J.What a great dining experience. Not only was the service so personal, but also a very satisfying meal. The lamb chops seem to be a hit as most of the customers had ordered it. The portion was generous and tasty. Pizzas were also very popular. Between a 1/2 rack of lamb and a large pizza, the meal was completely filling for two people. Also, love their bar motto, “Doubles served unless otherwise requested.” Would drive out of my way to go here again.
D.Wow! One of my favorite meals on my whole trip of New Zealand, and situated in the smallest town I visited - very unexpected. Got the half rack of lamb and it was just amazing. The fries were incredible too. Anyone travelling through lake Tekapo/Fairlie area needs to come here! A hidden gem! Value for money is incredible!
P.This one is really a hidden gem! Who would have thought we will get that an awesome steak in such a small town? The accompanying vegetables were cooked to perfection as well. We usually hate beetroot but it was awesomely done here. The ambiance is fantastic as well!

After reading a review by an Italian recommending pizzas, I needed to give it a try given I’m Italian too! We never joke about pizzas... and in fact our Margherita was delicious! Real Italian sliced mozzarella, tasty tomato sauce and extra fresh basil leaves.
We paired it with a lamb rack to have the perfect New Zealand + Italy combination. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy! Good range of vegetables served with the lamb.
Awesome service: the staff was friendly and smiley and made our dinner lovely. Thank you!

J.This place is literally one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. I would consider this the epitome of ‘hidden gem’. I have a feeling the most renowned food critics would call this an oasis of everything a restaurant should be. The chef seems super passionate, did all the work by himself. He was really busy and seeing him work so hard I knew we’re gonna get treated with good food. Everything was so delicious, great flavors, just the right amount of spices and herbs. The lamb was cooked perfectly medium/medium well. The portions are generous. The French fries were perfectly crisp and home made. The ambiance is super cute and the whole place is meticulously decorated with little thought through Knick knacks. You must go here when you’re in NZ. This place is worth a 2 hour detour if you have to.

J.We ordered the lamb amd veggies and chicken camembert pizza. Food was top notch. The pizza was generous with the toppings and had a decent crust. The lamb was cooked perfectly and was tender. The food was a little pricey, but well worth the money spent.
M.We found this by accident, after a bit of an unplanned emergency stop in the town. We went in because we saw a sign they had a proper pizza oven and stayed for the most delicious lamb rack and steak! Beautifully garnished, everything was thought through to the last detail. The meats were delicious and we added a portion of french fries, not realising the main dish came with delicious baked potatoes. But we didn’t regret it all because these were also some of the best freshly made fires with the most flavourful potatoes we’ve had in a while. If you have a chance to stop by, we can’t recommend it enough. Service was very quick and helpful as well.

S.Stopped for some dinner in fairle and found this amazing place. Had the full lamb rack for $42.50. This was genuinely the best lamb I've ever had in new Zealand! The meal came with roast potatoes, seasonal veg and pickled red cabbage. Friendly staff and good vibes. Loved everything. Delicious!!

Upon entry we were greeted with a smile, seated and promptly served.
The Garlic pizza entree was absolutely delicious, which preceded the most AMAZING Lamb rack I have ever put my taste buds to!
If you are passing through or staying near this town you’d be short changing yourself to not pop in here for a meal! Fantastic setting, friendly staff and food that is second to none!
