolitan quality of being crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, even in a lovely thin pizza base. Delicious pasta dishes, sauces to die for and beautiful fresh salads - prepared with love. Very friendly and welcoming staff, and fast service in a cosy atmosphere. A lovely little piece of Italy on the other side of the globe. What a find; right underneath the flat where we were staying, but absolutely worth a trip across town if you’re further away.

Expectations were high because of the 4.7 stars average. The pizza was ok... Just disappointed a little because of high expectations due to rating of the restaurant. Doug was good but toppings a bit average unfortunately.

Best pizza in Auckland with great classic flavours and a brilliantly crispy thin base. They never disappoint. Made the mistake of going to their competitor "Proper Pizza" the other day (That's Amore was closed for the public holiday) and realised just how much better That's Amore is than the competition. Personal favourites are the toto, margherita extra, and gorgonzola and pear pizzas.

What a hidden gem! All the time I've been in Auckland, never have I heard of nor seen this place, until recently. I believe there are only two staff members but they're efficient and friendly. The variety of pizzas offered is vast and calls for more visits to try them all. P.s. check out their desserts if there's some space left in your puku!

I've eaten a lot of pizza, this is one of the best pizza restaurants I've been to anywhere. Very authentic Italian style pizza, thin bases with good quality toppings and lots of choices. It's a small place with only a few tables, but it was comfortable with two of even though busy, and service was fast and very efficient. Good selection of vegetarian pizzas on the menu which are clearly marked - not just one token option, which was nice.

As it says on the website, the dough is the most important part of the pizza. Definitely for a Neapolitan pizza. So of course I came in with some expectations and the pizza totally lived up to those expectations. Not only was the dough good but it came together very well with all the ingredients. It wasn't very big so I got my pizza very quickly. It is as said by others almost a sort of hidden gem. It doesn't look like much, but don't let it deceive you. I can really advice checking it out.

Just went there and got the Amore pizza. No taste of any truffle oil. Charged us for a regular size and served the small. still tasted good but the taste doesn't match the price. Amazing crust though **UPDATE** after the owner invited me back for another experience the pizza was what I had hoped for. Rich in all of its toppings and I was shown that i just happend to have a rare experience where a few understandable mixups were made. Thank you for the delicious meal

The head waiter gave exceptional service, walking with me to help carry the 12 pizzas I ordered voluntarily of no extra cost. Lovely service and the pizzas taste authentic; simple and very Italian in the sense that they use quality house-made ingredients. Highly reccomend!

A very solid 5 stars. Some of the best pizza in... the world! I've had pizza in Napoli and plenty of other places and this is right up there. Not to mention a cosy little atmosphere and Claudio the owner is right there making magic happen. I come here all the time and it's hard to believe I'm only now leaving a review. Outstanding.

The pizzas here are SO GOOD! Would give them a 5 except that we go there as a largish group from work (5 - 9 ish people), and our pizzas come in twos (we assume the oven fits 2 pizzas?) meaning the first people are often well finished before the last people get theirs. Even so, I'd actually give 4.5 if half stars were a thing, cause the pizzas are well worth the somewhat disjointed eating experience. And if there is just two of you, it's perfect 🙂.

Great pizza, a bit hard to find. Recommend the white pizza with basil pesto. Toilets a bit wierd. Keep it simple and they do an awesome thin crust. Wine selection good enough and beers were cold.

Absolutely adore the Aostana (mushroom & truffle oil) pizza. The staff are very friendly and the selection is really wide. It has become a favourite for my family of pizza lovers. (The lunch deals are very good, and I always regret forgetting this when I'm there for dinner and see the poster again)

Tiny little place with an 80s vibe. The pizza was really good! They need to dim the lights a bit to allow atmosphere to enhance the shabbiness rather than make it stand out. I'd actually paint the ceiling a darker colour of this was my place. Also - this place is hard to find. But this is just my kind of place: a hidden gem with a cheesy 80s style, paired with excellent pizza! Delicious and funny.

Best pizza in town and amazing dessert. Service was solid.. this place has multiple pizza awards and an authentic Italian chef was firing up the ovens. Your girlfriend will love you for it

Had a small pizza named That's Amore; funnily enough even though it had the same name as the restaurant it wasn't starred as the chefs recommendation, nevertheless it was super delicious and filling. The pizza dough here are made with a two-stage sourdough process that takes approximately 48hrs. I felt good after eating it (am non-coeliac, gluten sensitive). Really happy, will come back to try some of the other pizzas.

Was looking for a good Italian Pizza to have to dinner and we found That's Amore on Google. We went there and found Claudio, he was the friendliest and nicest person ever. Amazing pizza true to authentic Italian tastes. A refreshing change from the typical American pizzas seen nowadays. Highly recommend the pizza named after the restaurant. The reason it loses a star is that it's cramped and the "Italian" drink options are really just artificial drinks that taste average at best.

Absolutely the best pizza in Auckland, no question about it. If you're a pizza addict like me & want authentic Napoletana pizza, I promise you That's Amore is where you need to go. 40+ different variations of pizzas means there is pizza for everybody's taste buds. I've travelled extensively through Italy and I can honestly say this pizza is just as good, if not better than the pizza I ate in Milano, Florence & Torino. The owner Claudio is very down to earth and loves what he does. He appreciates bringing his divine cuisine & culture to New Zealand all the way from Italy. The prices for everything are also extremely affordable. You can really tell the restaurant cares more about the quality of the food & experience for the customer over anything else. The wine is all from Italy as well (please try the Lambrusco) & costs much less per glass than you will find anywhere else in NZ, I guarantee that.

Very nice Pizza restaurant. Only seats about 18 people, but that adds to the atmosphere. Reasonable price. It's not easy to find but worth looking for. We asked at students accomodation and they told us.

A fantastic, authentic pizza parlour, one of the few in Auckland.

Wonderfully friendly manager who added Christmas cheer to our girl’s xmas dinner and the food was delicious as always!
