E.Great food especially their fish and chips very tasty. Their fish is really big .Overall great value for money. As of recent are getting quite popular so recently their have been bigger ques and more crowded. Recommend ordering in advance. But when waiting it is good to go shopping next door at new world . Overall great place.
L.I've tried every fish and chips shop in the halswell area and halswell seafood centre is by far the best! Delicious crumbed cod and yummy homemade spring rolls! We will be buying from here for all future f & c feeds!

C.I am surprised with the poor review. While waiting for my order, I understand from a regular customer that this place has changed ownership about a year ago. The place is neat and clean. Fish are fresh, large and non-greasy. It has been a long time since we ate good quality, non-greasy fries! Value for money and definitely will purchase our Fish and Chips from this shop from now on.
B.Absolutely awesome staff super friendly, the food is by far the best in the area, least greasy and the chicken salt you can choose to get on your chips is absolutely delicious. Chicken nibbles and the prawn twisters are my go to! Thanks guys

P.Surprised by the negative review too. As a true regular I have to say something for this shop. ownership changed more than half a year, the quality has been improving a lot but the price never gone up. The normal and special fish are larger and the portion of the chips has become a bit larger, too. The portions of chips are not as big compared to other fish and chips shop but the quality is the best I can find in a fish and chips shop! New products added, free fresh menus, smiley and warm welcome staff. Can see that the new owner has put in a lot of effort to get things done better. Every Friday night, you will see that the shop is real busy anf full of customers, but the quality is still incredibly good. If this shop is as bad as said in those negative reviews, it wouldn’t be like that.

T.We love this fish and chip shop, it's our local. John is really friendly and even filleted and cooked some fresh fish we had for free. Really nice guy. The fish are fresh and a good size, and the chips are really good compared to other chip shops. You do get less in a scoop but in our opinion the quality is better. If John is there, go to him - he's the best cook there by far!
J.I'm surprised by the negative reviews here on this shop. I tried this place last week. The owner John took my order and cooked my order. I only ordered 1 Fish and 1/2 a scoop for $4.70 it's similar price to other shops I've been to. And the size of the standard fish and 1/2 scoop is decent for a 1 person feed in my opinion. Oil seemed clean on the day I ordered as you can tell when eating it, and wasn't greasy on the paper. So my experience for my particular order was pleasant. I will try again to see if my opinion is still positive and update.
