Holy Mother of baby Jesus, this was a delight to all the senses!!
The view was stunning, the waiters were bomband the food is divine.
Not that kind on the wallet, but so worth it for a special occasion.
Highly recommend 👌

The team were amazing. Fish was a little bit over cook but its countered by the other flavors found in the dish. Overall chill vibes. Food was okay and staff were accommodating.

Delightful experience with a beautiful view of the Harbour Bridge. It took us around 3h to complete our meal, but time flies when you're having fun, aye? All dishes had a variety of flavours, colours, and textures. You can see effort has been made to maximize the effect on our taste buds and overall eating experience. The wine pairing was beautifully done with each wine really complimenting the flavours of the food. I think the big winner here was the Hapuka dish paired with the Huia Sauvignon Blanc - outstanding! The beef was also perfectly cooked medium rare and super tender. The prawn-based amuse bouche was extremely moorish. One of the snacks was a deep-fried lamb ball which, for someone who dislikes lamb, was quite delicious! Overall a great experience with friendly staff

What an honour to have dine at the Sugar Club for the first ever time in our life for my birthday. The customer service was exceptional and the team went above and beyond in making sure our experience was an awesome one. From the moment we walked in, to ensuring we had a window seat, to the detailed explanations of the exquisite food, to checking up on me and my mum, to the amazing food . What a privilege , what an honour - thanks so much once again team!!

Excellent. The service and food were wonderful. An absolute delight and a great special evening out for any couple. My partner and I loved it. Highly recommended. We had the plant based option for two. So good.
R.
Fancy place, excellent customer service, delicious food, and outstanding view. I like everything about this restaurant. The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. The ambience is perfect for a night out with your date or when you want to give your family a brilliant fine dining experience. Check this place out and you won’t be regret !
C.
Great view and dining environment, average high-end fine dining taste for the pricing. It’s a great place for celebration and special event. However, the service would be improved.
K.
Our first visit to Sugar Club and to be honest, it exceed all expectations. Our server was incredible and went out of the way to cater for dietries.
The service, staff and food/drinks were 10/10. Also, not a bad view ;-)

My wife and I came here as our "splurge" dinner during our honeymoon in New Zealand and we will remember it forever. The food, the views, the service, and the atmosphere were all top notch. Although the price is... shockingly high, the tasting menu with the wine pairings was absolutely worth it. The chef himself, Peter Gordon, brought out our main course. Cocktails are also very good here.
전.
Delicious 79$ 3 dinner course with Kumara bread and lemon butter!
Mushroom risotto was so nice, snapper was so soft and tinder, I don’t like passion fruit but the passion fruit sorbet of the sugar club was changed my mind!
I’d go back here again if I can

Would say 3.5 stars, but I am feeling generous today.
View = amazing. Obviously!
Service = Really good!
Food = Average....
Small portions. The entrees were probably the best meals of the night (Octopus and the Crayfish Linguine)
The mains we had were the duck and the lamb and they were good, but nothing stood out about them.
The desserts were pretty normal as well.
I think i expected more and went home slightly hungry still.
3.5.

The views from the Skytower pales in comparison to the views in the dining area here. The views here through the crystal clear glass was incredible and gives a nice ambiance to the restaurant.
We came here for restaurant month so we were able to get dinner for lunch prices. The service was top notch right from entry, being taken care of without being overbearing.
the pace of the meal was quite slow but enjoyable. The food itself was really well prepared and delicious. The Ora king salmon was melt in the mouth tender. I really liked the chicken fat fish with the chicken crackling and tasty coconut foam. The vegetable side was also nice, I really liked the truffled potatoes. The dessert were also quite interesting, particularly the mandarin one.
Definitely a really nice place for a special occasion or if you are wanting a really decadent meal. Really good service and food.

