A.Went here for Valentines dinner tonight and really enjoyed sitting out on the deck. Food was nice and staff were friendly. Would come back.
S.My mum had her wedding reception here. The owners were lovely and went out of their way for us by decorating the table and reserving an area for us, which was outstanding since we were here on on a public holiday. The food was absolutely delicious and everyone was thoroughly impressed with both the service and the food. I particularly enjoyed the pork belly, which was cooked to perfection. The price per head was an absolute steal for the quality of food. I could not fault anything on the night and would definitely recommend anyone hold their function at The Attic. I will happily continue to support this local business :)
C.Really good, relaxed place for a pint and a bite. A pub type vibe, but with good food and service on top. They have a nice happy hour (seven dollar prosecco, 5-7pm). I was keen for a spot out on the balcony but they were all taken when I arrived. The super attentive staff named it for me as soon as it became free. If you get the balcony table nearest town you'll have sun well into the evening.
J.My daughter and I had dinner at the Attic and the burgers were wonderful and the owner happy to accommodate my taste buds. It has to have the best view in Mission Bay, very friendly and helpful service, full bar and our burgers were delicious! The entrance is a little tired but well worth the stairs. We will be back!
G.A lovely Sunday afternoon lunch. Great views across Mission Bay reserve and very friendly staff. The pork bites to start were exceptionally tasty. The pork ribs tender and a huge plate. All in all a lovely lunch.

M.I really recommend The Attic. It is rare to find somewhere to eat out where a Coeliac can eat knowing that seperate fryer is used and they are truly gluten free. Good on you! I was lucky enough to win a free competition and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try some of the gf food. It was cooked very quickly, not long after they opened. I did enjoy that I could sit on the beach and eat fish and chips.. As a coeliac it's a kiwi experience I miss! I don't want to complain about the food as it was a freebie, but I was disappointed that the chips were few and mostly undercooked. There were 3 small pieces of fish that were very very oily but tasted good. The small pot of sauce.. Was warm and clearly hadn't been refrigerated as it was starting to seperate. Otherwise I was really okay with the whole experience, it was friendly and they're doing well on the GF front so I'd try them again for sure! When we get to level 2?
R.love the lamb shank generous portions! and chicken fettuccine however we didn’t enjoy the starters that much (polenta & rosemary chips, pork belly bites) as they’re lacking flavours we should have just ordered mains..great location if you’re sitting upstairs with the views of the road and beach however it can get too busy if you’re not quick to grab your preferred table..staff are friendly and attentive..would love to go back again

T.Date night so decided to hit this restaurant up as it's close to home. First impression was nice & cozy. They sat us in a quiet intimate area just around the side they were full with a birthday party at the front and a few larger groups scattered around.
The service was friendly and we ordered a couple of starters fish cake, and honey glazed halloumi they both were ok not out of this world fantastic.
We ordered for our mains the TBone with red wine butter & sauteed seasonal greens plus the Gourmet steak and smoked cheddar pie. Both the dishes were amazing, tasty and the quantity was huge.
We also ordered the caesar salad with grilled fish very complimentary to the meat dishes.
Finished off the night with the cheese cake plus apple pie dessert very good finisher to a big meal. Would definitely visit again.

T.3rd time here. Menu has changed alot over the years. Enjoyed the chilled vibe, would have been good to have some of the old sharing platters that were once served.

T.The Attic Bar & Restaurant in Mission Bay was the perfect pick for enjoying an alfresco lunching experience on a gorgeous Spring afternoon.
Staff was super friendly, engaging and hospitable with showing us the the balcony with Mission Bay stretch views whilst suggesting other seating options.
For lunch, we ordered the prosciutto wrapped chicken, Scott fillet with mustard butter and lam shank accompanied by crisp glasses of Pinot Gris and a Pinot noir.
The meals were delicious and the entire dining experience was relaxing and most enjoyable.
Highly recommended!

G.The Attic literally feels like being inside a better version of your own home because, idk about you, but I don't have a well stocked bar and a group of always approachable servers willing to chat in my living room haha. It's become our new go-to spot for watching the ABs on TV because we can have so many people around one set, and in some pretty loungy chairs at that. Overall there is definitely a decently classy feel to it all due to the tables, plate ware, staff and more, but don't let that you be discouraged from coming bc everyone is definitely welcome. For those not interested in seeing the TV, there's a nice outdoor balcony facing the trees and water too.
J.I'm not sure what to make of the take away I ordered tonight.
The chicken fetticcuni was AMAZING, awesome flavour, great amount of cheese. Loved it.
And the duck fat chips are brilliant! Definitely recommend the.c
The rest was a little disappointing. We ordered the sliders and only got 3 rather small sliders. I felt like there wasnt enough sauce for them.
We got coleslaw which also didnt have any sauce on it which does make it underwhelming.
So overall a mix of brilliant and a bit sub par. But definitely would like to try the other dishes.
T.Some of the best food I've ever eaten, Had the grilled chicken burger. For the price it was a steal, the chicken was juicy, seasoned well, and the bun toasted to perfection. Will definitely come back soon to try some more of what their menu has to offer. The waiter's where polite and the food was made fast.
A.Upstairs looking over Mission Bay Beach,, we spent a lovely evening relaxing here. Will and Sam who were looking after our table were attentive, smiling and efficient, managed very well with a full Restaurant and Bar of diners and bar patrons. Definitely come back here, enjoyed the ambience and the bonus of a lovely evening view!

C.I am changing my review as I have spoken with the owners and I am very pleased with how things have been handled. They where very understanding professional and approachable about what happend. We where booked in to eat but Unfortunately some personal things come up and then covid has also hit us again so will re book when we are down a few levels. Can't wait to try out the delious looking menu.

