Beautiful cafe with amazing food and friendly service. My husband had the pulled pork burger, which he said was the best pulled pork burger he's ever had. He's very picky with food so that was definitely high praise. My dad had the eggs bene and I shared the fried chicken waffle with my mum. Everything we had was well seasoned and well cooked. The fries that came with my husband's burger were amazing and easily one of the best fries we ever had - well seasoned, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It was a hot day so we all had iced coffees which were really good too. All in all, we had a fantastic brunch and would visit again if in the area.

Probably the best pulled pork burger I've had in NZ. Chips well seasoned and paired great with the saucy slow cooked pulled pork of the burger. Drinks a bit slow to come out, but you're in small town NZ so just sit back and relax. Worth stopping by for brunch.

So good that we went back two days after the first visit. Burger was delicious and didn't drip everywhere. The avocado and asparagus salad was rich with flavours.

Stopped in on way home from hamilton, great coffee, order eggs bene which refreshingly came on potatoe rosti rather than toast, delicious. The big breakfast equivalent came out, thick cut bacon, asparagus mushrooms etc looked the part and the taste matched, very impressed.

Tucked away in a very lovely subdivision area is this gem ! The restaurant has a bar area for drinks prior to dinner and an open non clostaphobic dining area. Service was fantastic and the food did not disappoint. The duck in crispy rice paper rolls was out of this world good as was basically everything else on the menu! We will be back without hesitation and highly recommend!!

Absolutely delicious. All the things I have tried on the menu so far has been beyond expectations. Recommend the flat iron for dinner some time soon... The Sunday roasts are amazing! They change it up each week so it’s you have to get there a few sunday to try this food!!

Highly recommend. Organised to have a family birthday celebration here and the staff (in particular, Katie) went out of their way to create a specific menu to cater for our needs and communicated regularly to ensure we were happy. We have been to the Bistro twice now and both times have been great. This time we had a warm welcome from the owner and were quickly seated. We got a nice spot outside with the heaters going and the kids could play on the playground. Our orders were taken fast and both drinks and food arrived quickly. The eggs Benedict and fish and chips were delicious. Coffee went down a treat and kids loved their Ice Chocolate Max with Ice Cream, Cream and Chocolate Fish. We would definitely go back again. Great service, great food and top location if you have kids.

First time coming in for a meal in a long time, great service! attentive wait staff and nice atmosphere. The fried chicken burger was insane. exactly what you would hope for in a $22 burger, I'd safely say this is the best fried chicken burger in Cambridge (yes I have tried them all). Will definitely be back soon!

Absolutely amazing! It is a slice of a major cosmopolitan cafe in Des Moines. My meal was as tasty as it was beautiful. The fresh squeezed orange juice was incredible. The eggs were perfectly cooked. My flat white was perfect. I will return!! I’m still confused about the Australian inspired bit. I traveled for months through Australia and this was way better and cooler than everything not in a major city. So much better than a bacon sandwich or a meat pie.

8 ladies had a wonderful lunch November 2020. Today March 2021 5 for lunch had reduced menu and meals lacked flavour. Bit disappointing. Nice venue though and staff great. In reply to which dishes lacked flavor..... The vegetarian found the eggs benedict with salmon missing something to really lift it. My dish with bacon was fine. Other friend found omlette likewise lacking flavor and salmon very mild. Two fish meals were great, especially the chunky home made chips. We will return though.

Really nice brunch had by all. The only thing I would note hence the 4 stars, was the tempura vegetables served with the seared tuna were a bit underwhelming. I was expecting a range of vegetables. I got carrot & beans. Tuna was delicious however. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. Coffee was amazing.

Nice setting and food was okay. Service was poor sorry. Gave wrong coffees and while they gave us free replacements we had to wait an hour for them. Then to top it off some of their patrons need to take parking lessons. Unless it was intentionally done of course. ☹🤬 Won't be going back I'm afraid.

Really nice - good coffee, good service. We went st about 8.30am, & there were about 8 customers in the place. I had the big breakfast, which was made with lovely local produce. I was a bit disappointed that there were only 4 little mushrooms, & not too sure about the mustard potatoes (a little too mustardy for my taste). Nevertheless, really yummy. My husband had the best roasted cheese sandwich. It had Smoked cheese on pulled pork belly, sauerkraut, gherkin & a cheesy sauce. Yu-Umm!

We loved our experience at St Kilda Cafe and Bistro. I had the Thai Beef Salad and it was beautiful, with lots of beef. My husband had the burger which was delicious and the fries were yummy and we also shared the Korean Fried Chicken - I recommend the hot option, it was yum! The cafe is really lovely with a great atmosphere a playground right outside which was perfect for the kids in our group. Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful and we can't wait until we can go back again.

The atmosphere was great. The wait staff did their best. The kitchen was a bit slow. We had a big table, but you couldn't say the place was busy, an hour plus wait after placing order not really acceptable. One of our group had their meal missed altogether. And everything was expensive. Would I go back......no.

We ordered the lamb and scotch fillet, food was ok. The red wine jus was very runny. Would prefer a thick shiny and flavourful jus. The lamb and beef were cooked well. Arancini entree was good. The rhubarb and apple crumble was yummy.

Very pleasant atmosphere. Classy yet family friendly. We have visited a few times and have enjoyed our meals, though it is on the expensive side. The vegan dish with eggplant was disappointing - just didn't seem properly cooked and was not at all filling compared to meat dishes the same price. I'd love to see some more plant-based options.

This is a quaint little bistro, popular with locals in the Cambridge suburbs. Their menu is a little all over the place though. Their small plates are delicious, the mains were fine but not worth the visit and then sadly the desserts were terrible (think frozen creme brulee, and a toffee pudding sundae that was all syrup and no pudding). Wait staff was friendly and attentive. They disappeared once we had dessert though, so I think they're well aware of that downfall.

Lovely food great service but very disturbing to see a chef running his hands through his thick black hair whilst preparing our meals not once but twice. Without washing his hands or using gloves he continued to handle food. Fortunately no hairs ended up in our meal. hygiene and food handling skills are a concern.

I ate here a few days and had ordered the French toast. Was certainly amazed with the elder flower presentation and portion size. I've been bit of a French toast connoisseur recently and it's the best that I've had in Cambridge and Hamilton. Prices can appear high but I think they are inline with other cafés that deliver restaurant standard food.