The Sugar Club serves combinations of ingredients that surprise and please palates. The food is fantastic, and the service is professional, just as expected. Unfortunately, there is a noticeable desperation in forcing orders (or strong "suggestions") unto diners, which quickly became uncomfortable and disgraceful after the first attempt. Serving portions can be questionable, especially given the price of dishes, but I believe they help with presentation. Your wallet will suffer a knockout punch after a meal at The Sugar Club, but the after-party of flavors left in your mouth help convince you that it was worth it.
C.
Just personal opinion here, the flavor of the food are weird to us and a bit pricey. The starter i have been served, i don't really understand if they really meant to serve a corbonised stick to us or the food meant to look like this. the view is aowsome.
S.
Friendly, professional and thoughtful service. The amuse-bouches were a crispy seaweed and a beef (?) tartare tart - both had lovely textures.
The crayfish and pine nuts linguine entree is divine - so creamy and flavoursome! The lamb was tender, and the generous serving of duck breast was cooked to perfection.
I celebrated a birthday and the staff acknowledged this with a little sweet surprise at the end of our meal :)
The ambiance is calm, peaceful and of course the spectacular view adds to the grandeur of the space.
Looking forward to another meal.
Merci à tous!
S.
Very good fine restaurant. Great view. Nice service.
L.
Had the tasting menu which was unfortunately hit-and-miss. The venison was a stand-out dish; the octopus appetizer and fish (main) were also excellent. Sadly, the flavour combinations in the duck breast and chocolate dessert (with rhubarb and hibiscus granita) left me feeling confused and underwhelmed.
The restaurant itself is beautiful, with glitzy surroundings, and we had good service. But if you're looking for a fine dining experience, and aren't fussed about having a panoramic view, there are better options in Auckland - including the likes of Sidart, Culprit and Cocoro.
A.
New & drastically improved Menu! A whole new level for New Zealand! 5 stars is an understatement. I want to give more stars if I could!
I have tried the previous menu prior and wasn't a fan. There simply weren't enough "wow factors". When I dine a love the process of being excited, surprised and eyebrows raised every time after my first bite of a new dish. Sugar Club has now achieved this at a whole new level.
Exec Chef Josh Barlow explained the menu, and while dining not only did it feel like hundreds of hours of hard work has been put into coming up with the new menu, I could feel hundreds of miles traveling throughout New Zealand tasting genuine New Zealand ingredients. When my international friends or VIP clients from overseas come over, I would not take them anywhere else but Sugar Club, these dishes make me proud to be a Kiwi.
The view is always amazing, from the minute you step out of the elevator you see the beautiful Rangitoto with colours of the sunset bouncing off, while you enjoy a glass of yummy beverage as your table is being prepared.
We went with the chef's recommendation and continued with the tasting menu. The bread intro with wakame whipped butter was delicious. The crust was crunchy and the center was soft and warm. Made me feel comfortable as if I was already home.
The snacks to start - first of all - shouldn't be called snacks as it felt like another understatement, the presentation of the tasters was full of nature, from stunning pearl rocks, to wood art bark. All with beautiful colours and ingredients. Every bite felt like an adventure. The food does not taste like what the mind expects. So prepare to have a stunned look on your face while your brain processes the flavours and sends signals to your mouth to smile after 5 seconds. Raw beef mayo flower crackers, Crispy Pork Parsley Puree (flavour bursting from left to right), and other ingredients which I have no idea of as it still feels like a dream.
The spanner crab, matched with sweet wasabi, sea herbs, cucumber, pink grapefruit and two types of spinach was exciting, new and fun. I have not tasted anything like this before, extremely refreshing and felt like a ballet exhibition on my palate. I was tempted to lick the plate, luckily my cutlery skills sufficed.
Then came the Periford Truffle, $3500/kg truffle on top of a tasty chicken custard. Allowing the flavours to expand, grow and carry through. Excitement, and eyes wide lit. My wife and I felt young again! So much fun!
Texture of the South Island Monkfish was perfect. There was no way I could even try and replicate this at home. The pumpkin I did not understand. But it didn't really matter at this stage. The sauces needed to be mixed together, bringing out flavours that match one another like magnetic poles.
The Cambridge Duck was prepared to perfection. Pink throughout with crispy skin. So much flavour in this dish, so soft and delicious. I still crave for more duck to this minute.
Wild shot Venison...Let me explain this. If you have ever had an amazing eye fillet that melts. This is it but with an extra gorgeous smokey flavor. The sauce made from bone marrow. No effort was required, as a single motion was enough to cut the meat every time without fail. Extremely impressive, I have no idea how this was made, no way my home sous vide could make anything so tender. Makes me question why even bother have steak when there is something as intriguing as this.
The desserts then followed, the Prune & Armagnac really stood out for me and I love it. My wife loved the fruitiness of the Beans chocolate and treats.
There really isn't much else to say but for you to MUST GO AND TRY. Book on the website today, so you can put it in your calendar as a to do list for the next month. I will be back many more times for sure.
Everyone was friendly, extremely efficiently coordinated like an orchestra and very professional.

My partner and I had a wonderful time - amazing food and gorgeous views! Very attentive service all around, and a big thanks to our waiter Luca. Definitely recommend!

The Sugar Club is a very expensive gourmet restaurant. It is 530 feet above the sidewalk, about halfway up the Sky Tower in Auckland, New Zealand. The Sugar Club is about as high as tourists can go in Auckland without being in an aircraft. It is one floor above the rotating restaurant in the Sky Tower, and it's at the same level as the outside walk and the platform for the people who wish to jump off the tower. I saw someone jump from the tower. It looks like an interesting experience, and since they attach the jumper to a harness, there's enough braking toward the end of the fall that the jumper will probably not be injured by the experience.
Getting back to the restaurant experience, the food tastes very good, but the portions are small and quite expensive. The service is excellent, but our waiter couldn't figure out how to give separate checks to the two couples at our table. Fortunately, the manager was able to deal with the situation to our satisfaction.
S.
Great fine dining experience. Lovely extra dessert was provided for our wedding anniversary!
C.
The Sugar Club delivered an outstanding fine dining experience with exceptional service standards and food that was delicately precise.
The Crayfish Linguine, Hauraki Gulf Fish, and Cambridge Duck Breast were amazing. Perfectly cooked - full of flavour, and with excellent textures. The Hogarth 70% Chocolate was not as good as I imagined, but still better than similar items in other restauurants.
We tried a few different cocktails, and all were really good. Definitely recommend trying the different cocktails available.
J.
Elegant dining room on top of the sky tower with sweeping view of Auckland. The views can’t get better than this. A bit pricy to be honest but the ingredients are of high quality and the dishes are skillfully prepared. The service is tentative also. Note that you do get some free perks for dining here such as getting a chance to see people bungy jumping, you get to go to the sky deck of the tower for free, and you get some discount on parking. Enjoy!
E.
This is my go-to place to bring friends who are visiting Auckland for drinks. The service is always top quality. Tasty drinks and you get the best view of the city!
J.
Great food, wine selection, service, and the view is fantastic. We'll definitely be going back to treat ourselves. A wonderful experience.
T.
Selected the tasting menu which was superb, the staff had a great knowledge of the plates they were serving, each course was a delight. Going with the tasting option gave us the opportunity to sample the dishes we wouldn't ordinarily select. Learnt some fantastic new palate and flavor mixes. The head chef visited us and personally grated the fresh Christchurch Truffle which was amazing. All in all we can't fault the experience. Pricey yes but well worth it. Sorry the food pictures don't do the meal justice.
s.
What an amazing place. The views are breath taking. I absolutely love the place. Th food was awesome. We tried a lot of things and they were all superb. A little on the expensive side but totally worth it. Th cocktails were fabulous. Highly recommend. Excellent experince
N.
An absolutely enjoyable experience! Beautiful decor, awesome views of Akl city & the harbour bridge lights. We ordered from the 3 course a la carte menu but we were served complimentary dishes in between each course it made us feel like we'd had the 7 course degustation menu. Food was unique with an amazing combination of colours, textures & flavours & even the mocktail we ordered was full of flavour. Left our taste buds tantalised & satisfied! Planning to go again. Well done Sugar Club👍
T.
Great views. Excellent service.
They have vegetarian options like chick peas and sourdough if you are after bar bites. They also do a very reasonable pre 7 pm happy hour deal. The deal is nzd 25 for a glass of Moët + 6 oysters. Not a bad deal. Good wine collection, slithly on the dearer side but up at level 53 you do pay for the view. This includes entry to the sky tower viewing deck thus if you combine the experience it’s worth your while. Min. Spend for bar seating is nzd 30 per person.
C.
Such a luxurious and elegant restaurant with flair and artistic palette! Most plates were very extravagant and enjoyable, minus one (the venison) which i found too busy. But overall loved everything else. Highly recommend for a fancy date, dinner, or occasion. The staff were very helpful and informative. Great experience!

