Go to Shucker Brothers. The service was great, the waitresses were SO MUCH FUN, the food was served so quickly that it surprised my partner and the food itself was just perfection. Try the specials whenever they have them. We had this buttery, spicy crayfish ravioli that was just beyond amazing! The way the butter would kind of get soaked up into the pasta to get to the beautiful crayfish bundle of goodness inside and the spice would provide a lovely kick and excitement to the dish was just beyond words. But then the butter would help to sooth some of the spice made the dish feel so comforting. The crayfish ravioli was the best dish I have had in a very long time. Definitely recommend the oysters (of course; so fresh and the mignonette was beautiful), kingfish crudo (loved the balance of the fruits with the fish), mussels (that broth. So good.) and the other special they had that night, scallops (so pillowy soft and beautiful) The Shucker Brothers didn’t hit it out of the park, they hit it out of this planet. I’ll be seeing you every time I come to Auckland for sure. (I miss you crayfish ravioli).

Cute spot for a drink. The oysters were nice and fresh but not perfectly shucked, I was getting a bit of shell. The rest of the food was pretty good, particularly the mussels - the menu overall is more bar style food but a bit more elevated.

Absolutely blown away by this place and can’t wait to come back with my parents, my Dad will love it! Fantastic service from all of the staff, very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was totally divine. The smoked kahawai croquettes were sooo delicious, as were the soft shell crab sliders! The seafood linguine was totally moreish and the fish n chips were lovely and fresh, the chips had a yummy seasoning to them. Fabulous selection of drinks on offer too 🥂

Wonderful service, and even better food. Once we orderd, food was on our table in minutes. Amazingly fast service and a high quality too. As I said, food was even better, great teaste and colorful texture. So amazing. It made me feel like I was in Europe. Only thing that was not perfect is when on menu is stated salad is in the meal it is not explained that it is a crisp salad, but that is really not a big deal. A+ experience.

We had a lovely dining experience at this cosy little restaurant. Service was excellent and the food was lovely. For entrees we ordered the pantagonian prawns, octopus, and cerviche. For mains, we had the crab linguine and seafood chowder. Everything was delicious and went well with their tasty mulled wine.

Fresh, creamy and plump is the best way to describe the oysters.... the ceviche is also superb. Don't be put off by thinking that it's going to be too spicy with the jalapeños, it delivered just the right hint of spice to wake your taste buds up.

I dunno, just not feeling the same wow that the other patrons have expressed. From a place called the shucker brothers I would have expected perfectly shucked oysters. We got one with a bit of shell and grit and one that frankly looked chewed up. The vinaigrette was just basically straight vinegar and overly tart. My new favourite Auckland restaurant! Fantastic food, and really great service too. Would particularly recommend the trevally ceviche and the king crab linguine, and of course the oysters. Sit outside if the weather is good!

Went on a chilly weekday night and had the most divine seafood experience. We had a seat at the kitchen counter and enjoyed watching food being prepared as well as banter with the kitchen staff! Delicious food, served beautifully. Highly recommended!

Super friendly staff and amazing food. I had the bluff oysters and they tasted delicious with the home made sauce and lemon. The beer is more or less mediocre. I tried a couple of drafts from New Zealand, but I guess they are not very good at making beer in general. But to be honest-this is some cultural stuff which you have to get into (and beer should not taste the same in every place, right?)

At first glance, they're already winning. Has a lovely contemporary/ old school oyster bar feel. The staff are incredibly friendly and inviting without being pushy at all. We sat right at the bar and had our oysters shucked right in front of us- first time for me and i was completely impressed. The shucking was done very quickly and very precisely, during the whole process our waiter held conversation with us and not boring “weather talk” either. It was all around fun, and extremely delicious. Te Matuku oysters, in season- true bliss. Fat juicy creamy oysters with nothing but a squeeze of lemon, how could u go wrong. We also tried the grilled prawns and yeat again found ourselves absolutely having a ball ! the char on these prawns were brilliant ! Yet the flesh was exquisitely tender and sweet. The sauce that accompanied just tied the whole the dish together. Zero complaints. Lastly we had their octopus dish paired with onions and kale. Again a lovely a marriage ! the octopus was not only tender but and overall pleasing texture in the mouth. These were tentacles served with the suckers on which only added to the dish ! Possibly a little too much paprika for our liking but again a lovely dish. Its rare to find an establishment that serves excellent fresh food with winning service but here at Shucker Brothers, you will get exactly that. Excellent food and absolutely lovely service! we would have stayed all night had we not had made other plans. If youre in Auckland during the oyster season i HIGHLY recommend trying this place out !

