Great service, music, and location. Staff were helpful. Good size menu with lots of options - very affordable considering you are waterfront. Pizza wasn't amazing, but everything else a very high standard. 4/4.5 out of 5.

From the moment I walked through the door, to leaving the venue, the service was amazing. Alex and his team were very accommodating, and even allowed my dog, kiwi, to sit outside. Food was amazing and can’t wait to return. Thanks so much for the fantastic experience.

What we ordered: - Prosciutto pizza $25 - Housemade Gnocchi $28 - Lettuce wedge $12 - Canggu Mocktail $13 We went here for a night out in the city. The pizza had a great slightly charred soft base but was definitely more on the messy side. The lettuce wedge was exactly what it said it was, I'd probably just go for a salad the next time I visit, but the offer of bacon and Parmesan on our vegetables was quite enticing. The highlight was probably the housemade gnocchi which was super soft and fluffy with a smooth flavourful sauce (or at least that's what I remember from the one bite I had) and the canggu mocktail was a really refreshing and not too sweet watermelon-y drink. Not necessarily the cheapest option but definitely a lot of fun for a night out

Food and drinks were fabulous. My one and only gripe was with the app that you use at the table to order your meals and drinks, we felt you should remove the tip option. As we were doing our own ordering, we felt that asking for a tip was a bit on the nose as there was actually no service per say. Plus we are not America. But we will definitely be back. we all enjoyed our lunch.

First time visitor and hard to fault anything. Friendly welcome and shown how to order online using my mobile phone. Drinks came promptly and meal quick also. My chicken main was fantastic - tender with great sauces. Other meal fish and chips with fresh snapper

We had the most amazing service here yesterday. Activity packs for the kids, excellent service with understanding the easy online ordering system, where I could see pictures of the food and the amazing, delicious food that arrived quickly. An awesome meal out and would totally recommend. A real credit to the exceptional staff. A special mention to Liam who was understanding and friendly when helping the older folk understand how to order their meal. 🤪

Organized a friend's birthday here in late Feb and it was a great night in the garden bar. My questions about the venue etc were answered promptly. Lovely food and good service, and the online ordering via the QR code at the table made payment a breeze. Would highly recommend for large groups.

Great venue. Good service and food. Liked the order by phone system easy to use BUT beware that every single item on the receipt when checked later has an added card purchase charge so it works out more expensive than you expect!! I think this is a bit of a scam as it might be in the small print but you have no other option than this system?

Lovely setting and service was very quick for drinks and food. We had a really lovely lunch. Staff friendly and helpful. Personally I feel scanning a code and ordering online from your table is quite impersonal and not something I would chose when dining out. It’s a little difficult to navigate the menu from cellphones outside. Having said that I do see the restaurant is trying to reduce contact with staff and when one of our group couldn’t use the app on her phone we were advised that a staff member could take the order and she could pay at the counter. Perhaps customers could be give the choice of how they order and pay on arrival. Overall great experience.

All staff treat customers delicately and kindly. I didn't feel uncomfortable while I was staying. I ordered buffalo pizza, but there was a lot of cheese, and the sauce and combination were sweet😋The cocktail is also great ! Above all, the atmosphere was good. It was a satisfying Friday nitee🤠

Had dinner with workmate friends here on Sunday night. Lovely place, very chill and relaxed. Very unique way to order food (it’s a plus for me as i don’t really like to mingle to people lol). Lovely food and choices of drinks. Love to comeback here

You scan the barcode, place your order and pay all on your phone. They probably started the system due to covid, I'm not sure. It's okay but that takes away the service you're paying for when you go for sit down dining and means you miss out on the interaction aspect of a day out, felt impersonal. The only thing missing is for them to tell customers to pick up their own orders from the kitchen. I went there this morning for breakfast. The atmosphere was light, good music, noisy. The food isn't bad, but i fell sick when i got home and since that's the only thing i ate today, I'm wondering if there was something wrong with it. The best part is the location and view. Sit outside and you can look.out the water. Give this place a try if you don't consider customer service an important part of your outing (don't get me wrong, it's not because they don't have good customer service, it's because there's not much of it).

Loved the $5 kids meals! Advertise this out the front of your restaurant. Good food. The kids loved the kid packs. Our server was absolutely lovely. LOVE the app to order and pay. So cool. We never really enjoy the area as kids are seen as pariahs in most places in the city, but Wynyard Pav was actually really nice and we had a chance to relax with the kids. Thanks for making us feel welcome.

Nice waterside location, our table ordered drinks and food individually as you have to use an app to take orders, but it all arrived fairly quickly. I had a fried chicken entree which was very good. Prices are what you would expect for central Auckland i.e.expensive, but no more so than everywhere else in the CBD.

Drinks came very quickly: frozen mojitos were exactly as described with the perfect amount of rum; however the margarita was a too salty; watermelon one was very refreshing too. As for food, all portion sizes were bigger than expected so was very filling and overall everyone enjoyed their meals. Waiters and waitresses were very kind and helpful too.