Peter Gordon's original Fusion restaurant has been recreated with a hell of a view in the Skytower, and it's still one of the best nights of food and cocktails you can get in Auckland. It's lost it's old Fusion menu, but now does some of the best of NZ. Nice solid 5 star cuisine. Nothing inventive that will grab you by the throat, but still some of the best fine dining in Auckland.
The dinner is fantastic - everything is good, but splash out for the degustation if you want them to take you on a food adventure - but my favourite thing about the Sugar Club is cocktails and dessert with a view. Coming up on a Friday or Saturday night, you just head up for cocktails or dessert - and your Skytower admission is FREE as your dining/drinking covers it.
Cocktails with a view? Yes please!
S.
The restaurant branded by NZ celebrity chef Peter Gordon. The environment and service reached their class but the taste of meal is not amazing enough. Still a good place to enjoy the Sky tower view and participate some important date. Recommended to tourists.

The Sugar Club up the Sky Tower was an extremely exciting first time dining experience and much anticipated as I’d heard so many positive things about the place. From entering, you’re greeted by an immediate sense of opulence and finery with the cityscape panorama view being overwhelming in the best way possible. Staff service is exceptional and it enhances the experience.
Since we had ordered off a set menu it was exhilarating to anticipate each delicate and splendid plate of food appear and it was an elevated pleasure having the interim item like the palate cleanser, amuse bouche and bread be served. Each dish I ordered was simply exquisite and most satisfying from the crayfish linguine to the pork belly. I was in heaven and hope to return soon. Highly recommended!
J.
Food was nice and as expected for the price, nothing overwhelming. Service was fair to above average. My biggest gripe, especially when dining alone (as was the case this time), is that you order a 150ml glass of wine and it would be lucky to be 90ml at best. The second glass was even smaller than the first. 4 stars is probably generous but I'll live with that because of the view.
i.
Enjoyed the food, the view and lovely service from the highest restaurant in NZ. The only downside was the amount of people constantly walking outside, unsure if they are an amusement for the diners or the other way round😂
H.
The last time I visited this restaurant I had an amazing meal and experience. I was looking forward to revisiting the restaurant but was disappointed. My main course, the duck was ok but the cauliflower was raw and there was a lack of the orange and other flavours. I did receive a reduction to my bill. The main problem was a group of rowdy people screaming with laughter the whole time I was there. I asked to be moved but not far enough from the ear splitting noise. I noted other dinners asked to be moved too. I could hardly hear what the wait staff were saying. I don't have any problem with people enjoy their evening but not to the extend it spoils other people's. The staffs response was "Well what can you do." I thing the staff could have asked them politely to keep the noise level down. I left with a headache!!
S.
Oh my, fine dining it is.
Good cocktails with a pacific theme make this a great kiwi dining experience. Price will make you want to keep it for a very special occasion.
c.
Delicious food and you can also enjoy the Auckland view while you dine.
Great service and excellent atmosphere.
My favorite is the crayfish pasta entrée.
Also best duck I've had.
M.
Fantastic! From the moment we arrived at the restaurant we were so well looked after and our waiter was so helpful and accommodating. Every item we ordered was of Masterchef quality and the ambience was calm and relaxing, well away from any noise from the kitchen. The dishes came out quickly and were at perfect temperature when they arrived.
We ordered seperately and had our own dishes, starting with a complementary selection of breads we were then given some time to choose our number of dishes. We went with the recommended 3 savoury and 1 desert. The waiter was very helpful with making our selections.
After ordering, we were given a complementary small entree dish to "wake up our palette", it was cured salmon chunks on top of a delicious fresh hummus-like bed.
Then followed our mains, king fish for our first one which was impeccably presented and had all the elements you would expect to hear from a master chef judging session, crunchy, citric, spicy, fresh. Next up was the crayfish on linguine, the linguine was deliciously fresh and creamy and the cray was sitting modestly on top. Then to finish our mains the lamb with a side of potatoes cooked in duck fat. The lamb was sous-vide medium rare which was perfect and had a beetroot sauce and pesto. It also came with gnocchi which was also perfect.
Before the dessert we were given another "palette cleanser" which was like a lemon sorbet very sweet and sour and fresh. We ordered the semi freddo and also the panna cotta. Both were just deliciously divine and not much more to say about these.
Would recommend it to anyone going out for a special occasion. 5 stars!

