Amazing food and vibe, incredible service. If I could give 6 stars I would. Thanks team Gramado’s for a wonderful and authentic dinner experience, we will definitely be back next time we’re in town.

We ordered everything with a Brazilian name. It was ALL amazing. And the service was absolutely on point: friendly and helpful and informative without being overbearing. More than just a meal, an entire experience.

We were traveling from Picton to the south and we wanted to spent our christmas evening eating good food. Gramado's was everything we expected on a high cuisine restorant. The amount of food, the taste, the place itself; Outstanding. Also, we would like to say thanks to the attendant (boy from England) for the awesome service. They even gave us some free delicacy. Cheers. Thanks.

Absolutely brilliant. Fantastic service, fabulous food. When you go to a restaurant you always expect good food, which is what we received. The thing that stands out is service. I don’t know who runs the place but I will say this - Tom is absolutely amazing. I’m sure you know this but I’m just letting you know again. What a night. Cheers team. From the food to the customer service, Gramado's is in a class of it's own! Have never had better. They accommodated our adjustments for food sensitivities, made suggestions and went out of their way to make the evening special, even googling how to say Happy Birthday in Afrikaans for a special touch on my son's dessert. Just awesome!

A five star dining experience. The owner was incredibly friendly, service was exceptional and when we mentioned that we all work in the wine industry, we got to try a selection of the delicious wines they have to offer here (and got quizzed on what we think each one was exactly). We all shared some Cassava Cakes and Escondidinho to start with, they were so unique in flavour and very tasty. My main dish, the Fish Moqueca, was AMAZING! Definitely try out the 2015 Malbec if you like red wines, one of the best I‘ve had. Would definitely come here again should we be back in the South any time soon, a must try Restaurant!

It’s an extra special night on 3 June 2021. Staff are so friendly and warmly hospitable. The Kiwi-Brazilian fusion food is amazing indeed and their “Porco Loco” is perfect 10. Thank you for the amazing night. Surely dine here again on our next trip to Blenheim.

We have just had an exquisite dinner here. Everything was great; friendly and professional staff, scrumptious food, nice atmosphere. As a starter we shared Brazilian cheese breads and the day’s soup. The soup was the best mushroom soup we have ever had. It’s done with Portobello mushrooms, white wine and Parmesan. I’m a big fan of pao de queijo, so I cannot be objective about it. The mains were quite delicious as well. You can see the portions in the photos. Next time we are in Blenheim, we will definitely be back.

What an amazing experience! Extremely friendly staff who are all having a good time and ensuring that you are enjoying yourself as well. The atmosphere is well matched to the food which is also excellent. Their cheese balls are famous and a must try. The wines are mostly local and they cover most varietals. Not surprisingly, they are busy so make sure to book if you're in Blenheim.

Nice enough but not great, Very friendly staff but overall a but over-rated. It might well be the best in Blenheim but that says less about Blenheim instead of more about this place. Would die elsewhere.

Lovely food - loved the Brasilian chillies with the prawn moqueca and also the slow roasted pork belly. Dessert of acai berry icecream was delicioso! Very friendly, attentive service.

Wonderful restaurant. The staff are so welcoming, explained the menu, service was excellent. The expresso martini is the best I've had. The night out was so good we booked the following week.

What a great place to dine. The food was amazing but also the staff were sooo attentive and nice. The pork belly was fab as was the lamb and desserts are to die for. Yummy. Would recommend going here but you will certainly need to book in advance.

If you’re visiting New Zealand and have a taste for amazing regional cuisine from Brazil, this is your place. Delicious, unique food and attentive and extremely friendly and accommodating service. The pao de queijo is one of the most delicious and unique appetizers I’ve ever sampled. The Feijoada and Prawn Moqueca, both traditional Brazilian dishes, were beyond divine. (Feijoada is basically a hearty, meaty black bean soup, and the moqueca is shrimp served in a heavy coconut-based sauce, not that these descriptions do either dish justice. They just have to be tried.) They also have an impressive wine list and some innovative cachaca based cocktails unlike anything the typical Kiwi or American would know. For the less adventurous, there are more familiar dishes like salt and pepper calamari, a ribeye steak, and a pan fried fish that sound like an elevated version of fish and chips, all of which I’m certain is expertly prepared. For most Americans or Kiwis, though, it’s best to come here seeking to try something new. You won’t be disappointed.