Really enjoyed the food; small plates and squid linguine were outstanding and the burgers went down well. Unfortunately what let whole experience down was the complete disconnect with the service staff. Having a digital application to order and pay is not the way to go even with Covid influencing the current situation. There was no communication with staff to upsell, reorder drinks etc which meant we could have just ordered Uber eats and taken it away. Totally needs a rethink.

Great staff and awesome food. Not a fan of the website menu you use on your phone myself but it works fine. Be good if it didn't force you to pay by credit as you ordered so you could pay with eftpos at till later.

Im not a fan of the ordering from your phone, especially if you want to split the bill later. Soft drinks were flat. Other than that the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious.

Very disappointed with food, the pizza was bland with no taste, the chicken main was very small, the flounder was lovely but the sides where also bland. They also forgot to bring our fries and when we asked for them they were soft and soggy. When we raised our concerns the server did apologize and gave us a discount. He said he would talk to the kitchen but then didn't follow through.

The place is really good and it closes really late,so it is good if you want to hang out with friends for a while and have a chat. The new system under the traffic light works with a qr code that needs to be scanned for ordering food and drinks. The real big issue and huge downside is that you not get told that the kitchen is closing so you end up not being able to order food just all of a sudden. We had a friend running late for work issues and we had to order for her some snacks before the kitchen was definitely closing, without people telling us. That is a huge downfall of I might be honest.

Amazing food and service as always. I regularly come here because the eggs bene is on point. With the new remote ordering system - great instructions from the wait staff but I would make a suggestion to recommend the table hit order at the same time, as I got my food before my friends finished ordering. Food was great. Startednoit with the garlic & cheese pizza bread and potatoe & leek croquettes. Both very ni e and wud highly recommend. For mains we shared a char grilled scotch fillet which came with potatoes with charred baby cos. Delicious!!! We also shared the sauteed summer greens which had asparagus green beans Broccolini and kale. Again delicious !! Staff were great. Atmosphere very good. Was a Tuesday night so not to busy overall a great dinner out.

I organised a large family event at Wynyard Pavilion for a long lunch and it was just great. They were so good to deal with, nothing was a problem, and all went smoothly on the day - and great value with it. Liam (Events Organiser) arranged everything and was also there on the day to make sure it was all good. Great service and will return again.

Lovely spot to sit on a sunny day. Quite pricey though considering it's basically just a pub. Food was ok, very expensive beer prices! Staff were lovely though and very attentive, we were of course very restricted in numbers allowed. I would add half a star more if it were possible but not a whole one.

Our first time here we had a breakfast for Mother's day as they open early and we are their first customer.. the staff infront was racist and rude to us, as we were looking for a table to sit with 4 adults and 1 child but the table they offered us outside was all high chairs but we were looking for standard height because we have a child. We finally choose one even though with high chairs and then this female staff concierge who was wearing a black dress/uniform told us it's reserved with her tone so RUDE! so I asked her again which table we can sit and she rudely told us only in the middle, but my mum went inside to look for standard height table and they had a few available which that staff did not assist us properly maybe because we were Asians. Then suddenly customers are coming and we saw that female staff assisting each of them for table while giving out a small gift for kids but my niece never received one. Really BAD experience for a first timer here.. I think the only good thing was the complimentary wine they gave us because it's Mother's day.. I also ordered coffee but never received it.

Amazing location and plenty of space outdoors and indoors. Lovely view of the American and British boats during the Prada Cup, and this place is an official partner of Emirates Team NZ. The service was fast and friendly, there was a space for our bikes, and the fish and chips was delicious! They also serve Little Creatures beer which I was impressed by.

Lunched today at Wynyard Pavilion. Ordered pan-fried snapper with fries (not exactly on the menu but provided) and my friend chose the crumbed squid. The snapper was fresh and beautifully cooked. The fries were hand-cut and a generous portion. The rose' was Church Rd and at $16 per glass, a little pricey. However, we'd be happy to return!

If you’re looking for a casual lunch by the water with good pub food and a good drinks list, this is a good option. There’s pizzas, small & large sharing plates and some good salad options. My dining companion and I went with the halloumi and zucchini salad, which was so good. Fresh and crunchy with pillowy and salty halloumi. The gin list is great too. Very easy to while away the hours here.

The perfect spot to watch the Louis Vuitton Cup! The new replacement for Jack Tar has been really well done up! The bar looks fantastic with lots of craft beers. Most of the tabes have a view of the water with indoor and outdoor seating available. They have a big screen tv on the back wall and there was live music on when we were in. There is plenty of restaurant seating but it is predominantly bar. The night we went in there were plenty of staff on and service was efficient, however we are yet to try their new food!

Very nice thick-cut GIANT fries along with an excellent flounder garnished with nuts... The loaded fries didn't hit he mark for me but I didn't order them 😁 I think everyone around the table were happy with their food, the environment was good and the staff very helpful, honest and friendly. Compared to Melbourne my coffee was just ok but it was late for coffee and they were about to clean the machine so I was thankful that they made the effort to make one last cup for the day...