An unforgettable experience, we came up for two friends birthday and was pleasantly surprised by the adorable Kiwiana theme within all the dishes. The cheeky marmite appetizer was greatly appreciate! The plating was immaculate and if I speak for myself the quail was so tender and the condiments were very distinct and well curated - allowed for much more experimental dining. Scampi dumpling was lovely and the yuzu added a sweet kick. Thanks sugar club for the little birthday surprise bonbons too! The girls felt very spoilt 💕
S.
The food was just more than fine! It was superb and delicious. The view is justspectacular and far better than Burj Khalifa !
S.
Food, drinks, service, view - everything absolutely outstanding! Lunch special is amazing value for money. And if you eat at the Sugar Club you don't even have to pay for the lift!
J.
Wonderful service and fantastic view. Food is also top grade. They were able to present the food well both aesthetically and deliciously. Highly recommend the venison and the paua.
B.
Great views and exceptional service. We had the A La Carte Lunch menu and we were surprised at how much food we actually got. Great flavors and presentation.
K.
I absolutely love this place - delightful ambience with attentive staff who know exactly when to be at table and when to give you space. So many delectable dishes to suit all tastes on this exquisite menu. Degustation is fun and there’s a special menu for the plant-based diners too! The views up here are second-to-none, don’t miss the chance to enjoy a cocktail as the sun sets before dinner, if you can!
W.
Great Spring tasting menu.
Refreshing flavour choices for the seafood selection. Appetizers, desserts and treats are also heavenly.
S.
Sugar Club is an amazing restaurant on the 56th floor of the Sky tower with famous chef Peter Guilmore which we had the pleasure to visit while in Auckland. The food and the service was first class with breathtaking view.We started with Ora King Salmon with oyster cream, green apple and yuzu and Crayfish linguine with te anau saffron and pinenuts. What a start..The salmon was cooked to perfection and the saffron linguine were perfectly cooked and seasoned. We could not fault a single thing on the plate. My main was Hauraki Gulf fish, asparagus, nam him and buckwheat.Incredible white meaty flesh fish similar to monk fish...Amazing.Highly recommend it.My husband had Ashburton beef with kimchi-churri,fennel and gochujung cooked medium rare.Complimenti to the chef. The deserts - stonefruits and chocolate ganache were good but not wow as the entrees and the mains.Overall an amazing experience. Our waiter Adelle with his amazing fine French accent ,manners and knowledge made our experience even better. The whole team starting from the bar staff to the French,Swiss and German waiters where all amazing making our experience unforgettable. We felt very special and looked after.Highly recommended to visit.Worth it.
K.
Great food, great service! Portions are ok but that’s understandable. Drinks also nice. Good place for your special occasions!
C.
I was given a voucher for Sky City and so we decided to go to the Sugar Club for dinner. When booking, I had requested a window table. While they don't guarantee this, it is one of the attractions of dining there. We ended up being seated on the perimeter, which means you get constant traffic (both staff and customers) walking past you. It was a Friday night, and the place was packed. There were some large parties, and as a result the noise level was very loud. We found ourselves yelling at each other at times, to be heard. Service was so so, took a while to order a drink, and over the course of the night we had five different people serve us. We both had an entrée of Gnocchi, which was average, however the mains of duck and fillet steak were very good. Total for 2 people (one who doesn't drink alcohol), was $296.00. For that price, I expect a great experience. With the noise, seating location, average service, it was not that, and I came away feeling disappointed. Certainly wouldn't return.
E.
First of all you have a wonderful view over Auckland and that would be enough. Then you add excellent food in a chic restaurant with a prepared and friendly staff that makes you feel at ease and you have a perfect experience.
J.
Great portion sizes and excellent service. Highly recommended. Appreciate the clever combinations, and culinary skills. Great romantic spot looking over the city.
J.
We went to the Sugar Club for my mother in laws birthday and had a great time! The service by Charlotte and Johan (at the bar) was fantastic!
We had the 3 course menu. I had the beef dishes along with the chocolate desert. It was delicious.
I can’t fault anything about this restaurant or experience. The only comment I would make was that I was surprised to see the large group that turned up with some of the adults wearing casual shorts and runners which I thought was odd for a fine dining restaurant.
C.
Good option to be able to take the standard degustation 7 course menu or build your own based on a range of 18 or so dishes and 4 desserts.
G.
Great dining experience, located in Skytower, great view, but won’t rotate. Like the other restaurant.
T.
It is not only an amazing location and breathtaking view, the food is fantastic, the staff is very professional. Highly recommended, even for just a drink
E.
Staff were attentive water was always topped up and never got to empty. Food was amazing and they brought us a surprise treat at the end
D.
Always an amazing experience. Food is consistently good. Worth the money and time.
A.
Fine dinning with an excellent view of the city! Had the $59 special, two mains with a dessert, was a very satisfying lunch!
S.
Went for the tasting menu paired with the wine selection, the food and wine were excellent! My favorite was probably the scampi! But everything else tasted great too. Had a great window table with a great view of the sunset. The waiters we had were very friendly and hospitable and gave us great service. Would definitely recommend it and go back again :)
A.
On the top of the sky tower - there is the sugar club, a great restaurant, serving delicious food. You should get yourself a reservation and dress better than in everyday life. At good weather you will enjoy a great view on Auckland from high above
B.
Amazing food, spectacular setting, service however could use a master class. It wasn't bad service, just not what you would expect for the calibre of the food and the price.
S.
Always excellent choice for celebration !
Nice food and snacks, breathtaking view of Harbour bridge and city .
R.
Hubby and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary here and were very happy with the food and service. We'll definitely be back ❤️
J.
Lovely experience. Brilliant cocktails and amazing views
M.
You'll come here for the views, which are sensational, even (especially) when Auckland does its chucking down best. You'll get to see dare devils do the sky walk and chuck themselves off the roof. But the best bit, aside from the wonderfully attentive and knowledgable staff, is the great cocktail list, best enjoyed whilst soaking up the view
R.
My partner and I ate at The Sugar Club and were unfortunately very unimpressed. For a fine dining restaurant, the food was below average and of poor quality. It was also freezing because the air conditioning was up very high, and after asking the waiter to kindly turn it down which he did, it came back on a number of times which made for uncomfortable dining. The atmosphere was lacking and the furniture doesn't give off the fine dining feel. We really enjoyed the cocktails however and the waiter was lovely.

