S.We had the steak and ribs platter with chips which was perfect for 2 people to share. Meat was cooked perfectly with great flavour and seasoning. Ribs were perfect, fall of the bone tender. Well presented.
Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. I will definitely come here again.
c.We went out for lunch and went to the palms and decided to call in to Jaba as was so quite so thought would try it out and jeez was not disappointed! We got a mixed grill platter for 2 and a bread platter. 5/5 for both they were both perfect and couldn't fault at all. Thanks so much will definitely be back
I.What a pleasant experience! It was our first time at Jaba Grill and we are sure that we will be visiting again. It was the one in The Palms that we visited for having lunch. We tried the Black Angus Rump and the Hereford Ribeye (21 days aged). Perfectly cooked steak on charcoal with marvelous salad and chips! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staffs were very friendly and helpful. The A must visit for steak lovers!!!
D.Excellent food, excellent friendly service. We had the garlic bread as entree and the Skewer platter to share, it was plenty. The dipping sauces in the platter were delicious, especially the Chimichurri! And special mention to Jamiroquai, our server, whose service was absolutely impeccable! Will definitely be back

Unfortunately I couldn't give a higher rating as service was a let down there were 5 of us and one other couple in the restaurant with two servers out front both on their phones the whole time we were there.
Perhaps it was a one off never know but steak was very nice.

N.Tonight I dined for two at Jaba Grill and Bar at the palms. I’ve eaten at this Venue before and had a great experience. However, this time I did not have the desired experience I had last time. We ordered and our food took a considerable time to arrive, both main and desert. Our mains were delicious and perfectly complemented by in house cocktails. Our deserts were a lot less impressive unfortunately. I would recommend Jaba Grill and Bar as a reasonable venue to dine with a perfect serving for dinner.
J.We ordered the mixed grill platter for two. I really enjoyed the steak, chips, salad and one of the dips. My partner likes the skewers and the chicken. Really nice ambience in the restaurant and the staff were lovely.
T.Loved the beef brisket hamburger which was in gluten free bun. Nice to have burger with pull apart meat and salad without all the add ons like runny egg etc.
Flavours were delicious and homemade chips and tomato sauce with a hint of rosemary? Well worth a visit and great prices that is affordable.
J.Always a good place to have steak. I do prefer the old menu though, which has this really nice starter dish with little cherry tomatoes (I forgot what it was called), but it's not available anymore.

G.Went for dinner - Although not busy - the food was a bit slow coming out. But man, it was worth it!!!! Our table ordered the squid (absolutely fantastic and tender), beef brisket burger with chips - burger was excellent - but the chips weren't a hit to be honest. Another plate had sirloin steak. Requested Medium Rare.. And it was cooked to perfection! Another plate ordered was the pork ribs. Absolutely DELICIOUS and tender. Desserts were fantastic too. Great decor with really comfortable seats. Fantastic staff with big smiles on their faces when interacting with each and the customers. Will definitely be coming again. Great job!
T.I absolutely love going to Jaba. The food is always so fresh and flavorsome and they always deliver in quality. It's often hard to find a restaurant which makes a good salad to accompany a good steak meal but these guys make some cracker bunny food to accompany their main courses. They also have an excellent beverage selection. The rest rooms are impeccable but it's a bit of a shame they are on a higher level. It's not exactly ideal for those with accessibility issues. That said, a lovely place for one to go for a good hearty meal.

R.If I was only rating the steak and the service it would be five star. The chips that come with the meal are hand-cut Agria but they sound better than they taste. There good but not great. The pricing is fair value for money though.
So although I am not raving about the place I'm pretty likely to go back.

The manager came over took one look at my steak and offered to replace it
My replacement was worse than the original with my steak being totally burnt on the outside 😒
Anyway will not be coming here again

T.I come here fairly regularly and always have a good time. Just one small suggestion: maybe just avoid charring the outside of the steak too much, sometimes it can taste like eating charcoal.

C.Dined in at Jaba Grill last night for the first time last night. Main meals of the Salmon and T-Bone steak were cooked to perfection. Accompanying sauces were well paired. The relaxing environment together with the exceptional service made Jaba Grill and Bar one of my top restaurants to revisit in Christchurch.
E.First time here at lunch. Amazing burgers only $18 with lovely chips. Way better than the disappointing food at The Fox. Really reasonable drink prices. Deserves to be busier
