I love this McDonald. The place is set up beautifully. Most importantly the place is very tidy and clean. Very hygienic. Staff are friendly.

We only went in for a cold drink and we're extremely pleased with the service we received. The iced drinks (floats) were better than expected while the service we received at the "self service" machine couldn't be faulted. Well done all.

Great service 👏 usually buy my daily coffee from there. Same taste always doesn't matter who made it. And that's the only McDonald's who made it right compare to others in Christchurch.

One of the nicer McD's but in typical fashion the trend they are making you do all of the work in ordering saving them staff. Always bypass the 'diy' and get personal service.

Good, cheap and fast, sometimes really really packed at after school times. Usually staff are very nice and friendly, though there has been a problem with large lines due to Uber Eats drivers waiting. The only downside to this McDonalds location is the rowdy youth from nearby schools, the business has attempted to counter this by introducing maximum staying times and mandatory purchaes if they wish to not be escored off the property, however this does little to deter them. 3/5 Stars

A nice place to hangout with my wee one. Good and fast service, skilled staffs. The toilets are clean. Comparatively tidier than the other branches. Though we have other branches closer to our house, we come here more often because of the clean play area. A bit busy during public holidays / school holidays and you know the reason :D Recommended!

Papanui road McDonalds in Merivale is my favourite mcdonalds in Christchurch. What's not to like! Open 24/7/365, it has a McCafe and a playground, its ALWAYS super clean and tidy there and they have really decent bathrooms for a suburban 24 hour McDonalds. I also like that the staff there are always polite and friendly. It would've been a 5 star review, but there's no newspapers and magazines for the customers to read while they're eating anymore.

I feel like I can’t give a McDonalds 5 stars, but this is a fine McDonalds. If you know McDonalds, you won’t be disappointed. If you’re new to McDonalds, don’t get too excited. I’ve never been inside, but the drive-through is generally pretty quick. They get the order right about 90% of the time...not great, but my expectations are pretty low at McDonalds. The food is consistent, which is about as good as it gets with McDonalds.

I very rarely write reviews for any place but I very frequently visit this McDonald’s and feel as though my experience is not a one off thing. I visit this McDonald’s AT LEAST 1-2 times a week and I have never been unhappy. The food here is always hot and fresh, the service is fast and friendly and I have never once had a mistake in my order (which is usually quite a large one). Human error is a thing in a fast paced environment like fast food and it is seriously impressive that the mistakes are so few and far between. Keep up the awesome work guys! 💕

The first impression of the drivethru at McDonald's is the most important , the young male who was on Duty was very easy to understand as he repeated my order back to me and on approaching him it was obvious that he was enjoying his job. My family commented as we received our food what great staff at the drivethru.

The girl had a really awesome attitude when we wanted alterations to our meal. Really appreciated it. Also, the food tasted very fresh. Chips could have been a little more crunchy but other than that awesome service!

This has always been a good Maccas with good seating areas. Who knew our cheese burger orders would take so long, not sure what happened there but finally got our order. The self service order worked without a hitch.

Great McDonald's restaurant, with electronic kiosks to order your meal, that makes ordering a burger an absolute breeze! There is also table service here, so once you order your meal through the electronic kiosk, a staff member brings the meal to your table! I don't know how new this particular system is but I was quite impressed by it to be honest! My burger was ready within a couple of minutes as well, served hot, and fresh! Will definitely come here again and highly recommend this McDonald's to people wanting a pleasant, dining experience that is also good value!

It had been some time since i had been to mccafe and had to learn how to use the machines to place an order. The lady that showed us how it all works was deaf and she was just great and made it very easy for us to be able to do again thank you.

Located in the heart of Merivale this McDonald's comes with a security guard to make sure you are parking and actually going to McDonalds Other than that this is actually a large place where you can come to hear nerdy Christs College high school kids talk about all the action they plan on getting around their money and video games. It was the middle of the night when my husband and I pulled into the McDonald's drive thru after waiting in the after hours for 3 hours with our toddler. We were on our way to to the hospital and feeling exhausted and pretty down. I can say that we didn't expect to leave the drive through with smiles on our faces. The man who served us was hilarious and brought smiles to our faces. He was chatty and friendly, helpful when we struggled to order because of exhaustion and then proceeded to chat to us and share a great assortment of puns. The chips were hot and crispy and the burgers were great. Just what we needed for our coming 5 hour wait at the hospital. Thank you for the midnight pick me up- it meant a lot for our little family.

Best McDonalds in the country. Always kept tidy and clean. Security on duty most nights to keep everyone safe. Best service from staff. This McDonalds also provides wet cloths at recycling bins so that customers can clean their tables afterwards if they choose (very helpful feature). I always prefer this McDonalds over any other in Christchurch.

As far as McDonalds goes, this Inge is pretty decent. Order barely gets stuffed up here. Cafe pretty well stocked. And if you dine in it's quite light and airy and doesn't feel cramped.

When I was about 6, I was here with my grandma, my little sister and my dog. My grandma, sister and dog waited outside while I went in to get the food, and the people behind the counter ignored me politely standing at the front of the queue for about half an hour cos they were busy serving the adults. I eventually left in tears. This was a couple decades ago now, but I'm pretty sure it's why I still desperately seek validation from McDonald's workers, and that's what led to my last chlamydia scare. I do love the fries though.

McDonald's is as McDonald's does. This one has a free meeting room that you can book out. Great for committee gatherings if you don't have a space of your own and don't mind conducting your business in a McD's. The McCafe means you can have your meeting and enjoy a proper hot drink and proper muffin as well 😉

Hey guys, when you order tea using the machine you can only order black tea you can change order for sugar but there doesn't seem to be an option for milk no milk as it does with fizzy drinks ie Diet or not. Also leave the tea bag out or in so if you want weak tea youre out of luck because the tea nag is always in. I didn't check out the coffee whether it's the same. It was no big deal for us as we went to the counter and asked for milk. Would be nice if we didn't have to queue to ask for milk. Else great experience.

Everything worked. Comfy chairs. Prep was fast. Love having the food delivered to my table. The aircon was awesome on a 32C sunny day at the dawn of the age of runaway climate change.

McDonald's Merivale is a great McDonalds. Been around since the 80's and is a stalwart of the Christchurch fastfood scene. Owned by the Traills - it really is a well run efficient franchise. Would recommend calling there whenever the desire pops up.

I find Merivale McDonald’s reasonably consistent with its food and coffee. Friendly staff and James alway adds enthusiasm to the drive through experience.

Food was great coffee was expensive for the size of long blacks but it was brewed well , table wasn't clean at lounge chairs area and it wasn't that busy in café part of the store but wasn't busy in general so shouldn't of been dirty.