My partner and I had a few drinks and nibbles in the bar area of the Sugar Club recently... What a gorgeous spot! Great view, great vibe, great service. We ordered the Charcuterie platter which had a very generous amount of meats and bread on it. A pâté and/ or a bit of cheese added would have made it a more enjoyable platter, but that is really my only criticism.
We'll definitely be back for dinner :)
Y.
Huge fan of The Sugar Club. Have been there 3-4 times now, and each time with a mind blowing experience. The waiting staff is very attentive, my friend was quite hesitant to say anything when her meal was too raw for her to eat, and came and spoke to her when they noticed she was struggling, so she doesn’t need to feel too awkward to give feedback.
I always find that the seafood dishes are more creative than meat, and savoury over sweet. But with the beautiful view, atmosphere and delicious food, I love every moment of it.
Peter has influences from Asian cuisine, and myself being Japanese by culture I often find fusion food unpleasant to eat. But his food is just mind blowing. Using traditional ingredient in the correct and the best way (I.e. broths) and marrying to the European food without losing its delicate flavours.
Highly recommended.
A.
Great place for a special dinner with a fantastic view of the city and surrounding islands.
a.
Expensive but the service and food is perfect. The views over Auckland as the sunsets is also work booking.
J.
I opted for the Tasting Menu with Wine Pairings. The food was exceptional in taste, textures and the presentation and the wines worked well worh the food. The location in the Tower is great and my server Adam was friendly and knowledgeable about the food and the wines. You are allocated 2.5 hours for certain bookings but that was ample time to get through all the courses without rushing. Would definitely go again and would recommend to anyone looking for something a bit special. It's not cheap but it's a great experience.
A.
We enjoyed a superb Friday lunch here today. It really was first rate. The beef was sublime and the deserts incredibly inventive. Who knew that a carrot sorbet could be so delicious? The service was attentive without being obtrusive and of course you couldn't ask for a better view. My first visit but I'll be back.
E.
First class service, amazing view and great food!
M.
This was the most exquisite dining experience I have ever had. The service, staff, food, drinks, experience and venue were faultless accompanied by a spectacular view. The attention to detail was outstanding down to the timing in between courses and always making sure my water glass was full. Highly recommend the tasting dinner menu. Fine dining, fusion food at it's best!
J.
The food was great, but when ordering the plant based plater and the meat plater the third person wasn’t able to order a main and a desert, they had to order the meat or plant based plater. Nothing worse than being told what you have to order when you pay $600 at the end of the night. Not happy about the $80 surcharge either. Won’t be going here again.

What an incredible experience!
Dinning at SC .The presentation of the food , flavors & Service was Outstanding , our Waiter Marcus was French , he took great care of us, he made our evening extra special.
I Highly recommend! Dinning here!
Thank you to the talented Chefs & all the other staff that made our evening special .

A place with a stunning view and menu. Highly recommended (play on Words....)

Great place to come if you like the little finer things in life. Great chefs menu very pricy but worth it. Bare in mind you'll probably still be hungry after but great for a romantic date night. Will come back for sure.
M.
We only had drinks and some olives but what a contrast to the service downstairs! Staff were delighted to seat us and were friendly and welcoming. Olives were great and the cocktails tasty and decently priced. Great art deco style interior and the views added up to a very memorable and unique experience. Thank you ❤️

Had the one of the best dining experiences at Sugar Club. Went with the tasting menu and drink matches and just wow! Along with the amazing food was the amazing service from the wait staff. Definitely recommend this place for whatever occasion you are celebrating, it does not disappoint. And if that's not enough you get a bonus with the fantastic views!!
G.
What an experience! We visited on a whim & only had drinks, but we're so impressed from our afternoon visit that we booked again for evening drinks.
The customer service here is outstanding; Pete thoroughally looked after us during both our visits & we cannot wait to visit again soon. The cocktails are tailor-made if something from the authentic menu doesn't suit - you will not be disappointed! We were also luckily enough to be around for the 'Happy Hour'.
Thank you all for your hospitality, especially Pete. We will be back soon & will booking a dining experience.
B.
Nice food, nice service, best time to go is when Auckland restaurant month is on
G.
With a setting so grand, service so good, and food so delectable, I understand what all the hype is about. Surprisingly, as an ardent meat-eater, I was won over by the exquisite flavour combinations and textures of the vegetables.
C.
Me and my partner was there for our celebration. View was an amazing and so friendly waitress German lady was so attentive and I just love her!. We had three course but it was more than that I expected. So filling and my favorite wine was on the top of menu. I was hesitated what to choose for dessert was absolutely amazing "chocolate "want just chocolate. It wss fijoa and lemongrass icecream. Thx for all of waiters and waitresses. Good team! Wr will come back to Sugar club again. I Love New Zealand.

