My family and I walked in as 4 and it was absolutely packed we thought we wouldn’t be served and we would been waiting for hours for a food. Mains came in 10 mins and 10 mins after our mains we were served promptly with profession and were out 10 mins later. Thank you so much we will be back :)

Just had a meal here with my girl before coming out the menu online which had a huge range I couldn’t wait to come down for a meal. Staff were very friendly and professional overall the restaurant had a really good vibe. Our starters came within 15 followed then by our mains 15 mins later even with nearly all the tables filled. Will be back for sure perfect way to eat out at an affordable price. Thank you little India I was very impressed.

Amazing food and service. Normally very very busy however gets the food to your table quote fast. Great staff. Surprising amazing quality toliets with marble walls. The restaurant is a very efficient business. Loved it and would come again.

We have come here twice now, the staff professional and friendly. The food was delicious both times we went. I ordered a hot dish and boy it was hot. But I do not regret it as it was amazing. Environment is clean, well organized. Only issue is the toilet is out in the mall, not hard to find but still a little inconvenience. Didnt disrupt our dining experience

A longtime customer here. I’ve eaten in and had takeaways from Little India multiple times. This restaurant is very much a staple takeaway in my household. The quality has been maintained over the years and we all love it - has something for everyone. Loads of veggie options, and love all their veggie starters.

Good food, a unique take away dish that nearly everyone in the family would enjoy, only reason for 4 stars is because food that is to be picked up is usually an hour later than is stated to be ready.

Hands down some of the best food I've ever had. We visited late after a long day travelling and it hit the spot and then some. The benchmark was raised and has not been met since. Looking forward to having the borders reopened to travellers so we can return one day.

Tastegasm magic. One big problem is I'm not going to try anything else on the menu now, because I'm going to have to order the same meal I already had, over & over again. I want it again already. You can request for your meal to be mild, medium or spicy and all will be deeply flavourful. The tandoori is fabulous and the lamb is so tender you barely need to chew. I can't wait to go back.

Fabulous food, good atmosphere and great service. Being able to have cauliflower rice as an option makes a big difference if you eat low-carb or keto.

The most delicious Indian food I have ever had!! Very reasonably priced as well. The service was exceptional and staff super friendly. They checked on us asking how the food was and were we all good. The manager was so lovely, came out and had a chat to us and checking up as well. Always had a smile on his face! Best dining experience so far.

The customer service here was exceptional and the food is amazing. The Manger went the extra mile, always making you feel welcome. One time the Restaurant was fully booked and could not fit any more in. Understanding it was a special occasion, He went out of his way and opened up the cafe next door and allowed us to dine. You don't get better than that.

Why go to India when you have great Indian food in Christchurch. We always go to Little India when we visit Christchurch. Had a great dinner on Saturday night. I qualify this by saying we have been to India twice .

Recommended to visit by an Indian friend, quote " 70% authentic how we cook in India, the way spices concerned ". We arrived and ordered right before a bus of Indian tourists. For me, it's usually a good sign of authenticity . To start ,we had vegetable Pakora and half Tandoori Chicken. Pakora was decent. Tandoori chicken was dry, tasted like a double cooked Tandoori chicken, the yogurt marinate definitely wasted on this chicken . Following a long wait, we finally received our curries after they serve the 40odd tourists . Our group of 4 order a Chicken Korma, Chicken Kadai, Vege Paneer and my Bhuna Chicken . Waitress A advised us that curries dishes were hot, cautious of burning. I received my Buhna, stone cold chicken .....All other curries were piping hot... unlucky .. Waitress A took it back to kitchen, returned 1 min after. asked about if microwave was used to reheat, she replied no. Not convinced, and felt lied to. we shared our curries. Korma, Kadai and Paneer all have really distinctive flavors . reheated Bhuna was average, wetter than my go to dry Bhuna at Corianders. Taste of a mediocre curry .Asked Waitress B about if microwave was used for reheating , she answered , yes, not their one, but their next door neighbors ..... We shall return for another try for their Paneer . definitely no more Tandoori or Buhna or any other cold curries when they don't have tour buses .

Bustling atmospheric and very welcoming. Excellent authentic Indian food. Each dish is markedly different from the next, full of flavour and not over-fatty! An eye-opener for a man from Bradford, England! 10/10

I popped in quickly today at lunch time. Was staying at St George's with our newly arrived first born. I jogged in quickly and told the young man that I was trying to grab a quick lunch and why. He made sure a delicious curry, naan and some samosas were on the table quickly so I could get back to wife and baby promptly. Food and service were all top notch. Thanks Little India.

In month of June 2018, I had dinner in this restaurant.This is one of the best Restaurant offering Indian cuisine in New Zealand. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The ambiance is reasonable good.

Great service and food. Bhaji and pakora are a must have for entree. If you want the sweeter styled Butter Chicken (Murg Mumtaz) (sp) - go to your nearest food court! These guys cook on-demand - not en-mass... that sits in the bain marie for hours on end like in the food courts. All dishes come with a portion of rice. Naan is extra ($4.50). Remember...price is not the same as the food court "LUNCH COMBOS" but they have a number of weekly specials that pop up from time to time. We had a free mains voucher (fb) (when total value of meal is over $50)..which i think is pretty decent. Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma, 3x Bhaji, 8x Pakora =$66 (-$2 Didn't have dessert cause I was full as. If you want a good feed with authentic northern Indian tastes and don't mind paying that extra - top place! Haven't tried the Spitfire (Airport one) yet, but I dare say will be a similar experience.

Little India is a favorite of mine, the quality of the food is fabulous & with just the right level of spiciness; I've been working my way up to hot (from mild) finally got there today, and have not been disappointed. I've tried all the vegetarian options on the menu & my favorite has to be the Malai Kofta but the Tarka Daal is a close 2nd, really recommend this place if you like a nice curry

best indian food with authentic indian flavours. Was skeptical intially but it lived upto its name and reputation. Have ordered twice since then and it impressed us more each time. Beautiful thing is these guys offer home delivery as well. Thank you for your delicious food.

My curry was good, Naan bread burnt on the bottom side, overall it was OK. Atmosphere could have been better, no background music, just a big flat screen TV playing sports, not really ideal & no one was watching it. Long wait time.

I strongly recommend Little India, This is one of my top 10 favourite restaurants in New Zealand! The best one specialised in Indian Food for sure! Malai Tikka and Cheese Nan are absolutely delicious and the Chicken Tikka is extremely delightful, is a shame somebody go there and don’t try it. Congrats to all team, from The cheff to the staff! Beautiful food, good price and amazing service!

Had a get together at home , so ordered Little India delivery on Delivery Express app. Chicken tikka masala was best of lot, fresh and was flavoursome, was delivered quite quickly , full stars for free delivery on Delivery Express and awesome and authentic Indian food from Little India merivale.

Visited this place a few times during our holiday. As an Indian, anyone who wants authentic Indian food should visit. I would recommend the the Dal Makhni and Palak Paneer, the butter chicken is great as well. The chicken served here is halal. Staff were really friendly as well.

5 Stars for the lamb biryani!! I don’t usually say this but the biryani is so authentic that it reminds me of my mum’s biryani. I’ve been searching for the past few years and been disappointed countless times. Now finally found it at Little India - Absolute winner! Please don’t change anything. I recommend the Lamb dishes over chicken dishes.

We dined there couple of times. Food is expensive and the food is much adapted to kiwi style (mild - sweety version) - lots of cream and butter. Not very authentic Indian !! I prefer Indian fendelton.
