T.Everything is so nice about this place. The food. The staff. We had the combo meal. It’s totally worth the money. The coconut chutney (I think 😬) and the chilli sambal is the best. The staff are really patient and kind and are happy to explain what’s what.

n.It is inside the food court. The famous Sri Lankan cusine stall in the city. I don't find it so tasty. But of course fair enough in NZ. A place to try Sri Lankan food items, in Christchurch. They offer dinning in and take away. The bother is their open hours. They recently have increased the price. Which I am not fond of. You can not enjoy the same sensation of a Sri Lankan food there if u r used to eat hot and spicy. That is understandable because they have to serve Kiwis as well. But when u order something like a Kottu, which is made for u at the time of ur order, then u can customize.
Now, they have introduced new food items such as fish-bun which tastes.. But the issue is you will not have parking most of the times. That is something u want to consider and in a way it has to be a facility provided for their customers but as per the location, it is not practical too..
N.Delicious food. Tried it the first time. Had the lamb curry and have to say did not dissapoint one bit. Will be going back again next week.
M.Great food. Lovely ambience and great customer services. Prices are reasonable. I have tried a few things here loved all the food. Especially kothu roti is so filling and their fish curry is awesome.

a.Must try if your a tourist!! $12 for rice and currey with a selection of meet choices! Must try the k— roti (didn’t know how to spell it sry), but its under the rice and currey option. They’re open only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday’s, and Fridays. I’m giving them a 10/10.
M.Delicious. Would give 10 stars if I could. I Had the Beef Kothu. Best kothu ever. My partner had the rice and curry, her favourite was beetroot curry. Good chicken curry also. Unfortunately we don't live in Christchurch other wise we would eat here all the time.
C.The food is insanely good. So many flavours and the perfect spice. Deserves way more than 5 stars. Added bonus is you can enjoy this food for dinner while sitting in two thumbs bar!

U.I always eat whenever I visit CHC CBD. Easy to find. Best food place in the town. SriLankan takeaway is the best option. Tasty food, value for money,friendly atmosphere and people. Easy to park and walk around. Highly recommended.

H.Book yourself a one way trip to the subcontinent in this delightful family run affair. The cabinet curries steam gently to catch your eye, but for me it's all aboard kothu roti train, choo choo! Every time it hits the spot, with it's crispy fried roti mixed with fragrant spices mixed through out. The bro even chucked a slather of curry over the top after seeing the lusty look in my eyes staring at the curry cabinet. I reccomend you get on down before they take over.

C.Incredible food at this place. Great selection of different dishes are available here. We sampled several of them during our last visit to The Yard and we were blown away by the quality of the food.
The chicken curry was the highlight; the curry sauce was hearty and vibrant, the chicken was super juicy and flavourful.
Definitely check this place out.

b.Authentic , definitely recommend if you never had Sri Lankan cuisine. Kothu Parota was a bit different from what I had previously but the one Sudath (the chef) dished out was simply delicious. Went there for lunch and ordered a medium (must say, it did fill me up). Menu is priced very well and for the taste and authenticity, this has to be there up there with the best. Good work team Ceylon Kitchen, see you soon!!!
c.I’m highly recommending this place to who like to consume or taste Authentic Sri Lankan dishes, most of the curry flavours blown away and unique “Koththu” dish one of the best one I ever tasted. Staff are really amazing to suggest anything and helpful, I suggest to keep filled jug of water to patrons drink it. Wanna taste best Sri Lankan curries? Go there buy anything for reasonable prices.

A.I have lunch here at probably 3 times a week. The vegetarian Kottu Rotti is simply amazing. I have no idea what it is... its kinda a noodle stir fry with spices and veggies, but oh it is incredibly tasty. The first time I tried it, i was so blown away, I came back and had it for dinner as well. If you like flavorful and spicy foods, you should absolutely check this place out.
C.One word "unique" there is honestly no where else like this in the city and it's fantastic, can't get enough!
The only issue we have is clarity around opening times, we'd love to come more often but it's usually closed.

R.My first try at Sri Lankan food and it was delicious, the crispiness of the rotis from the outside along with the softness from within, fried with the different spice mixes and being healthy at the same time. Somthing similar to an Indian dish of 'roti churi' but a complete different take. Loved it!

Lamb is just well-cooked. the owner is very friendly always with smile on his face. Price is quite affordable, wanna try other cuisines from there as soon as possible !

B.I went there for lunch with my colleagues. We stumbled this shop and weren't sure if the food is good or not. I decided to order lamb curry with the sambal chilli 🌶 and it really spice up the food. It was hot 🔥 but very nice. Plenty of flavours and the portion size was big (not huge, but the whole plate 🍽 was filled with the meat 🍖 and veges and rice 🍚.
There is no washroom to wash your hands 👐 or doing your #1 or #2 😄😆. Anyway, the nearest washroom will be located at the central bus 🚍 terminal/ exchange.
Plenty of parking 🅿 at the surrounding area. However, as this stall is situated next to the busy road (i.e. Colombo Street), it will gets dusty during dry days.
There were three tables and a handful of chairs. I do recommend that you get a table before ordering the food if you want to dine in. If not, then you need to do a takeaway.
They accept cash, EFTPOS and credit card payments, for those who want to know.
The owner was super friendly and cheerful. He gave me extra sambal chilli 🌶.
Would I go back? Yes 😏

D.Theres nothing I can say about this place that's already be said except, imagine your best friend is from Sri Lanka and hes invited you home to have dinner cooked by his parents. That food is what you can expect here. Tastes fantastic, price extreamly cheap and service beyond excellent and friendly!

S.This place is really easy to over look because of its hours, building, and location. Ceylon kitchen made some of the best for I've ever had. The owner is an artist, not a business man, and out shows in his food. The kottu roti combination is a must try. I want to go to Sri Lanka because of this place.

S.The price was right and it was cute little place in the middle of construction. I think you'd need to know that you already enjoy that style of food. I got a $12 lamb curry, rice, beans combo. The quantity was large but I didn't finish my serve because I just didn't enjoy the food. My colleague didn't rave about his pastry either.