We were in Auckland and having dined here about three years ago we thought it was worth another visit - unfortunately they were full, so we booked Orbit instead, but we had a short wait so we went up to Sugar Club for a cocktail while we waited. The place has such an amazing feel, view was amazing of course, cocktails delicious and staff friendly. Will get organised and make a booking next time
D.
Essentially flawless. Only thing was vegetarian set menu was great but could have the price adjusted compared to the normal menu. That said the way they were able to make vegetables taste was amazing. Staff, menu and food were exactly on point. It is pricey but well worth it even as a vegetarian I was jealous of my partners menu.
P.
One of the best overall dining experiences in Auckland - great high end food with exceptional friendly service (without being pretentious at all). Cocktails alone are worth going for. As for price this is one of the best value dining experiences in Auckland considering the level of food, service, ambience and of course the views which make for a unforgettable evening. Orbit the other restaurant up the sky tower is very poor by comparison.
E.
Had a special when we went at lunch so you got 2 plates and a dessert for $59. All the food was amazing and the presentation was beautiful. The crayfish linguine was my favourite.
Its a good deal because you also can go up to the observation and sky deck after which saves you the $28 adult admission.
The staff were very friendly and attentive. Well worth the cost of the meal.
B.
Been twice, first time amazing and we looked foward to visiting again. Second visit our server was a bit arrogant, the bar tender even had to request him take our drinks as they sat there so long (we were going to get them ourselves but felt a bit awkward). We were served the wrong deserts even after we enquired if they were what the person had ordered (a bit of a pain when one person hates fruit and the other hates chocolate). Compared to our initial visit we were let down by the snacks (snack i should say as there was only one) and we were told that we must of had the tasting menu the first time round (I dont know how someone can be arrogant enough to believe he knows better a customers previous experience).
Left the second time feeling very sick and after suffered possibly the worst case of food poisoning i have ever experienced, i was knocked out for 3 days unable to eat more than toast which was an awful way to spend xmas.
I dont think we will be back, we will celebrate occasions at Bracu from now on.

We were lucky enough to visit The Sugar Club on Saturday night courtesy of Coast Radio via a competition that I won. I have to say this restaurant could not be more highly recommended. The service was outstanding, the food exquisite and the views fabulous. When we arrived we were seated at the lounge area and offered the cocktail lists, wine lists etc. I decided it would be a treat to have a cocktail but did not like any listed so I asked if they could mix me a creamy cocktail. The bar waiter came out talked to me and ended up making a lovely cocktail for me. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. I was very impressed. Our waiter, the bar staff, everyone was so pleasant and their clear objective was to ensure the dining pleasure of their guests. We are definately returning it is totally fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the opulance of the venue and the professionalism of the staff in every way. Every staff member we walked past as we left wished us a good evening. The staff at the Sugar Club are a credit to the establishment as is the food. Awesome restaurant one I will be recommending to all my friends and family. We will be back!

