Until today I thought that Milton St Takeaways had the best fish and chips in Christchurch. Today I tried Majors. Now I have a new standard for best. The fish pieces were large with a thin, crisp batter and the chips were perfectly cooked with a crisp outside that I would not have guessed I would like so much. I can't imagine a better improvement on chips.

Crinkle cut chips and hot dog with sauce is so good! Best hot dogs. Fish isn't great, has that really fishy smell to it, bit of scales still on it too. Apart from the fish everything else is great

Really enjoy the food and the customer service experience is awesome. They are always so lovely and polite!! I love their menu too you can get a variety of different things its great!! Good local fish n chip shop!! 😊👍🍟🍔

Best crispy flavoured batter ever, but I am getting tired of getting a thin slice of fish from all the fish and chips shops in Christchurch. We get 70% batter. Please offer thicker fish slices even if we have to pay more for it.

Great food here. The fish are bigger than my foot (size 11). Try the fish meal for $12.50, you wont finish it in one go, no matter who you are. Massive and tasty.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Just tried for the first time.... Ticks a lot of boxes. The monster burger is huge, chips decent, hot dogs tasty. Not perfection according to my palate but Definitely worth the 4 stars. Will be back

Great crinkle chips, crunchy til the end. Potato fritters excellent. 4 for $1.10 and taste so good. crispy on the outside and fresh on the inside.

Love love LOVE this f'n'c shop, always cooked to perfection. Chips are well seasoned, fish bites are huuuge and they have the best chicken wings/nibbles ever...compared many a fnc and Majors is our 'go to' where ever we are in chch!!
