J. R.Top notch filo and panini and custard sq. Good to see seats have been updated with better padding. Atmosphere very nice. Only spoilt by the radio station, The Rock. Not a suitable station for a cafe, because it is not the relaxing type of music most patrons prefer. Suggest Star Radio.
B.Came here awhile and wanted to leave a rating. The chicken sandwich I got was hands down the best chicken sandwich I ever had, had the perfect amount of chicken with mayo and tomato and it was amazing. The hot chocolate was also awesome and my mum got a vegan pie and she said it was the best vegan pie she ever had. Definitely want to come back asap

D.Very very good pies. Mince and cheese was delicious.. plenty of flavour. Affordable for the quality. The pastry was golden and tasty, but thin. Pie lacked stability. Possibly too much salt but that’s being picky. Overall excellent and highly recommend.

R. S.Claude’s is absolutely my favorite cafe in christchurch. The staff are friendly, the coffee is perfect, and the food is amazing. I bring friends that are vegan, vegetarian, or gluten/dairy free and everyone leaves happy. For vegans, the mushroom pie and the berry choc muffin are amazing, and i’ve heard the steak pies are brilliant too. My only downside is that they aren’t open weekends but it’s forgiven, considering their consistent high quality service and food!

Oh and VEGAN CUSTARD SQUARES. I was soo happy to find this place and then proceed to stuffing my belly with all of these delicious treats. Vegans don’t have to miss out on their old favourites anymore thanks to cafes like this. Next - can you please make vegan lolly cake and vegan potato top pies?

A. J. S.Wonderful friendly staff, amazing fresh food whether you're there for a quick pie on your lunch break or a sit down meal there will be no disappointment. The coffee is always spot on, and their home made chai is fantastic.

Please dont go here though cos they're already busy enough. It's the kind of place you go to and they remember your order and start making it soon as I walk in the door. I like that. Thats cool. A.I always love visiting Claudes kitchen with my dad. Its an unasuming little cafe but the sandwiches and pies are the best. You can have dogs in the courtyard which is great. The staff are nice and friendly.

S. V.The pies here are excellent, with tasty, thin pastry and fillings that are full of large chunks of meat (at least in the steak pies I've tried).
The hot chocolate could stand to be about three times stronger though, but the pies make up for this shortcoming (as would a heavier hand with the chocolate sugar powder).