Small restaurant with an excellent atmosphere and the food was phenomenal. The service was excellent as well, they make you feel welcome as if you are their guest rather than their customer! If I didn’t live in the USA, I would definitely go back! But maybe on the next New Zealand trip!

Table of 8 and it was recommended by several locals. So I went hopeful but not convinced. It really delivered on several levels. The staff were excellent by any standards. The menu was authentic but also easy to order from. The wine list was small but well chosen ( small town ) and the food was very good. We had a great time and would go again.

Tonight for my wife's 30th birthday, Saulo Camillo Nunes and his amazing staff gave my wife and I the best dinning experience we gave ever had, Better than Hopgoods dear I say🤔🙊 Remy and the bar staff with dreads had an amazing energy that made our experience even better. Their recommendations for Kai were not disappointing. Cheese balls and deep fried dumplings were incredible. Lamb pasta and the Chicken Mignon then Volcano chili cake and cheese cake of the day. Saulo and his crew also sang happy birthday to my wife in Brazilian, honestly the most incredible and enjoyable night out. Talking to Remy and Saulo they really do care about the customers dinning experience. Highly highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND GRAMADO'S Also leave them a tip, I have never ever tipped at any restaurant but tonight was different from other dinning experiences. Will be driving from Nelson to Blenheim just to go back for dinner, then drive back to Nelson 🤣

Great food, unique dishes, lovely atmosphere. The thing that makes this place special is the passion of the guy running it. He visited every table at least once while I was there making sure everyone was happy, recommending dishes, saying hello. There was someone who worked in the wine business sat at the table next to me who got a free tasting of the restaurants new wines so the boss could get his opinion. You will feel really welcome there.

We had a most delightful evening once again. The food was delicious. For the mains we had the steak dish, best steak ever according to my husband, and the lamb shoulder was my choice, it was so beautifully tender. The staff happy and very helpful. It's a great place to go for a celebration

10/5! the best Brazilian food! Amazing service that makes you feel right at home and creates a true experience to be remembered. Try the hot sauces - the açaí x Carolina reaper is hands down the best hot sauce that we have had anywhere in the world (not for the faint of heart!)

Oh my god! I never write reviews for NZ restaurants and have broken my own rule. As the food of the NZ restaurants are usually subpar, doesn't measure up to performance and the restaurant isn't even worth mentioning. I just came back from Italy and tried some Michelin star restaurants. I am a food connoisseur and this restaurant was good or even better then some Michelin star restaurants! The food was fantastic. My brother is a chef and it is never the restaurant that makes great food. It is the chef that makes a great restaurant. Where to start? The food was excellent and their speciality is Brazilian dishes. The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere or ambience of the restaurant was great. The lights went out and people and guests were encouraged to sing happy birthday. I think their were 3 birthdays in the restaurant that night. The mood of the restaurant is reflected in their free Wifi password "Talk to each Other". Most people bury their heads in their cellphones and ignore the person they are suppose to be with in the restaurant. You get the picture. Other signs that the restaurant was good. The whole place was booked out. It was completely packed and was lucky enough to get a free table. For our European cousins who are use to eating late around 9-10pm as is the custom in Europe. They close at midnight. Another plus. Finally, I tend not to eat desert and the restaurant brought out a free sample of their desert. Another acolade to their bow and why this restaurant is special.

Great staff, very cheerful and helpful. Outstanding soup of the day (broccoli, blue cheese, bacon, onion), very tasty indeed. Nice choice of fizz (Raquette). Our only challenge was that the soup & both mains were quite rich, leaving no room for dessert. Well, maybe for just a delicious complementary taste then. :-)

Even though we didn't have a booking on a Friday night they sat us in the bar to fit us in. The service is amazing, very personable & professional. The steak was beautiful. If we ever come this way again will definitely come back here. Thanks very much!

OK, i haven't yet been to experience this wonderful restaurant but!...My daughter Angie and her partner Mick and his boss Mark and wife were there last night. Well what a absolutely fun experience they had ( they have been there before ) I heard about all the laughter and fun that was had. Great staff, great host, amazing food. Oh I can't wait to see for myself! Just on what I've heard this place should be on your "To do list"!

What a find! The waiters knew the menu so well and were extremely friendly and forthcoming with interesting little details about the food. The food itself was delicious, well-balanced and flavoursome, pork belly melt in the mouth! We were only passing through and had a small meal, yet they wouldn’t let us leave without a little complimentary dessert. An all-around magical experience. This is what service is all about! Thanks to all the lovely team!

