Delicious Food, we went there after Greytown Mid-Winter Christmas Festival. Food quality and flavors were mind blowing. We will be visiting again definitely

Absolutely excellent curry! Flavor profile was sublime, onion baji and pakora were excellent, lamb saag and matter paneer were one of the best I've had in New Zealand, breads were also fluffy and crispy. Seriously one of my all time top ten curries. Highly recommended!

So amazing, I had the saag aloo and was once of the best I’ve had for sure, also super accommodating for me being vegan ! We got take away but will definitely dine in next time as the place was really nice and intimate and great service, thanks again we will def be back, so happy to have found great Indian just around the corner from where we moved :) also byo is a bonus!!

And enjoyable experience with friends. Charging corkage was unfair as the glasses provided were a mixed bunch and no ice bucket for wine. Food was excellent as was the waiter

Delicious food and super fast delivery! We were expecting our order at 6.25pm and they arrived at 6.... Butter chicken was delicious, just note that if you are spice averse it would pay to request a more mild version than the standard mild as it has a tiny bit of heat to it! Value for money too, have saved our leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Thanks team

We visit the Wairarapa regularly, I love dining at the Indian Taj Restaurant. My husband likes it because they have beef dishes on the menu. My favourite dish is Paneer Saag (yummy cottage cheese in spinach gravy). The menu lists delicious entrées, meals and sides. I recommend you visit when next in Carterton!

Delicious! Stopped in late and was welcomed warmly despite it nearly being closing time. Lamb korma was excellent with naan and bhaji freshly prepared, so tasty. Loved it - best indian I've had in ages.

Great service, quick delivery, great food! I have been in Carterton 3 years and thourougly enjoy eating Indian Taj. Normally we get delivery as we decide late that we want indian it is always delivered quickly and hot, the driver is alway happy and has a chat. Food is of good quality and taste and serving sizes are decent.