Serene Seaside Scene The fare is super fresh and reasonably priced and leaves you feeling rejuvenated, invigorated and replenished pre or post ocean/ferry/island adventure. The service speaks volumes of fun and consummate professionalism coupled well. Will return with many legions for sure 😌🤙🏼❤️

*thumbs up up up for oysters* !!!We went there because we saw there was an advertisement saying buy 1 free one oyster, (advertised by other party but not them), but apparently there was no any deal like this going on. We order a dozen of oysters and few other dishes to share and THEIR OYSTERS ARE SOOO FRESH and cold, not always an oyster person but I chewed and swallowed 3, saying that I can taste the ocean is not even an exaggeration haha.

Love this place - great spot for a drink or eats or both or just drinks (which is what my friends and I prefer). Waiters are really friendly and chatty and the drinks are great. Nibbles are good too (as is the location). I've only sat inside twice because outdoor seating is where it's at for me. May need to sit inside during winter though!

Accordingly to Googlemaps reviewers, this is the best food in Auckland. I couldn’t agree more and that’s the reason I always search Googlemaps when I want to find some special place. Amazing food, service, view and vibe. Reasonably priced. Absolutely wonderful and I recommend you don’t miss this place when visiting beautiful Auckland!

Awesome place for oysters and fish tacos and mussels. The mussels are incredible. Next time I’m just getting the mussels with butter and garlic and several pieces of bread to dip in the broth. Costs about 15 American. The mussels are gigantic. Biggest I’ve ever seen.

Wow. I just popped in for some takeaway chips today. One staff member waiting tables & serving behind bar (it's only a small restaurant) & how good was he? Talk about on point, laid back, EXCELLENT service. Made me feel so welcome even though my order was small. As for the chips - bloody lovely & a decent portion too. Really, really enjoyed myself here. The service was IMPECCABLE and staff were so friendly. I had the King crab linguine and calamari, both were divine. Also, their kumara bread is out of this world. I'd literally go daily just for that bread!

Just got back home from an amazing Mother's Day dinner. There was a bit of a mix up with our reservation but was solved on the spot by the host/manager (Waiheke dude w/ cool red beanie). We were told that because of the small mix up that they weren't expecting anymore reservations that night and that they were already in the process of closing the kitchen. Being a worker in hospo myself, I definitely understand the struggle of having unexpected guests come in as you're in the middle of closing the venue and have them order a sh*t tonne of food but nonetheless, from the moment we walked in we were treated with nothing but the best service and even though we ordered like a 100 things and maybe forced them to open up their kitchen again we were still served with just amazing food (to say the least). The food was amazing, the ambiance of the venue was spectacular, the staff were nothing but absolute f*cking legends for pulling through for us, and finally of course my mum left the restaurant with a full belly and just THE best time. To the Host/Manager that served us, 3 things.. 1. Really hope you got your ferry home lol. 2. That fit you was rocking, the red beanie with the blue shirt... just str8 fire.🔥 3. The oysters. Probably the best fish burger I have ever had. Not really a meal though, more a lunch time snack as it is rather small and comes with no sides. However, perfectly made with just the right pickles, mayo etc. all in a brilliant brioche bun. The venue is ideal at the beautiful ferry terminal. Only negative is price, as good as it was, due to the size and no fries this is a burger for you if paying over the odds doesn't matter to you so that you can have the experience of the best fish burger ever.
