V.If you like Italian food, La Porchetta Riccarton is the ideal place. Go alone, with friends or family, but be sure to go and enjoy delicious and very well prepared dishes.
The place is quite spacious, the staff who work there are very friendly and attentive and if you need suggestions they are readily available to help.
I ordered a rib steak with mushroom sauce, accompanied by Italian salad and fries. The sauces were divine, the meat seasoning was perfect and the cooking point of the meat was just the way I like it.
I will definitely go back there and recommend it to my friends.

T.Must visit Italian restaurant in Riccarton. If you are trying to impress your date or just ticking out your foodie list, this restaurant will give you the best Italian dish ever. Coming from a country that full of spices and people who love sweet kind of spaghetti, their version of Carbonara in La Porchetta greatly suites my taste.
We order Italian salad with olives, Italian pizza, carbonara, tiramisu, arancini and panna cotta for experiencing the Italian kind of experience.
The restaurant gave us powdered cheese and some peppers if we like to add more taste upon our food.

M.We visited on Christmas Eve and were pleasantly surprised. Husband enjoyed a delicious perfectly cooked steak and I had a mushroom and chicken fettuccine. Both meals were of a generous size and well presented. Table service was friendly and efficient. Worth a repeat visit.

H.Great portion sizes for meals. Left feeling full and good value for money. Staff checked on us quite regularly to ask if we needed anything or if meal was okay. Can be seen as annoying but we saw it as great service.

A place to go for good Italian craving!
J.Went here for dinner on boxing day last year, the pasta was so good !! We also had a very yummy pizza and fries on the side with aioli, they really didn't skimp on the aioli ! Overall the food was very yummy and I can't wait to go back again soon :)

Lovely friendly waitress without being too effusive and a lovely young man who helped move a table with a child to a more suitable spot. Super helpful, not a frown in sight...... good staff make a place. And the house pinot noir is quite acceptable too!

J.were walking by and thought we would compare this place with our favorite Italian restaurant. Staff were very friendly and food was OK We ordered a Pasta & Risotto main with a side of bread. asked for it to come all together. the bread came straight away but the mains took 50 min. felt like ages and we were left alone the entire wait. not even asked if we would like another drink. didnt seem busy either on a Wednesday evening

L.Fast and good service, have always been a favorite place of mine as the food was just soooooo good. Unfortunately food was not the greatest on our last visit, left disappointed due to the lack of flavor. The pizzas have always been iconic but unfortunately didn't cut it this time.

B.2nd time visiting. Food that makes you happy! And you must try the cheesy garlic bread!!!! Abso flipping amazing! (excuse the language). It's that good. The large pizzas are huuuuge! And well priced menu. You get more than you expect in terms of food and experience. Lovely for a date night and with the movies across the road it's a perfect combo. Highly recommend
A.Awesome service from our waiter Mitch. I get really nervous going to restaurants with large menus due to allergies and the risk of cross-contamination. The waiter we got was really knowledgeable about any allergens and even came back to ask more specific questions about the nature of my allergies after speaking to the chef. Food and service was first rate. Definitely coming back.
Y.I was very disappointed with my Ribeye, overcooked and very grisly. Way too expensive for what I got. Won't be going back.

R.Overall we had a decent experience at La Porchetta. All the servers were very nice, unfortunately it seemed that they were very understaffed for a busy Saturday evening. We had a Margherita pizza which was absolutely delicious! Sadly the meatballs we ordered didn't come out until we were almost done our meal but we weren't too upset as we understand the difficulty of being understaffed; however, for an Italian restaurant the meatballs were disappointing with not much flavour. Taking everything into account I would say the price value was accurate to our experience.
S.Tried last Saturday for the first time in my life- and the chicken pizza was sooooooo delicious sooo yumm.....it was holy- from now onwards I am coming only and only to la porchetta for pizzas. It's really a must try place.Woukld have given it 10/5 stars- my first experience was so good.And even the staff knew each and every thing about the menu-which one is spicy,which one's more popular.Very very happy with the staff as well as with la porchetta.

K.The pasta was fine, exactly what you'd expect from a chain restaurant. However the service was below average. 2 pasta dishes for our table had been forgotten and eventually came out looking slightly dry (compared to the others) like they'd been waiting in the kitchen for service. When the waitress brought them out she hastely dumped them on the table with no apology about the wait.
Having worked in hospitality, I would totally understand if the restaurant was busy. Unfortunately it was a quiet Wednesday night.
A.The food was delicious and our experience was mostly good other than one staff member.
My daughter cannot have dairy, the kids meal comes with icecream, when we ordered, the waiter (Logan) said that there is a a vegan option he can give her, when it came time for dessert, the next waiter said no to this as "it is too expensive, you can pay extra for it", imagine being a child and being told that you can have dessert then being told you can't, following this, the original waiter came over again to ask if my daughter was ready for dessert, I let him know what had happened and he came back with dessert for my daughter.