S.This place is awesome. The Food is amazing. The staff are amazing. The place itself is set up really well. I highly recommend. You are punishing yourself if you deny yourself the tasty ribs.
M.Great bar in the summer time. Enjoy a beer on the balcony overlooking Mission Bay. We have never eaten here so cannot comment on the food. If the balcony is all taken the inside of the bar is very dark so we usually try somewhere else. There is live music there some days too.
S.Friendly wait staff, nice atmosphere, good music selections and food was amazing nothing to complain about, even got a nice space by the fire place. Would definitely recommend going here if your looking for some where to have a nice meal or even just a couple of drinks with friends after work or before hitting the town.

b.We went for starters rather than mains because there were several interesting options. Polenta chips were crisp from outside and fluffy inside. Pork belly bites were melt in the mouth with cracking crackling. :) Shrimps dish has three tiger prawns and a few prawn cutlets. Had a spicy marinade and were cooked to perfection. The karaage chicken was as expected. Generous portions, friendly staff. The restaurant looks out on Mission Bay promenade so good ambience. Our bill was nzd 64, paid nzd 48 with the Entertainment Book discount. Fabulous. Definitely recommend.

H.We visited lastnight and were were greeted by friendly staff, served by a lovely waitress and ate very yummy food.. Shared a platter and added on some extras without disappointment. We left after lot's of laughs, good wine and full belly's! A lovely young man settled our bill with a lovely manner. Beautiful atmosphere, loved the fireplace too.. If you are looking for somewhere that ticks all the boxes this is it!!

G.The location is superb, seating on the balcony is an awesome summer evening treat of its own. We ordered the mussels and beef burgers. The mussels were fab! The beef burgers were tasty, however the presentation just looks like high end takeout on a plate. Suggest garnish or small salad would make it more appealing. Lastly, live music in a restaurant is too loud. People come to eat and chat, not possible with a loud solo musician. That's a thing for a different venue. Otherwise, the staff were attentive, maybe too attentive, but an OK experience so don't get me wrong...my 3 stars is for my opinion. You try it.

R.Chose this place for my birthday on the 25th of February 2021.
Let's start with the important stuff; the food is top notch! My family gave the place a 10/10 for the food alone and they're a picky bunch.
The vibe is cool and relaxed. Old fashioned decor, like a good ol Pub but also modern with a great view as the restaurant is situated on the top floor.
Most important part for me was the service. The owners (kiwi couple) served our table and by golly the service is absolutely amazing. We joked, we bantered, had good laughs. They explained the menu very well, offered alternatives if things ran out on the menu and were eloquent the whole time.
I didn't have a birthday cake but the husband owner bought one out for me anyway, candles and everything. What a great experience!
The Attic is quite hard to pinpoint, especially if you've never been there before. The entry is a narrow flight of stairs in between two restaurants so you've probably passed the place a few times without knowing it was there. I know I have!
But don't pass this place up, book it out. Support your local cause they're pretty damn good.

The food is lovely and very tasty and a decent portion while nicely displayed. We had a great dinner for our Anniversary 😊. We will definitely go back and recommend to our family and friends.
D.The food here is so good! Just about the entire menu is gluten-free, so it means that you don’t stand out requesting something special. There are also plenty of meat-free options. The Attic is definitely in my top three Mission Bay restaurants. Why only 4 stars and not 5? Sitting by the open bi-fold doors we were all enjoying a lovely evening summer breeze. But unfortunately 3 or 4 people were sitting on the balcony smoking. It is the same every time we visit The Attic. Surely it’s time to ban smoking anywhere near people eating? Only these few people get to enjoy sitting on the balcony, whereas the rest of us have to sit inside so we don’t choke on the toxic fumes.
T.They make the best Ribs, and it is so worth the money you pay for. The portion also is generous, which is why I love this place. I always tell everyone and bring my family up from Wellington to this place!!!! Just awesome vibes and such a kick back spot 😍😍😍😍
E.Vegan dumplings were seriously delicious! Also vegan risotto. Side vegetables (char grilled Brussel sprouts) also yummy. Relaxed atmosphere - good for a quiet dinner, group dinner or casual drink with friends. Few outdoor tables with stools provide views of tamaki drive. Good service. Will definitely return.

We had a longer than expected wait for our meals. If you are hungry I recommend ordering sides as the meals where sparce. But they deliver a healthy plate.

K.I sent my in-laws on a date here and wanted to pay for their meal in advance. The manager made it so easy and took such good care of them while they were there. My in-laws had nothing but amazing things to say and said the food was incredible (I agree, I've dined many times and it is amazing). Thank you for taking such good care of my in-laws and giving them a great experience.
R.Cute and unique decor, love 'the attic' vibe, food was great, just needed a bit more marinade on the chicken nibbles and placement of garlic bread on seafood platter meant that the bread became soft and was moist to eat. Disappointed last time as menu was different to the online one and my kids coulded get their favorite any more. when we asked to have it cooked chef said no. Hope next time will be better. My advice to the attic is if you change your menu in the restaurant also change your online one to.

P.This is a lovely place located in Mission bay. Good vibes with dynamic music. The ambience made us cheerful. Greeting staff. We had crumbled camembert and pork belly bites as entree. Both of them were very tasty. Pork belly was well cooked with crispy crust, while still juicy. Then Chargrilled sirloin was tender and yummy, side of fries are also delicious. Tomato and soft herb risotto came with two fresh asparagus. The tomato flavor was too overwhelming. Would be nice if less tomatoy. A lovely place to chill out with friends on weekend. Will be back again.
A.Great position especially if you can find a seat on the balcony. We went Saturday afternoon and it was empty. Strange!!! Service a bit of a disaster. I think the girl at the bar was new and had been given no training.
