The food was flavourful - fresh and satisfying. 2 seafood dishes and the chicken stir fry. I would definitely go back. Credit card machine was faulty today but online payment was available. Robot delivery was a cute idea.

Pleasant surprise. Fast and friendly service with an extensive menu! Love that the menu has pictures as reference to help choose what to have! Generous serving sizes! I loved my Bahn Mi and coffee 😋

This restaurant is always busy every time I come including holidays. The restaurant looks simple but you will be surprised by the taste of the food. You can add the sauces according to your preference, they are placed on the table. Also there is always a free pot of hot tea for you. Drink some tea before eating. Tea helps your tongue feel the flavor of food more clearly.

We live in the West but is always happy to eat here when we're in the area! Staff are very friendly and food comes extremely quickly. There is a large variety of menu items, but you can't go wrong with a traditional Pho! IMO the Pho was perfect, just the right balance of flavours, not too over and under for anything. We also had some prawn/pork and beef spring rolls and they were super fresh and delicious as well. Would definitely recommend coming here if you are in the area and I'm sure they would appreciate your patronage in these times!

This place may not look the fanciest but the food is straight yummo. All the dishes our table ordered were awesome. We usually go to the one in Otahuhu so can swap around cos they are just sooo good 😊

We've been to the other Try It Out location multiple times before and this was the first time at this one, but it was so much cleaner, spacious, and nicer all around. An off road Vietnamese restaurant. It has a seating capacity of over 20 tables and can rearrange into smaller tables. Lunch time was full and customers slowly join in to fill up leaving happy belly customers. It serves traditional soupy noodles dishes & each is served with a nice little fresh yellow head green bean sprout and a slice of lemon to enhance its soup flavour. I had a BIG bowl of rice noodle soup (80% hot soup) accompanied by a crispy fried chicken thigh with drumstick. Hot Soup was so welcoming, it took away the cold winter chill. You can spice up with little red chilies and soya sauce. A pot of hot jasmine tea was just right to finished off a good hearty lunch meal. Owner had great PR skills of recognising & greeting each customer.

Well known Vietnamese Restaurant operated by Vietnamese. Food is authentic with no MSG, consistently delicious. The raw beef pho is the star for me, paired perfectly with prawn summer rolls + washed down with vietnamese Iced coffee (condensed milk) Only drawback is you will walk out smelling like the food you have ingested so don't come in your best attire!

Always a chill place to go visit and eat viet food. Since turning vegetarian, I realised there isn't many non-meat options beside this tofu dish. Everything else is pretty decent

One of few franchise Vietnamese Restaurants located throughout Auckland, the Botany branch is okay. I had visited at around 4-5PM for early dinner, where staff after they had us sit at a table said that most of the menu was not available for order. The head chef of the restaurant had seemed to be nowhere to be seen. We were left to order only noodles and left with a peckish appetite. At least two thirds of the menu was unavailable! The food served here is great but with the current level of service my expectations were heavily lowered. Would recommend for groups, and for hours between lunch and dinner only. Parking can be quite difficult during peak hours.

The Pho and Banh Xeo pancakes are spot on. The bun bo Hue was on the sweeter side a little. The Banh Mi pork roll was to die for. Dishes come out on the slow side so pick the time you wanna dine wisely.

We visited the place first time for lunch on the last day of 2020. The food is quite nice but the service is a big let down. I asked for a bowl for the kid to use but the staff looked shocking with disbelief and without speaking she pointed the self-service station by moving her face. Yes, it’s my fault that I didn’t see the self-service table in the first place, but it’s my first visit and all I need is a nice gesture pointing out where it is.

The food and service was good. My big disappointment was being overcharged by $32.50 today for our family meal. When I asked the staff member to please check my bill against my order as the till receipt has only the prices with no description of the food item. I noticed that I had been charged for 7 main meals when we ordered only 5. To his credit he apologised and refunded me the $32.50 immediately and explained that I had been charged for the previous customers meal as well as my own family's order. You need to check your bill carefully when eating here.

Been to the main branch in Otahuhu, noodle dish here is near identical to their main branch. However the meat served here looks to be in smaller portion and not as tender. Fried rice options, very small portion for its price, paid $18 for a $6 portion from else where. Other than this, staff are friendly, dishes are served quickly. Place is large and roomy and clean, but yeah, would recommend upgrade the culinary. Otherwise would recommend!

Absolutely yes! Lotsss of parking, simple decor, smiling wait staff, varied and wide menu. Had an entree of fresh rice paper rolls filled with pork, prawns, vege and rice. To be eaten dipped in a gently flavoured ginger sauce ($6.50). Also had the chicken curry with rice($15.50). Lip-smacking flavour, good quantity. $22 dinner for a couple. Went home satisfied!

A big restaurant serving authentic Vietnamese cuisine with wide selection of rice and noodle dishes, my favourite being the tomate rice with fried chicken. While the food tasted good, it also tasted like it had some MSG additives to go with it. Price is OK and service is fine.

Good food for the price the fruit drinks are worth a try. The waiters attention can be hard to grab don't be afraid to yell out to grab there atention else you could be waiting 10 to 15min if u only use hand signals.

it's not near where I live and work but go there everynow and then.rice noddle soup is my most have dish,with fresh squeezed lemon juice and chilli make the soup so tasty. I would recommend to have fresh basil leaves to go with it like elsewhere in the world.but understand they are expensive in nz and Italian basil just doesn't taste the same!

Nice Vietnamese food and good environment. Clean toilet which means clean kitchen too. A lot of car park near the restaurant or outside the main road. A lot of tables, so not need to book advance.

In comparison to their otahuhu restaurant this one has to be by far the better try it out! Although distance is abit far for me I would come here over the otahuhu one. Food taste slightly better, and customer service is much more better!! It was good that they asked my partner how she wanted her tofu liked as well, whereas the otahuhu one who knows what sauce they throw in it.