L.Go here at least once a week and the food is always served hot, fresh and delicious. The Italian feel in the restaurant is minimal, but the staff are always welcoming with open arms. The prices are average, 20+ dollars for a large bowl of pasta, (that you usually take home with you!) $12-18 for a small to large Pizza and $30+ for an incredibly cooked steak. If you're a true pizza fan, I recommend the 'Meat Lovers' or Previously the 'Americano' pizza, and if you love pasta, then the Fettuccine is definitely worth the price.

Made me a fresh pizza and had it delivered and offered a free drink despite no fault on their part. Food was tasty too.

L.We had a family dinner at La Porchetta last night for our daughter's fourth birthday, there were eight adults and three children. We had been given a $100 Westfield card, so not being local, it's not somewhere we probably would have chosen of our own accord. After checking online it seemed like a great place for a family dinner, so we booked.
I must admit, we were a little put off by the reviews, but boy am I glad we didn't listen to them. My T-Bone steak was huge, perfectly cooked, and only cost me $25. It would easily have cost $37 elsewhere. My partner had ravioli, I tasted it, perfectly cooked and very tasty. Others had pizzas, one in our party commented there was a little too much red onion for him, but otherwise were very well received.
The best part were the kids meals, for $10 they got a drink (supposed to be fizzy but happily gave my children pure orange juice instead), a main and a dessert. For ten bucks. I was ecstatic. We paid for 3 starters, 2 main meals, 2 kids meals and drinks for us, it came to $93 all up.
The atmosphere was nice, the staff friendly, and we all had a great time. If you read this review and you have a great night, please do come back and let people know. It's a shame that reviews do tend to swing in the direction of the negative, because you expect to get good service, and people only tend to post on the odd occasion when they don't. Five stars!
B.What an awesome place to bring a family group out for tea. 11 of us all got our meals at the same time. The service and atmosphere was so warm and friendly. We had 7 adults a teenager and 3 younger ones and we all said we would come back for our next catchup

G.I hadn't heard great things about this place, and I wasn't let down. This was my first visit.
I went with a group from work. 6 people crammed into a 4 person booth, but i suppose this isn't uncommon these days.
Things started ok, with prompt and frequent attention. Our drink order was taken, and then our food order. That's when things went sideways.
The restaurant wasn't busy (about a quarter of the booths were empty), but it took more than 50 minutes to bring out our food. ONE MEAL AND ENTRE WAS COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN. When we advised our server, she went to check, and we heard nothing. 10 minutes later we asked another waitress, who went to check, and we heard nothing back. Finally we got our original server, who check her order pad to confirm the order and went away. She came back a few minutes later advising it would only be a few minutes. By this time, everyone else had finished. We also had no one check up during the meal, or check for more drink orders.
Overall, the food was reasonable value, and flavoursome, but I probably wont go back.
When it came time to pay, the late meal was removed from the bill, which is the least we expected.
A.A good cheap meal with decent portions...I only wish I'd opted for the entree size pasta so that I had room left for dessert.
N.Food was lovely. Staff were adequately accomodating. Just couldn't believe the petty policy on paying for extra sauce with vegan wedges. So vegan wedges come with one sauce. Non vegan wedges come with 2. But want to charge for extra. They finally gave in, but why have that in the first place? And ashame for a place with a decent vegan and vegetarian menu to not serve dairy free coffees.
T.Went there on the 22 March, 3 days before the lockdown. A little expensive, but the service was impeccable, and the food absolutely delicious. Loved the prawns! Will certainly return!

R.It's ok but not what I would call great Italian. Pleasant enough with tasty food. Service is good but a bit spasmodic at times. Can get very busy so that tells you it's not too bad. Have had quite good pizza here and the meats balls are pretty good too.

S.I used to love this place not as much any more I feel some of the food has gone a bit downhill like the wedges used to be amazing, the food is no frills and the price reflects this so if you are after some pizza in a casual setting than this place is great, they do have mains as well but I find them a bit too pricey. J.Foccacia ripenia cheese pizza. This is the only place that still does it. It's the best pizza there is.
Also, went back again recently and although they made a slight mistake with my order they fixed it without any worries and were so nice about it I left feeling great.
J.I like to come here for dinner with friends. It is reasonably priced and I find you get plenty of food. The service is always fine. I have never seen it really busy even when I visited at 6:30pm on a Thursday night in December.
M.First visit. We visited on a Saturday evening, the food was served in 15 minutes. The front of house asked about the pax, grabbed some menusm and walked away without saying anything. We were supposed to follow her. Then we didn't have cutlery in our table. When requested one of the waiters who was cleaning another table placed the napkins, forks and knives for each of us. She was carefree about touching the cutlery, putting her fingers in the place that contacts the food.
The menu states many options for GF, V and GF. However pasta dishes are available with Penne only, not as described in the menu (no spaghetti or fettuccini, for example).
Food was average.

S.Ok people, I am back!!! The cranky bus driver from Canberra. Lolong and Mike were our hosts for the meal. Sweet chilli chicken pizza was great, raspberry spider was even better. Pizza came out in 11 minutes. Lolong was attentive to our needs. Pricing was reasonable.
I am struggling to think of a La Porchetta in Australia that would match this one.
