Great food...seafood noodles, stewed beef and potatoes on rice, spring rolls & the chilli chicken was awesome🍜🍛🌮🍗😋😋😋

Mala i ordered seems to be a little overcooked(the vegetables are dry, not crunchy. The meat a little on the tough side). The season vegetables is good. Mapo is om the salty side, but goes good with the rice. The sweet and sour pork is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The food is consider good.

We loved Benson's when they were located on Columbo Street and now that they are in Riccardo we still enjoy our meals there just as before. BYO with a small corkage fee or buy from their selection of drinks. Recommended if you like authentic food.

Benson restaurant is most excellent. The szechuan beef and potato is the best, marrying szechuan and Western aesthetic into a combination that uses both brilliantly. The port and beans is delightful as always. The Benson salad is a delicious, spicy numbing and chilled delight! Completed with the combo fried rice, you will really enjoy eating here!!

This place was too crowded on a weekday evening when we went there. That shows how good the food is. We were 3 and we ordered a medium size soup and it was really huge :-). 5 people can drink it!. We then ordered a roasted duck and a pot of potato and chicken with chilli. Again the portion was huge and all 3 of us shared it. We had a couple of beers, soup and the dishes with rice for a $100. So money wise it was a worth place. Taste was absolutely awesome with amazing spices. Book a table in advance so that you need not wait when you arrive at the restaurant. They have a detailed menu with pictures of most of the listed items. So that gives you a good chance to choose if you are not sure about the items. Qucik service. The ambience is not too great but it's ok. I enjoyed the food here!

THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! The food was excellent the portions were large enough for two people and the prices were good compared to the amount of food you got. Worth every penny.

We visit this restaurant for lunch and sometimes dinner often. The food is great value for money. The size of the meals are good too. We only get two dishes and that is all we need to be full. The meals are delivered quickly and are delicious. The MaPo Tofu is excellent as well as the deep fried Tofu. The Rice and Noodle dishes are great too. The Stir fry dishes are so authentic and a must try too. Recommend this place for Lunch or Dinner

Food is very delicious. Their takeaway meals are packaged very well. The staff aren't the friendliest bunch but they are quick and efficient. It can get very busy here, especially around dinner time. Booking is recommended or you may have to wait a long time or use a communal table.

Best Chinese food we have found in Christchurch. Very delicious! We found the menu online, ordered over the phone and picked up. Phone service was a bit awkward but we got there in the end. Prices had gone up compared to what we saw online but well worth it for the scrumptious food.

This is a no-nonsense joint where the effort is spent in the kitchen, not on decoration. Some of the very best Chinese food in Christchurch. What to order? One word: eggplant. It's spicy, tangy, peppery, garlicky and 100% melt in the mouth. Bathroom is down the arcade and you have to ask for a key, but you're there for deliciousness not comfort, right?

4th visit to this place it's great food and efficient, friendly service. All the meals are delicious particularly the roast duck, dumplings and the whole fish. Spring rolls were a bit average but overall good value and nice cosy, clean place.

This is a very busy Chinese restaurant but the service is fast and efficient. The food is good quality with I am told the spices being imported direct from China. We were dining with a Chinese friend who was able to explain the dishes so everything we chose was excellent.

Our favourite restaurant that never fails to deliver. Spicy (chilli) eggplant, vegetables, steamed blue cod and the beef hot pot are our top choices but anything on the menu works well. The owners, one cooks the other is front of house have a strong clientele base for good reason. Great service, great food and very authentic food (The dumplings are great as well)

Bensons serve great traditional Chinese food! Always busy at dinner so book in. Not flashy but comfortable and clean. It is not expensive, 5 dishes was about $90 and it was enough food to feed 3 to 4 people easily.

I have been here two times, we ordered the spicy chicken and fried rice and pepper beef and some vegetables, I was looking forward to it,but when I tried them, the taste was not very good, I couldn't taste any spicy flavor in any dish, because I like spicy food very much and the Chinese food is very spicy, so I was a little bit disappointed ,but the service was very good, and the dishes came out to the table very quickly, actually it's ok
