P.Had a wonderful Indian food after a long time.
Faluda and soya chap was the wining dishes. The mains were lovely too. Would recommend to visit this restaurant. Really nice food and friendly staff.
v.Really a great restaurant with an amazing food. A good hand shake to the chefs and f&b team. We went there on Christmas eve, had to wait long but it was totally worth it. Bit expensive but I think it's ok for sometimes as you will not be disappointed in regards with the taste.
G.Best place in town!! Amazing service and great atmosphere. The curries are out of this world - so much flavour and very generous portions. delicious foods 😋😋 specially Afgani chaap and mashroom are my favorite. and garlic naan as well . Amazing food and friendly staff . i often go there.
V.Nice food and fast service. The food is tuned for non Indian crowd. May not find authentic flavor. The staff has to be told about the tricks on Indian food style, you may not get any good recommendations as they know nothing about Indian food.
While I was at the restaurant, not once I was asked if the food is good and how I liked my water.
Good vegetarian options that's what gets my full marks.
A.An amazing place. Really awesome and authentic Indian food. We stayed for lunch on our way to Rotorua from Auckland and really loved it. An unexpected treat, all the dishes were perfectly balanced and full compliments to the chef. Highly recommended.

P.Food is excellent but no enough staff and service is very slow. If you dinning in, you need to be prepared for waiting. Overall experience is excellent
S.The location and parking is good. The size of the restaurant is ideal for larger groups and it caters for children too. The food is a mix of indian/asian/Chinese so lots of different tastes. Whilst there a dish came out from the kitchen to another table in the room that was sizzling putting fumes into the restaurant which then made most people cough due to the burning off of spices? It was quite bad and effected a lot of people. It took about 10 mins to die down enough to be able to talk again not the ideal conditions. I would say go try it out, staff limited but try to please. They could do with a better cleaner there in regards to door frames showing signs of constant hand marks. Both to kitchen area and bathrooms. A good dose of a cream cleaning agent would get that out I felt. Liked the high ceilings and colored glass.
N.I visited with my family after a while and I was conscious about the experience, so after spending some time decided to visit Royal Cambridge though it's 35km from my place.
Drinks were awesome.
Paneer Tikka was okay I would say, it could have been a bit more smokey and could have been served a little hot.
Tava veg won our heart, it was excellent in all areas: presentation, taste and selection of veggies.
Kadhai Paneer was great too.
Will visit again for sure 🙂

T.Definitely not disappointed! Hands down the best Indian I have EVER eaten! Garlic prawns and beef tak-a-tak are the best I've ever eaten. Service was amazing and the ambience was fantastic!! If I could have given more stars I would have!
A.First time in NZ I have seen a Salad bowl like this... it's big and really good. Salad is enough for 8 people and we were just 4 that time.

S.One of the best Indian restaurants we visited in New Zealand so far. We visited several times and ordered different food: all dishes are freshly made and they all taste differently and authentic. Very friendly staff as well. Nice Ambience & Huge Parking Space Available. Would very highly recommend if you're in the area or nearby.

You must try the tandoor paneer and salad delicious. It gets 5*all on its own being so freah get a seat by the open door and enjoy perfect summer light meal. Made fresh onsite daily.i disagree with this nnew below review talk to the Indian head of floor service he will change accommodate your taste and style.we always get Indian quality food.

M.Top curry spot in the Waikato. We tried it after recommendations from 2 Hamilton taxi drivers and it certainly delivered. Charcoal cooked entrees, wide selection of curries and delicious Indian sweets.

D.Took over an 1 hour to get our food. We did not order anything difficult to get ready. They said it was because they were "busy", the restaurant was half full and if they didn't have enough staff then that's poor management. As people ordered after us, got their food and eaten it by the time we were served, it's more likely to have forgotten about our order.
Peshwari naan we were served a) tasted nasty, flavour nothing like a Peshwari b) it was also burnt..

S.Hands down, this is the best Indian restaurants in the whole NZ serving the most authentic and delicious food, not like the artificial Indian foods they serve all around the country in the name of Indian food. Their curries were not just cream and sugar like at most Indian joints here and was full of flavour and character. Their Indo Chinese is to die for. Their chilli chicken reminded me of the hawkers in New Delhi. I can’t believe I never explored this hidden gem almost living here for a decade. Highly recommend.

K.Royal Cambridge is the best Restaurant in Cambridge.I personally really like the food. I had a lemon honey cauliflower from the very first day and that was amazing, fresh and tasty.
Also butter chicken is also my favourite. If we talk about staff, they are so nice. Always cooperate, clean and good serving at all time.
H.The food taste really good and we ordered Chicken Biryani and Buttered Chicken at lunch, and the food serving is enormous that I have to take away the rest of my Chicken Biryani. Price range is reasonable. Staff are friendly and warm and the ambience is really good.

P.We went for tea at Royal Indian on Saturday and thouroughly enjoyed it all. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food delicious and the best peshwari naan I've ever had.

S.This restaurant recently changed hands after being refurbished. The food has improved beyond recognition. We ate there yesterday, and I have to say it was by far the best Indian food I have eaten since we moved to New Zealand 11 years ago. Highly recommend.
R.This was an amazing restaurant with amazing hospitality! The staff and servers were always smiling, patient, and catered to our every need. The food was excellent and miles above other Indian restaurants we have tried prior. The entrées, especially the stuffed mushrooms and munchow soup were flavourful and artfully made - the raw ingredients component really stood out. Coming from an Indian - while many Indian restaurants claim to be authentic, Royal Indian truly proves this statement - we have never been as pleased and will definitely be coming back soon :)
J.Edit: 10/10/20. I am changing the stars from 2 to 5 after my visit today. Food was amazing. The lamb tak-a-tak and cheese nan was a deadly combo. Butter chicken and chili nan was delicious. The best is the service was amazing this time. I didn’t inform anyone about my last experience to get better service. Wanted to give another try. A good job done by the team!

I am not going to vouch for the food as it was just ok, but my main turn-off was the service. The guy at the register was busy with his personal calls and after appetizers were served he seemed to forget the main course. Before anyone jump a gun, this was on an afternoon where only two tables were being served. Try at your risk.

While reading others review, i cant belive this Gurnam guy talking nonsense. We found nothing wrong, even the young girl who was on her first day she came to ask us hows the food. So there is no chnace to go unhappy when they asking you for the food and any problem untill you are a competetor. Nice pinot gris i had and my partner had nice red pinot noir. Two paddock taste devine with lamb rogan josh. Will be back.

Had takeaway delivered. The butter chicken was ice cold. Onion bajis were burnt to a crisp. And gave us the wrong naan bread.
Then the delivery guy stood there staring thru the lounge window like a creep instead of using the door like a normal person. I just happened to catch him out of the corner of my eye otherwise i wouldnt have known he was there. Then grunted some sort of gibberish at me when i went out and he was handing over the food.

T.You won't find better Indian cuisine in the waikato! Been back so many times and consistently delicious!! Recommend the tak a tak and the Rogan Josh. Kids say it's the best butter chicken they have ever eaten!!