The food and wine matches are delish. The staff are amazing do tentative. We love this place foe celebrating milestones.
V.
A lovely way to end a night- drinks in the clouds. Access allows you to take in the viewing platform, and enjoy cocktails. Friendly attentive staff who ensure your time is special. We had fun.
L.
Our family celebration at lunch on 12 Oct 2018 was one we will never forget. The service was excellent and the food absolutely delicious. One person in our group had special dietary needs which were accommodated with flair and without fuss. Another member of our group was in a wheelchair and her needs were well catered for. A big thanks to Peter Gordon and the team at The Sugar Club
D.
Degustation. Courses were rushed. Wine glasses weren't filled full... Served food while in the bathroom Fish was dry. Great view, nice ambience. Flavours of some of the foods were great. Bought out special desert for birthday which was good.
D.
We had lunch at the Sugar club on Saturday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was excellent, the service outstanding and the experience as a whole all we could hope for. We would recommend The Sugar Club to anyone seeking a wonderful dining experience. Thanks to all the staff.
C.
Excellent presentation of food, had the degustation menu so the portions are tiny, but after you've eaten them all you feel satiated. Didn't get a table by the window so not much of a view which was kinda the point. Nice selection of cocktails and drinks, premium pricing for everything. Overall it was good, you come here for the stylised food but if that's not your thing there are plenty of places nearby that will trump this. Probably won't come back here, bit like Orbit - once is enough to say you did it.
i.
Great restaurant with amazing every dish
D.
Fantastic service and views. Quality drinks and food.
P.
Great location, excellent service and scenic view from the sit, however not all the courses under the tasting menu met the benchmark at this price, the white raw tendon found in the wagyu hanger beef was chewy I failed swallowing it, the hapuka fish really salty plus the green sause beside was strong as well. One of the final desserts tasted as a mixture of cinnamon(?), bitter, wine and sour, a bit bizarre combination I hardly can appreciate, other people may like tho...
R.
A superb dining experience in every sense. Our party of 4 opted for the five dish menu, which included complimentary bread, with a marmite butter, a selection of 2 other appetisers that were delicate and delectable, and a refreshing palate cleanser of citrus granita and Hendricks and cucumber foam. My wife loved her Negroni cocktails and their Singapore Sling was amazing. Our waiter was kind enough to pair up a couple of glasses of wine to match my courses, and they complimented the food very nicely. I won’t bore with an analysis of each dish. I will just say that each dish was thoughtfully prepared in terms of complimenting flavours, colours and textures, and it all worked! Outstanding service from the front of house team made the whole experience a wonderful treat. Very highly recommended.
K.
Amazing food, service and view. Fantastic catering to all dietary requirements, including vegans. Loved the low CO2 menu/research (had read the article previously). Chose the set menu this time but will be back for the degustation.
j.
After an awful experience in October we were invited back to try a different menu. We waited until December.
What a difference a couple of months make, new chef, new menu. The food was fabulous
D.
Drinks and service was great, staff were very polite and helpful, looking to please. Naturally, a great view but it’s a little tired and needs a Reno! Bring it into the new decade! 4 out of 5 stars from me today.
C.
So we booked in for the 31st by mistake for our 8th year wedding anniversary it was supposed to be the 30th....the lady downstairs managed to squeeze us in and the whole team up in the restaurant went above and beyond to make our anniversary and experience we will never forget. And the food was as outstanding as the service and the final touch was some chocolate writing on a plate with some treats saying Happy anniversary 👌👏❤️ Thank you to the whole team once again.
F.
Good auckland city views from the restaurant.
This is the place you come for the mood/ atmosphere.
For the food, maybe not so much. Two munch and the food are all gone😆. ( Small portioned )
Spent $500 here.
Good customer service.
D.
One of my favourite places to dine in Auckland. Great for a special occasion and an absolute must if you are visiting the city of sails. Uninhibited 360 degree views, outstanding cuisine, great wine and cocktail list. Make the most of your trip and head up to the observation deck for a look before or after dinner. It goes without saying that because of the views best times to visit is just before sunset so you can enjoy the vista before dusk and after.
K.
Great service for sure. The food is bit pricy though!
S.
Thank you Sugar Club for such a special afternoon. You made our anniversary feel so special. Food was incredible, service amazing, the unexpected treats were fab. The views .... felt like we had the best seats possible :) we will define again :)
k.
Beautiful food, fantastic service (and hilarious) . The vegetarian deg was amazing and was actually better than my partner's meat deg (we rated them course by course). Great to get free parking and a ride up the sky tower included.
Shame it is in the Sky City complex and supporting gambling.
k.
This place is pretty good. We tried the vegan degustation, flavours were great, starters and desserts were really nice but unfortunately the main dishes weren't very balanced as there was no protein dish eg. beans/tofu, so essentially what you got was some really nice tasting cabbage.
Also the offering was advertised as vegan degustation with matching wines....turned out that most of the paired wines weren't vegan. They managed to accommodate with other closely matched wines and some cocktails for the dessert dishes, but really if you advertise a vegan degustation, you should really provide vegan wines....
A.
I dined here a few months ago with a handful of my colleagues for dinner. We had a table with a view of the Harbour Bridge and although it was raining it was still spectacular. I remember thinking how delicious the various courses were and I recommend their cocktails. I will return one day!
A.
Went for their lunch deal. Awesome food and an awesome view. Great friendly staff.
D.
Loved the chilli espresso martini that they made specially for us!
Z.
Will definitely be going again. The atmosphere is unmatched, the view to die for, the staff helpful and accomodating (and not snobbish). We went just for desert and drinks but still really enjoyed what we had. The waiter was new and a little unsure of what to recommend but was willing to ask other staff for assistance.
L.
Had dinner here on Saturday, was amazing food of course! And Vanessa at the front was so lovely and accomodating though out
J.
Good place.. tasting menu has good portions.. left decently full.. staff is well trained.. great service.. you get what you pay for
N.
Love The Sugar Club for it's vegan menu, it's our family's go to place for special occasions because there are divine eating options for everyone. The view is particularly special at night when you can see the whole city lit up
L.
Please tell your customers about parking validation (Two Ubers would be cheaper). After tipping the staff 10% of $500, it's the least you could do. Stop patrons wearing hoodies. Lowered the tone slightly.
Apart from that, the food, wine was excellent and staff were knowledgeable and friendly. They deserved 5 stars.
N.
Epic view, and incredible service. That's about it. Foods a bit ho-hum, nothing special. Would be better if the portions were a bit more generous especially if you are paying $135 for a 6 course degustation. Definitely the right place to go for a special occasion but you won't walk out thinking the food was amazing.
K.
Spent the afternoon at a bar table overlooking the city on a beautiful sunny day drinking delicious cocktails and eating great food. Superb service, these guys make you feel special. Thank you!