Gramados is easily one of The BEST resteraunts in Marlborough... Without a doubt. The staff are very personable and friendly. The Brazilian dishes are delicious! ( Would highly recommend the Porco Loco) You get to try a tray of South American Chili's 🌶️ and if it's your birthday 🎂🎉 the staff come out and sing a song for you! With a good selection of local Wine, Brazilian spirits, local beers and cocktails you'll be pressed to find a better night out. Prices for a two course meal a couple of beers, a bottle of wine, a tray of chili and a birthday desert left us with a $150 on the cheque. But you pay for what you get. And if you want great service and food, then you pay for what you get. It's such a great atmosphere and can't speak highly enough about this Restaurant. 10/10

I didn't know what to expect when we first walked in, but don't be fooled by the entrance..... you will struggle to find better food or service ANYWHERE in New Zealand. This is a MUST dining experience as well as a social experience. If you go to Blenheim and not dine here, you have truly missed out.

You would not imagine to find an authentic Brazilian restaurant in Blenheim, but here it is. With Brazilian hospitality that is warm and friendly.

First time have Brazilian food in NZ. pleasant ambience and excellent customer services. The staffs coupled with kindness and professional, also managed to find a table for us The lamb pasta was amazing, and the cheeseballs and desert was so yummy! Would definitely go back again.

It was our first time in Marlborough, and I had to do a last minute booking for my husband's birthday. I was so grateful that we've been accommodated despite the restaurant being quite full tonight. The place was nice and cosy, the food was delicious especially the Brazilian risoles. The staff were very friendly and took pride in explaining to us about their food. To our delight, they gave my husband a birthday treat - a yummy dessert - which he can't refuse. Obrigada, Gramado's team. We will surely visit again before we go back to Auckland.

The food, the atmosphere is absolutely amazing!!! I have a greater appreciation for chillies. It was amazing, plus the staff make sure that nothing is too hot for you if you’re unsure. Simply amazing. We dropped by for a snack and some wine on a Tuesday evening, and I've gotta say, it's one of those places that not only serves food and drinks - but an actual experience along with that. All the staff were really friendly, helpful and professional. The food was delicious and the wine was just great - good selection of really nice wines, which, combined with the welcoming and attentive staff, summed up to a lovely evening! If you're somewhere around blenheim and are looking for a place where you can enjoy a nice evening with some good food and wine - it would definitely be worth a detour!

Where to start...lovely staff, very attentive. We reached early about 15min but staff welcomed us and offered nice craft beer in the waiting lounge. At the time of dinner service, the server briefed us about the menu and his preferences, it helped us a lot to decide what we wanted. Plus point, the owner was very friendly as he talked to us regarding taste preferences and delivered tasting plates too! Hands down this place is a must visit if you are in Marlborough region and want to taste full suprising mouth watering food. I don't think 5 stars are enough for the experience. All I can say is that these guys are the real deal! Everything from the service, the friendliness, the food... I hardly ever write reviews, and the only two occasions in my life I have ever been wowed by a restaurant's food and service was in Japan, and, today, here at Gramado's. Obrigados and I hope to be back again soon!

Came here for dinner on the recommendation of a friend. Great atmosphere, bustling kitchen, very helpful and friendly staff. Dinner was awesome, cocktails were great, dessert was sweet but not too overpowering. Saulo gave us a shot of Brazilian cachaca jambu which is an experience all of itself! Highly recommend. Will definitely come back here next time we are in town. Thanks for the great night!!

Amazing start to finish. This was a last minute "look up something to eat while driving" decision. And its been one of the best ones in years. Amazing friendly genuine staff. Great atmosphere. The maitre d was very friendly informative as it is a Brazilian restaurant , so spent time explaining the menu. The food was great will try Brazilian again when we get back to Auckland.

Man it's so easy to see why everyone ravs about this place n why ya always have to book in advance...everything is amazing across the board from the service the menu n the knowledge of Brazil to the hospitality...I had the pork belly n the crackling was the best I,ve ever had.... even to the complimentary water that hurts....or something long these lines (I know it's sounds very dodgy but ya definitely need to listen to them before ya drink it) Thoroughly enjoyable night looking forward going back again 🤘

What a surprisingly fantastic find!! We were just passing through Blenheim on the way to Christchurch and we couldn't have been happier! The food was amazing, my husband had the lamb, I had the vegetarian curry, and our waiter was SO kind and friendly. We highly recommend this great find! :)

Outstanding food! The steak was fantastic and I know good steak from growing up in Texas. The staff was friendly, helpful and informative. The setting was nice and the drinks were good. This is easily the best meal we've had in New Zealand! Go eat here!