Had lunch for 4 on Saturday 24Apr21. Our waiting staff were lovely, and service superb - but food and presentation sadly lacking. The hot water jug supplied with my long black was filthy with large brown stains, (both inside and out), that I could scrape with a fingernail, (so, not small nor ingrained - and very visible). My "Big Breakfast" was a nice size with good appearance, but the poached eggs were completely cold, the sausages barely warm, yet tomatoes and mushrooms piping hot. If all served hot it would have superb. BUT, the plate had a large and very visible crack across 2/3. So deep, that (after I finished), I slightly pulled both sides to see if it was all through, and the plate broke in my hands, (I'm not that strong!). The kids cheese burgers and chips were great - good size and tasty (and hot). The Buddha Salad showed promise, but was a little underwhelming in flavor mix. A single shot mocha came as a double shot flat white. Maybe a bad day in the kitchen?

Staff is so friendly and bubbly. But i Had the Salmon Pizza last night and got badly ill and ended up spewing blood after the food inside the bathroom. Tried to let one of the staff know but he showed no interest at all and when i asked “Do you know what’s in the salmon pizza” he was like “nah can’t think of what’s in it on the top of my head” so he just handed me the menu and just went on with his night. The staff was really nice and lovely, but the 90% of our burger patty was basically raw. They did not ask if we wanted it to be like that, so we were really flabbergasted, and obviously couldn't eat most of it, only the edges that were properly cooked. Otherwise everything else was great.

Average eatery at an above average location. I would have expected more from them. Ate at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. Party of four with one in a wheelchair. Accessibility is fine. Ambiance and staff: Nice and open. Very minimalistic decor. It's a very nice setting for a meal. Staff were polite and efficient. Drinks: Iced chocolate and coke were nice. Ordered a flat white and was served what I would call a cappuccino as it was very foamy and in a small cup. Iced latte was very disappointing. I suspect they made a hot latte and placed ice in it as it came luke-warm and quite unappetising. As a barista I was very disappointed. Food: fish and chips, fish burger and sashimi were all what you would expect and thus made for nice meals (though a bit bland). I had the beef burger which was terribly unseasoned. The chips were, however, very nice. It's about average for any New Zealand eatery of this sort. It's nothing to write home about and I won't be back. There's other places along the wharf where you might be better to try your luck at.

We strolled along Wynyard Quarter and into Wynyard Pavilion this evening - best decision we could’ve made! Such friendly staff who gave us a great table out front - perfect for a late summer evening I started with a glass of Roaring Meg Pinot Noir, and he had a Guinness Then I had the leek and potato croquettes.. yummy as. He had the ceviche which was amazing ... generous servings and so tasty My pizza was the best ever - salmon and avo .. topped with fresh sprigs of dill The other main was divine ... the softest beef short ribs were incredible. I need to go back and order my own dish cos it’s so good I won’t be sharing! Too full for dessert but next time ...... Top staff led by Sean, and the chefs are producing such delicious meals We won’t miss an opportunity to go back soon. Highly recommended

I used to come here when it was called jack tar. the interior has had a little change but its still very similar. I had the market fish and a bottle of sav wine. All very reasonably price. The fish was large and tasted great came with asparagus and a lemon sauce. The staff were very friendly and helpful even when we were a bit of a pain as we were sitting out side and it became a bit cold for some of the ladies we were with and the staff were helpful enough to move us all inside mid service. the only recommendation i could make is if they could offer a more unique or specialist menu. it comes across as your standard pub eatery menu. apart from that still great.

The place looks great and the service was great, however I thought the food could have been better from what I've heard from friends. I had the prawn sandwich and it was more like a salad on a roll with a very few prawns. Tasted just OK as the prawns were fresh. The drinks were good, and they serve good beer!

A superb location overlooking the America's Cup syndicates of Ineos and America Patriot. Very efficient and friendly staff. A good menu selection, the food was very well cooked and nicely presented. The Ceviche is stunning.

Love the setting and we come often... if only the service was a little less haphazard! 3 people ask if you want to order drinks within seconds of your arrival, then once food arrives we often get ignored. Shame as food is good and there is usually good music/ambience.

Came here for my first post-lockdown outing and was definitely not disappointed! The refurbishment is clean, bright and looks lovely, and the service was prompt, friendly and very accommodating. Loved the food - great taste (the onion rings were amazing - some of the lightest, crunchiest batter I've ever had) and generous portions, which is always nice. Can't wait to come back!

Beautifully laid out, sun or rain you have a spacious atmosphere. It's a big place so if you're outside and a quick drinker then order half way through your drink. Definitely one of my two favourite Wynyard places.

Great location, food, and staff! Wynyard Pavillion was the perfect place to host our graduating class dinner of 59 people. Located right on the waterfront the environment was amazing. Chefs were fantastic in preparing all the meals within 15-30 minutes! The food was great and also very well priced. Wait staff were fast and attentitive and made the night very enjoyable. Special thanks to Damien for making the organisation super smooth and to Liam for facilitating the night perfectly. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