E.
Had a 3 course meal for 2 people here. Portions are small. However the taste is unbelievable and so is the view. Expect high prices but first class dining with first class staff. Can recommend this for special occasions.
M.
At 53 floor up, this place makes a martini so good it will make your eyes roll back in your head, making it difficult to enjoy the incredible view.
S.
Had lunch with my wife who has been here two or three times , I loved it ! Welcomed by lovely friendly unpushy staff ( if thts a word!) Admired the best view in Auckland whilst sipping a delicious vodka cocktail that took me back to the lollies I bought as a kid (fizzies ) sweet and sour, yummy. Once seated, casual (but professional ) staff took us through the menu at ease and once the word 'crayfish ' was mentioned, I was sold for the first course, what I tasted was a velvet like textured linguine with small but delicious chunks of crayfish in a silly creamy sauce. Next I had the duck breast cooked perfectly , pink , tender and with an unusual but delecate curry sauce (jus) accompanied by a delightful samosa! I'm sure I could continue on , but the daytime experience was a fantastic way to a leisurely Sat lunch in Auckland. Definitely be back for more!
b.
I took a special woman here for lovely date. You walk up to the entrance and your greeted by a warm welcome. You get the choice to go to the observation deck before go for you dinner so go a bit earlier so you can take your time. Even if you have time to spare you can sit at the bar and look out over aucklands beautiful harbor. Once at your dinner table you will have stunning view no matter where your sat. I strongly suggest going for the 7 course with the complementing wines it is absolutely amazing. The taste, the smell, the sight, the experience and the service were excellent i could not have had a better night. 1 last little treat they give you, raining outside? , not a problem park in the skycity car park it is complentary if you eat here and you dont ever have to walk outside into bad weather. Highly recommended. Thank you skycity
T.
Had a fantastic night here for my Daughter's 21st birthday. The service and food were fantastic!! The wait staff and everyone were so accommodating. Thankyou thankyou thankyou! Highly recommend.
R.
Great food. We had 3 courses for $90, so alittle on the expensive side. But the food and the service was really great. Spectacular views of Auckland as well. A great night out for a special occasion.
G.
I have been with friends twice for lunch, such a special place, amazing views plus the food is amazing, so special, not noisy, a very special place, staff are so attentive, sat on the couch and had our coffees. I will definitely go for my birthday for lunch, as a special treat.
D.
Service, views, menu and atmosphere. Omg. Went there for the $59 lunch. Blew our mind. Ended up spending a little more on wine, coffee ☕ and Martinis but well worth it. Brilliant.
M.
Great meals, great service, great for a special occasion. Have been several times
K.
Hubby and I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary here and were very impressed with the food and service. We'll definitely be back.
D.
A great restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious.
L.
If you like degustation, you will love this! I had the crayfish linguine, the tempura aubergine (my favourite) followed by beef cheeks with smoked mash. Followed by the Peanut butter pafait. A nice glass of chianti and an amazing cocktail. I think the 4 couses may have have been to much. Bit I enjoyed every course. Service was very attentive and the setting amazing. Would definitely go again!
C.
Delicious food! awesome service! Great View. We will definitely revisit. This restaurant was an excellent choice.
S.
Loved the ambience, great food and amazing service. Would definately go again. ❤️
O.
Enjoyed another great lunch at the Sugar Club Restaurant (top of Sky Tower). Perfect food, wine, and service, topped off with an awesome view of the city.
R.
Literally my favourite place to eat in all of Auckland. Perfect for a special occasion - definitely book well in advance (a week or so) if you want a busy time like Friday/Saturday night.
R.
Fine dining at its best in Auckland
A.
Great tasting chicken, the dining experience was great, and we had a really good time here. Amazing service from the wait staff, and I'd definitely recommend The Sugar Club.
W.
My wife and I went for our anniversary and were over the moon with the experience. I say experience as it was more than just very good food. The panoramic views, the service and the indulgent yet unpretentious fine dining made a for a special evening. We went for the 10 course option and the food was nothing short of sensational.
S.
Immaculately presented food, knowledgeable and attentive wait staff and unbeatable views on a clear day. Very expensive, but the varied, small dishes were a delight to the taste buds.
R.
One of my all time great restaurants. Outstanding menu ( although or vegetarian options) excellent wine list beautiful views, best in class service.
J.
Really enjoyed my time here! 🥂
S.
Absolutely excellent experience and a must do if you are visiting New Zealand. Fantastic food and wine, fantastic service and a great view of the city. Expensive, but worth it.
T.
I have taken my overseas clients to Sugar Club and their experience was memorable in terms of the excellent and unique NZ food and service. We recently took our two grandkids (20 and 24) who were visiting us from England for Xmas. Firstly, we were presented with Vegan menus. Maybe the server who announced he was from Hackney, England looked at me (Sri Lankan lived in NZ for 52 years) and my wife (Singapore born Sri Lankan lived in NZ for 43 years) and our coffee coloured grandkids and surmised we were visitors from India?? Next, I ordered a bottle of still water. "Sir, we do not have, but I can get you one from down stairs". Maybe a manageress overheard and a bottle of Antipodes was served. Finally, the bill was presented towards our grandkids. The server never identified who had made the booking. Our Race Relations Commisioner has very recently made a comment about casual racism and I must say I was subjected to this by the man from Hackney.
s.
Simply Stunning!!!
The view, the cocktails, the service, the food! Can't wait to go again😃
B.
Great experience from service to food. Can't complain about the views either. Would come back for special occasions.
M.
The location is great and the food is amazing. Would definitely recommend. We had 3 dishes per person and that was exactly the right amount for us.
A.
Amazing views of the city and exotic cocktail menu. A must visit!
M.
Cocktails are amazing, especially the fairy tale one, staff were friendly and helpful!
M.
The food is wonderful and the view was breathtaking, only complaint is the deserts they are like super sweet so sweet to the point where the other components of the desert is masked and all you can taste is just sugar
p.
Great views of the city towards the bridge.. Nice relaxed atmosphere and great food. All in all a perfect way to spend a beautiful evening with your loved one(s).
R.
Outstanding in every way. Great staff, excellent wine list, wonderful range of dining options and of course a view to beat all others.
S.
This place is fantastic. Tasty food. Great service. Great view. You get what you pay for with this place but expect to pay with your life.
V.
Sugar Club has all the elements that make a great dining experience. It has great food, friendly service and fantastic views of Auckland.
J.
Thank you for being polite when my partner's friend asked for tomato sauce.
C.
Had a 7 course degustation lunch here, more of an event than a meal. Very attentive staff, the views are worth it and the food was exceptional.
S.
On the 53rd floor at Sky Tower ....Peter Gordan wraps it up with the food....the staff....the magnificent view and his warm and entertaining personality. We loved it.
D.
Tasty and well thought out dishes. Waiters were extremely helpful. Be prepared to pay a lot though as it can be an expensive experience.
