J.Great place to get takeaways. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty the food was. I've tried a lot of places but I would have to say the fried rice and mee groeng was the best I've had so far. Simple and delicious. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is portion size is smaller when compared to other Chinese restaurants, but overall good food and service. Parking can be difficult to find in front of the shop especially on weekends, best to park off street and walk to the restaurant.
D.Went there for the first time ... The Laksa was delicious , probably needed a little more filling , like vegs or chick or tofu to bulk it up a little more ...but other it was really nice . The other was the rice noodles , the portion was a little small , but it was still nice . Lastly the curry chicken , portion was good , probably would of been much better if there was a bit more sauce , or maybe have a small container for the curry sauce separately , so the rice doesn't absorb it all , as it tasted a bit dry by the time I got home . As I only live 10 mins away ...
Price is well priced .
But... Personally my suggestion would be , I rather pay a little more per dish , like $15 or something and have a slightly bigger portion or more filling , rather than $13.80 but with smaller portion and less filling .
This is just my personal suggestion , depending on what your marketing target audience is .. as if you are price driven , then keep it the way it is , as I know there's only so much you can do with your current price and all your overheads..
I rather pay a little more for a bigger portion .
Anyway , food was great .
Would go back again , especially for the laksa .
L.After eating at various 'western' diners the first 2 days in Manukau, we were craving for some flavors of home (ok Malaysia is not my home but the food is close enough). Finally found this diner thru Google maps. First time here I ordered the Malay Curry Beef Brisket Rice and Malaysian Wat Dan Hor. The curry beef in particular was amazing. Wife was gushing over the Hor Fun saying it's better than any zichar Hor Fun she had eaten in Singapore. Oh and the owner also served us hot Chinese tea which "saved our lives" on that frigid day. First time eating such legit Malaysian dishes in Auckland. We came back here the next day and tried the Char Kway Teow and Rendang Chicken on Rice. Both were awesome as expected. Will definitely come back again if I ever come back to Manukau.
T.I often visit my parents in Auckland, dad knows a lot of good Malaysian food spots in Auckland. He took me to this one and said hands down best char kuey teow in Auckland. Food was great, even had a bit of my mums chicken rice! The chili they use there definitely has a kick so be wary! Overall a quite satisfying meal before heading off to the airport. Highly recommended
J.I go there for lunch every 2 weeks or so.
The Curry puffs are the best I've ever had, including Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Favourite meal is char kway teow and laksa.

M.Came here for dinner after reading some positive reviews. The taste is close to what you can get in Malaysia. The cook and the lady were busy when I was there. One has to be patient.
B.Had char-Kueh-teow, spicy n non spicy. Spicy was too spicy for me. Fish head noodles had no fish head!! Taste average. Better than none!
D.Had the Mee Goreng, asked for very spicy in Mandarin, was medium but the taste was great they refilled my water and had a good waiter (not normal for Chinese/Malaysian restaurants.

Y.Vegetarian friendly! My diet requirements are no meat, no egg, no onion, garlic, chives. They have many options of food to cater my requirements, ie noodles, roti, rice, curry etc. Customer service is good too! It is a small and busy Maylaysian restaurant. Good choice for a quick meal stay, especially for those who look for vegetarian meals in Manukau area.

B.I had tried one of their mee goreng and it was really nice. It was quite different from other places since it had a distinct sambal flavour in the noodles.
The shop is a small area across the road from Rainbows End. There are other stores and restaurants around too and this one looks to be the smallest. They have a few tables inside. The menu looks interesting and would be keen to try more when I'm in the area, particularly the sago.
R.I Googled Laksa and found this place based on that search. Thought I would check it out. There is no public toilet and the extraction fans are poor meaning the doors have to stay open or you will get smoked out, which is horrible on a cold day because you will freeze. Thats how we felt on our visit. The seafood Laksa tasted good but I felt a bit cheated as there was hardly any seafood in it and no Egg which is what im used to in a good seafood Laksa. No large prawns either. I think three stars is fair all considering.
K.Went in today, had 星洲炒米 n 咕姥肉。 Very yummy. Good price. Taste really between Chinese food n Malaysia food. Will definitely come again.

N especially appreciated and love the hot tea they bring you once you seated. (Not cold water) This is so Asian... feels like home again. Thank you so much.
M.I had the Chicken Curry Laksa. Taste was great and expected. Luckily I had some limes at home to give it that extra kick. Nicely presented place. Getting a parking was a difficult with it being close to a lot of other popular shops. Will be back for sure.
C.Their Malaysian Kumpong Fried Rice is recommended. It comes with anchovies and you can request for additional egg on top of your fried rice. It really reminds me of home. 👍
G.This place is a hidden Gem and I was lucky to stumble across it 6 months ago. It is extremely well priced and I go there at least once a week. I have tried nearly everything on the menu without disappointment. The decor could be improved on and the owner could smile a bit more, but food is full of flavour and you will not leave hungry.

Used to go to noodle canteen whom I love dearly but i think I will be coming back to yummy kitchen again for sure.

M.Great variety and selection of Malaysian dishes (even for vegetarian). Quality is consistent. Price is reasonable as well. Owners are very generous with serving, even when we asked for more chilli. Their nasi lemak chilli is homemade. Delicious.
R.Brisket curry with rice was nice and flavourful bbq pork wonton with noodles was also very good. Overall excellent service was great very friendly and we got a nice complimentary glass of cold water each, Very nice especially in the summer.
S.Indeed YUMMY! Big portions as well! My husband and I ordered Nasi Lemak, Mee Goreng and Chicken Laksa, and everything is just authentic! Their Nasi Lemak needs more sides (dried fish, peanuts and sambal) other than that it’s all good.
Can’t wait for our next visit and will order the Hainanese Chicken, repeat order Laksa and mee goreng ❤️

j.Quite good. I have tried Hokkien Mee without lard and is ok. Tried the Chay Kueh Teow mix noodles, the noodles a bit hard. Also tried Hainanese Chicken rice, it's a bit over the average but not yet comes to the best. The sago gula Melaka is great.

P.This is an under-rated little gem of a restaurant. It is nothing flash and lacking in decor, but the food is top-notch, super cheap with large portions. Service is fast and I never regret stopping by.
