Z.Awesome dumplings, amazing staff, well priced.....the above review was 2 years ago, I was hoping the food was as good as I remembered was it ever, this is a tastebuds experience the eggplant is a must have even if you don't like eggplant you will love this the dumplings are still devine and the noodles yum yum yum. This is a hidden gem!

The flavours really popped.
The hospitality from the lovely owners made the experience even more enjoyable. Will definitely be popping in again when in Christchurch

K.Went here for a bite to eat in the afternoon... was craving dumplings. The service was friendly and the restaurant was very quiet so was quite a chill place to sit, eat, chat. The dumplings were really good, we tried the chicken and mushroom filling. The polenta fries were decent but the dumplings are what I’d go back for. Can imagine this restaurant being a good option to dine with a small group and share a number of the small plates together to try different flavours. Nice spot!

A.This was a good stop for a small lunch. It was in-between standard meal times, so it wasn't busy and we had the place about to ourselves. We ended up getting the buns, fried chicken and Asian slaw, all of which were tasty. The house-made lemon-lime and bitters was just ok.
The one thing is that what we ate wasn't what we initially wanted... Initially, we ordered different food, but the waitress almost seemed like she wanted us to order these specific things, and kept pushing us to get them instead of what we had ordered. Finally, we gave up and just got them, and they were good, and it was just the right amount of food for 2 people who weren't super hungry... but it felt weird. Maybe she didn't want the cook to have to make what we wanted? Our maybe she thought that we'd enjoy these dishes more? Not sure... But in any case it ended up being a nice small meal.

Stagf were very helpful given this was just before lockdown in Nz. However 11$ for a drink and 21$ for dish is over priced. But definitely once a visit

D.First time dining in and I was very satisfied with the quality of the food! Crispy eggplants is a must and the steamed bun with Asian fusion pork belly filling is just the perfect ending for a short stop! I will definitely recommend this lovely place !
b.If you're craving Asian food in Christchurch, this is good Chinese. The dumplings are cooked in chili oil and taste authentic. Menu is actually pretty broad, so you can have dinner here no problem. Ambience is good and prices aren't crazy.

M.We had lunch at Duo today and tried five of their small plate dishes from the new menu. They were delicious, well presented and great value for money, especially the Chinese fried chicken (beautifully cooked and dressed perfectly with a cucumber and cress garnish). The service was spot on. A definite return venue.

A.The Thai Yellow Pumpkin curry was to die for. One of the best we have ever eaten. It was the perfect consistency, creamy dollops of curry sauce.
The eggplant was also outstanding and to die for. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and explosion of flavour when you finish the crunch.
The other things we had we felt were average (bao and polenta chips) but that curry though!
Lychee Mojitio needs a lot of work.
I.Popped in for a beer and saw a dumplings and beer special. Grabbed the special and was pleasantly surprised at how yummy dumplings were. Also had Carlsberg on tap so that was a nice treat.
T.We had an excellent meal at Duo, the food was really good, the eggplant dish was f***ing delish. Service was both fast and friendly, we will be back.
A.Nice and quiet place near Hagley park to pop in for coffee or a beer with a small snack or lunch menu. Their French onion soup in winter or Wanton soup in summer is excellent. The place is nice and quiet to catch up with friends and have a conversation or even to read and relax while having a break.