We were made to feel like royalty as soon as we walked in and didn’t have to lift a finger. The food was such incredible quality, we had the Assoda lamb and Seafood chowder and couldn’t believe how rich the dishes were. All three waiters who served us were wonderful and brought us complimentary things to try. I couldn’t love this experience enough and I hope it’s a reflection of what the rest of New Zealand will be like!!

I went here for a birthday and was totally blown away by the staff and atmosphere. The staff were friendly and professional and happy to help in any way they could. The atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant. The food was quite spicy and fancy which are both things I personally do not enjoy but I can see the appeal of you like those things. All in all a very enjoyable place to eat and I would definitely recommend.

I travelled to Blenheim for work and got the chance to try this restaurant. I was really amazed by the quality of the food. Saulo was also really accommodating as I hadn't booked in. I will definitely be back.

Absolutely fantastic. Food was top drawer, a super tasty blend of Brazilian recipes and Kiwi ingredients. Atmosphere was really nice and staff were excellent. Could have had any dish on the menu and been happy. Highly recommended.

Fantastic service, great atmosphere and the food was amazing - not your typical Brazilian meat - fest, they make incredibly tasty and satisfying food that is far from the mundane. Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options too. Do not miss this restaurant when you are in Blenheim! Our new favourite place.

This was the best restaurant that I have been to in years, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. My friend and I went without a booking and we would have been happy to sit in the bar, however the staff came out and said that we would have a table as soon as one came available. They were extremely attentive while we waited and it wasn't long before we were shown to a table in the dining area. I ordered a cocktail that the staff recommended which was delicious, and we had a lot of trouble deciding what dishes to order as they all sounded amazing. We ordered a pesto pasta dish (half sized because the portions were huge!) and the mussel dish in a capsicum coconut cream sauce. When our food arrived beautifully presented, the staff took a photo of us with no prompting, even editing it for us to make it stand out! Both dishes were amazing, with the flavours perfectly balanced. There was no food left on the plates when we were finished. We then ordered a dessert to share, which blew me away and was the perfect ending to the evening. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and family and will be back again often in future.

It makes sense why this restaurant has such a good rating. This was arguably the best meal we had during out entire time in New Zealand. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered, including the escondidinho, creamy onion soup, feijoada, and assado. Even the desserts were delectable. If you're around this wine region, make sure to stop in (but not without a reservation).

Service was excellent from all staff especially from our server Harry who explained the dinner menu very well and was warm friendly and efficient and invited us to try extras which we really enjoyed, the restaurant was well worth the visit and will return next time we are in town.

Meal was fantastic - we both had the steak which was cooked to perfection. Excellent service and they went out of their way to make my husband's night special on his birthday. Good tasty meal, good service, prices may have increased since our last visit. We did wonder why one of the waiters had to shout the specials (5 mins) out so everyone in restaurant could hear him!

My partner and I went there for a date night in October. It was the best date night I've ever had. They were so welcoming and kind. They went through the specials of the night with us and and had a laugh with us. When they delivered our starters they asked us if we liked spice, and brought over a plate of several levels of chilli for us. I'm not into spice so they gave me a free scoop of ice cream to cool my mouth down. With our mains, they brought out a little hand held photography light and used my cell phone to take a lovely photo of us. They also gave us a small dessert each for free as apparently we weren't allowed to leave with out dessert. Amazing.

Hands down one of the best dining experiences I've ever had the pleasure of. The staff were nothing short of amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious. We certainly didn't expect to find this gem in Blenheim but I imagine we will be back to Blenheim more often if not just to dine here.

The owner came down and sat with us explained the menu which is really nice. My favourite one was the smoked lamb pasta but the squid was a bit salty to me. 4.5.

If you are thinking of opening any form of food and beverage venue, anywhere, ever - don't. Well don't until you've been here and had an absolute masterclass in hospitality. The service isnt just good, its genuine. The owner and his staff LOVE what they do and it shows. Their passion shines through and turns the whole experience into an EXPERIENCE. The food is outstanding, great wine list. Even dining alone you don't feel alone. Couldn't possibly recommend more and I eat out A LOT.

A great family dinner, some really interesting dishes and use of different chilies. If your offered an after dinner shot by the host you should try it, a very different experience.

