m.First time trying this place as awful parking but tried the MC Gary today. Which had 2 patties 2 cheese an egg, bacon, hashbrown & MC Gary special sauce. Was ok I reckon the egg overpowered the meat though. Not sure where the MC comes from as nothing like big Mac sauce (which is what I was hoping for). Will definitely be back to try other things though as I seen its open until 2am Thurs/Fri & 3am on sat!
B.Big Gary's chicken burger was quite the saucy burger. The buns were fresh, the meat was moist and I was a little tipsy. It was a tasty time.
N.Delicious, but I miss the old recipe used for the chips.

M.I love big Gary's. Everyone I've been there sooo good. Just one thing maybe a little less sauce on the fully loaded fries they became a bit too soggy on the walk home and I literally live like three mins away
B.Great when intoxicated, will even do their best to provide mixers when it's midnight and all you have is a bottle of vodka. However I do hate myself after ordering the garlic butter chips, I did hate myself less after seeing a mate drink the butter out of the bag once he'd eaten the chips though.
R.The taco chips are not worth the money for what you get. I have made better myself. But OMG THE D'OH BURGER is such heaven.

D.Garlic chips are really good. As are the onion rings. Fish, to be honest was okay, but the burgers are divine. Well priced and a good selection. Service is quick, friendly and informative. Looking for a quick bite, Gary's is a great choice.
K.Big Gary’s it quite possibly the best night out you could ever ask for. No matter what uni D&B it was, or even if you’re just out for a snack, the team really has got you. I’ve got mad respect for the dude on the till, you’re my idol bro. Big Gary’s is and will continue being a regular designation of mine.
C.I don't think i ever need to look up another take out in Christchurch. Burgers are awesome and curry chips are just like what we used to eat back in the UK. The shop is great for waiting thanks to the awesome arcade games (take an extra few bucks). The service, every single time, has been welcoming and displays a great personality. Great people, awesome food.... And I'm vegan

A.Burger was good considering it was 2am, slight criticism was the cheese tasted like plastic cheese, and there was far too much bbq sauce in it. Basically tasted like eating crunchy bbq sauce. Which don't get me wrong I love bbq sauce, but at garnish levels only in my food. Furthermore, the oil the chips were cooked in tasted old, the chips were undercooked, the meal took much longer to make than the expected 10 to 15 minutes. I will return, but clean the oil and reduce bbq sauce next time

S.Excellent for a quick snack, lovely service and atmosphere. I love the teriyaki burger and the butter chicken loaded chips. Staff is very lovely and attentive.
J.Pretty good all the times ive been there and their late closing time is ultra convenient, real cool owners too, you two manage things so well!
Average food tho, id consider changing the fry oil or the prepackaged chips that you use. they're weird and yellow and greasy..
J.May as will go to McDonald's cheaper and the same quality food there pictures of there food is not true at all but they have friendly staff

P.Awesome little burger joint with great staff and food, I'll give 5 stars if they move to a bigger premises, love the arcade games but they could use a couple tables too.
A.Nice place to get burgers. There's very small area for waiting. But got few arcade game machines including a pin Ball one.
D.They make great burgers and have even better arcade games while you wait. Love it!

K.Big Garys is not your generic fish and chip shop. Big Garys offers a range of other sweet treats along with your meal. On top of this they are open quite late every day of the week. This is especially helpful for those looking for food after a night out.

A.Veganlicious burgers, ugly broccoli, spring rolls, chips - all fantastic! Hot sauce nice and spicy. Great service, great food.
D.What’s the point of living? What is a birthday? Who is my dad? Does space really matter as much as we think it does? All of these questions float through my head when I bite into a couple of sweaty burger patties between two donuts. And all of the sudden it doesn’t matter. I don’t know where big Gary is, but he figured it out. And most importantly he figured me out. I feel the McGary sauce coursing through my hot body, and it feels as if I’ve been pumping it this whole time. Cheers, big Greg :)