Food was ridiculously good and service was exceptionally friendly. For 2 persons who were not too hungry, an entree, a main and a dessert more than sufficed. I don't recall the name of the dish now but the special entree that is designed like a Shepard's Pie was one of the most magical dishes I've ever tasted. The Brazilian Fish was excellent and the Chilli Chocolate special was absolutely a must try

On the weekend my wife and I went to Gramado's for dinner. I had heard few good things about the restaurant from the locals and I should say I wasn't disappointed. The staff were friendly and the owner Saulo was very animated and had a very upbeat personality which makes the place worth visiting. We ordered cassave cake for entree. The Cake was absolutely delicious, it had this texture of crunchy outside and felt like a cheesy inside, but wasn't cheese it was Cassava. It was served with chilli jam , which was absolutely amazing. I've never had a chilli jam before and it was to die for. For mains we had a rib eye steak and the specials for the day the Brazilian style pork belly. Again the food didn't disappoint. The steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare and it came with a delicious mushroom sauce and fries. The pork belly was amazing with brilliant crackling. The creamy potatoes with the pork with fantastic too. Personally I enjoyed the dinner , but felt that the portion sizes were too big for my liking. I personally prefer smaller portion size and not feel very full when I leave the restaurant. Overall fantastic experience, great staff food was good and we had a wonderful evening. Chur

We came in last night with a booking of 11 for our social club. The food was outstanding the service was outstanding honestly one of the best in blenheim and the chillie tasting was fun I was a chicken only had one! Keep up the great work will be back for sure!

Ate there on my recent trip to blenheim. A well decorated restuarant. Delicious food and gluten free people are well catered for. The best bit of the experience was the staff. So caring and family friendly. Nothing was a problem especially for my 2 wee ones. All the staff were so personable, caring and passionate about making our dining experience the best. 100% will be back.

Such a fun time, with good friends and a hilarious waiter. The food was superb. Having 'Happy birthday' sung to me by the whole restaurant was a nice touch, even though I cried... This was my 2nd visit to Gramado's and they didn't disappoint. I highly recommend it. Trip Advisor's award is fitting.

Dinner out with my wife. The service was excellent with attentive waiters who were available when we needed them but never in the way. I ordered the feijoada as a vegetarian option. It was excellent. There was a small issue with my order when it came out from the kitchen, but the waiter noticed it before I did and bent of backwards to correct it. Highly recommended.

I was a walk in (eating on my own) the place was busy, great atmosphere, the staff were friendly and I was served promptly. Delicious Brazilian fish that came with a serve of different types of chillies to try. Not a cheap meal but I walked away feeling satisfied . I am actually delighted that they managed to serve me so quickly considering tables were full with large groups of diners. 👍

OMG! What a treat to find such a fabulous restaurant on our driving tour of New Zealand. The food, the staff, the ambiance- all wonderful, and after too many meals of lamb, however delicious- the Brazilian Orange Roughy in Coconut cream was more than just good, it was fabulous. The portions were generous, and as we started to enjoy the flavors, Saulo brought over the selection of Brazilian hot sauces to compliment the flavor of the fish- they just blew me away. Even the small salad served with the dinner was fresh and tasty, and the Baily's and chocolate Cheesecake- well, that was a perfect finish to a very special dining experience.

This was one of the best restaurants I have eaten in in NZ. The host is lovely, the food incredible and the service excellent. We only stopped for a quick main, which was amazing. I said I liked spice so the owner came out with a plate of special chillies which elevated a stunning dish into the best Brazilian food and one of the best dishes full stop o have ever eaten. We paid for our mains and a waiter gave us a scope of pudding saying no one leaves Gramado's without something sweat. Such a nice touch. We then came back later for desert which was equally amazing. The owner recognised us and suggested a dish that he knew I would want, and he was right. Overall just a wonderful restaurant and worth a trip to Blenheim on its own, nevermind the wine.

What a fun and ambient atmosphere. The crew were a dream to deal with and gave us sneaky tips on how to eat our dessert & even gave us a shot of something delicious for us to enjoy as we are newlyweds on our honeymoon! Enjoyed it so much 5+++ thank you!!

Gramados far exceeded our expectations. The wait staff plus the owner made this an experience even before their wonderful food. We were in a party of 8 with everyone trying different mains. Loved every mouthful.

Brought my daughter here for an early Christmas dinner. They found a table for 2 for us and really went out of their way. The food was amazing and all the staff were friendly! I'll definately be back next time I come to visit my daughter.
